Great service

Bought my AJS Moderna last year. It's great. Got it from this store cheaper than anywhere as they bought in bulk. 5 year warranty which in have used no quibble for couple of minor points. Friendly staff, great service and will return. Thanks!!

Excellent from first email to delivery

Just brought a little new scooter for my daughter’s 16th …. Very helpful and quick at replying on email …. Nice little showroom and a good selection of bikes to view !! Quick and easy purchase and arranged free delivery too .. dropped off when said at the exact time too, driver really helpful to explained about how the warranty works with them etc and had a 8 page pack detailing everything so don’t know why people complain about not knowing etc etc I’ve been a biker for 20 years and brought many bikes from many dealers and this company is excellent !! Just need to wait until march now to surprise her with it !!

Friendly and Helpful

Bought a used bike off Facebook which turned out to be a nightmare.

Came to Speedway to get something I could rely on for work. Found a little Yamasaki after trying several bikes. The lady who helped me was really patient.

Bike arrived 2 days later and I love it. Aftersales have been brilliant, with servicing.

Will definitely be back to buy my next bike.

Having purchased 2 bikes now from Speedway Motorcycles. I can highly recommend their service. Nothing is too much hassle and their pricing is very reasonable.
I'd like to specifically mention Ryan who went above and beyond. Personally delivered a bike to me at 5am to ensure I got to work on time. Really happy with the service. Thanks again!

2 years on still love it.

Rang up regarding a bike on Autotrader, ive had the bike just over 2 years now and I can't fault the service provided.

The bike has been fantastic, I had a warranty claim for a kill switch. Was sent out to me in less than 48 hours I was back on the road.
Super friendly team whenever I call.

Don't understand all the 1 star reviews as ive had nothing but a great experience.

Long review but read before purchase

I had a look on line at their scooters, this was just to be a run around for the summer etc not my main transport. I was enticed by their apparently unbelievable warranty 5 years etc etc. I visited the store the next day 27th August and seen one of the Directors and I told her I was looking for a Modena 125 in red if they had one. I was advised that they didn't have one on site but I could look at a customers red one in the back of the store that was in for repair which I did and it had a side panel off. I left the shop and went home the next day I placed an order on line with finance for the bike and received a phone call within 10 minutes to pay the £200 deposit which I did. I told them I was going on holiday and I was in no rush for the bike and I could pick it up on the 8th of September which was agreed. When I got off the phone I received an email asking me to click the link to agree their T&C's BE AWARE WHEN YOU CLINK THIS LINK THIS IS YOU AGREEING you are not going through to a second page with the T&Cs. It was at this point I noticed that the 5 year warranty only existed if you had the bike serviced by them 4 times a year at very short mileage intervals so I called them and said I wouldn't do 500 miles in a year let a lone 3 months and I would like to cancel. The phone was then passed to the fantastically customer friendly Gary (the owner)who proceeded to tell me there are no refunds as the bike had been prepared and registered already in my name. I told him this was impossible as I had only ordered it 43 minutes ago so it couldn't have had its PDI and be taxed that quickly as it wasn't even on site yesterday Gary told me I viewed the bike yesterday and I advised I hadn't I only seen a bike that was a customers and had a damaged panel, he told me that was my bike. I asked him why was the bike registered so quickly since I wasn't picking it up for another ten days and he just advised it was done and no refund.

I sent a letter to Speedway by recorded delivery listing all of the above and requesting my deposit back before any legal action was taken and also emailed the same letter without response. I contacted my credit card company and advised that I thought I should have a refund for numerous issues relating to transparency and dishonest practices. After a few weeks back and forth with information the credit card company agreed and returned my deposit (this is not a common practice) but advised that the dealer had 4 weeks to object. Good old Gary objected straight away because this is obviously how they make a certain amount of their income. Again the credit card company upheld my complaint and refund. I had a look on DVLA and could see that the bike wasn't actually registered on the day they advised but later.

So the moral of the story is stay away they are scam artists looking for a quick £200 and no doubt Gary will be on because he loves a reply but forget the reply and just read this again, not to be trusted and my credit card company agreed.

dear sir, we experience buyers remorse on a regular basis. the fact that you accepted the terms and conditions and paid us a deposit the day after viewing we believed you to be a genuine customer.
how wrong were we!. your behaviour and bad language is not what we would expect from anyone.
it is quite obvious why you were met with our stance.
if you care to read the terms and conditions correctly, you will see that the bike only has to come back to us once (yearly) for servicing to maintain the warranty.

Stay Away

My step son bought a bike from earlier in the year, unfortunately since purchasing the bike he's had nothing but issues, parts breaking, parts falling off etc. when we reached out for the latest issue with the exhaust mount snapping he was told that because he hadn't kept the warranty valid with them they weren't prepared to do anything other than bodge a weld to the mount. When conversations developed they became quite aggressive and took the "we don't care attitude", even when presented with the trading standards approach they responded with "we look forward to it". Stay clear of them, they are selling cheap Chinese bikes, making out you are making a huge saving on the RRP price which is clearly over inflated to begin with.

Wouldn't argue with you if this was a maintainable part of the bike, however it's isn't, it's clearly a fault on the exhaust bracket itself, which is structural and by introducing a weld to this adds a weakness to the exhaust mount. The bikes are built using cheap Chinese parts that don't last. When my step son bought the bike I did ask why he had gone for a cheap brand as from experience I knew he would have nothing but problems with it. As I stated previously I wouldn't recommend you to anyone as the after sales is poor, and very typical of a retailer selling cheap items

as we pointed out to you. in order to make a warranty claim with the manufacturer we have to provide them with the service history.
as you failed to have your bike maintained in the correct manor we are unable to make a claim on your behalf.
for this reason (to help you out) we offered to weld your snapped exhaust.
the recordings of this are on our file that show that you were the aggressor, using abusive language gets you nowhere.
i hope that you can now understand our stance.

We brought a bike from Speedway motors…

We brought a bike from Speedway motors in Cannock and they was fantastic with the sale but after a year the bike is falling apart and they did not help or offer any advice nothing. We was supposed to have a 5 year warranty but because we had it serviced elsewhere they have voided it. They are very rude and arrogant when you call for advice and I would tell anyone to buy your bikes elsewhere as I will never go there again very unprofessional. I am currently in the process of starting legal proceedings against them as it’s with my solicitor.

Had my bike 11 moths had change the…

Had my bike 11 moths had change the battery yesterday went to work to day parked up now I've found brake fluid flecking all down the front wheel rang speedway after talking to some one because I have not had a service after 6 months they have said my woranty has gone the bike as only done 140 miles as only drive it to work in the summer I've had 4 bikes off them I feel like they don't care after you pay your money with wot I no now will never go there again so be wary

unfortunately Ian, all bikes have to be serviced within the manufacturers guidelines in order for us to make a warranty claim.
as you have had numerous bikes we would have assumed that this was a given.
you did sign the terms and conditions confirming that you understood this.

Keep away from these thieves!!! Brought a bike for my wife told it was brand new model had been pdi inspected rode it home and the rear shock was shot no damping whatsoever she took it back less than 24 hrs later they tried to fob her off with they are all like that WRONG after speaking to them they agreed to swop the shock I wanted her old bike back and the balance she had paid only to be told her old bike had already been re serviced and that if she wanted it back it was going to cost her £500 this is totally wrong under the sales of goods act 2015 But they think they are above the law . They did change the shock for a new one but only after I told them it was going to an mot station immediately after which it did they picked up the throttle was sticking the wheels were out of alignment which I put right myself as I wouldn't trust them with a pushbike I am currently waiting for Trading Standards to get back to me as this company want stopping they have no morals are rude and somebody is going to get seriously hurt with how they prepare and send bikes out For your own safety stay away the reply from them below is total shite the shock absorber WAS BROKEN I Have been riding bikes for 45 yrs and racing at semi professional level so know what I'm talking about NOTHING WAS SAID about the bike being 6 months old she was told it was brand new I admit I didn't want her to have a bike off you because of your abysmal reputation around the area you twist the truth to suit yourselves warranty means nothing and as for you changed the shock out of good will you did it because I was going to take the bike to an mot station and then contacting the DSA about your poor No appalling attempt at PDI on a bike I am still waiting on Trading Standards because someone has to stop you treating customers the way you do

we are very sorry that you feel we deserve a 1 star review.
you purchased a 6 month old, pre registered bike and part exchanged your old bike.
it was obvious from the start that you did not want your wife to have this bike as you were outside our premises for 15 minutes arguing over losing so much money on swapping your bike over.
after returning it the following day demanding that we reverse the deal we explained that
1. we had registered and taxed this new bike for your wife.
2. we had carried out a full service and clean on your wifes part exchange.
3. the shock absorber was completely fine. it was not leaking, it was not sticking and it operated in the correct manor.
we agreed to swap this over purely as a good will gesture as you were adamant that it was no good.
it was obvious that you were having buyers remorse but unfortunately as there was not an issue we not able to reverse it for you.

I bought a brand new lexmoto titan 125…

I bought a brand new lexmoto titan 125 it was ok in the beginning but now have problems I have had to take to a garage and I had to have new exhaust,new heat sensor.the company say you get warranty but when you ask them they say it don't stand as I have got a mechanic as they wanted me to pay for them to pick up the bike why should I have to pay when bike is still under warranty absolutely disgusting I wouldn't recommend this company

i was right about speedway cycles they addmiited in an email to me saying................you clearly accepted our terms and conditions, we have your emails to prove it! or was it your brother again who accessed your computer confirming that we needed to proceed.
perhaps your anger should be vented towards him.
I agree with you. this is what we sent you as we have your previous messages confirming exactly that.

Would not recommend this company at all. Had a bike from them and had nothing but issues. The shop would not accept responsibility or repair the bike despite it being under warranty. The quality is not worth the money spent. The bikes are cheap and imported. Seems like I’m not the only person that has had issues after reading other reviews. Take your money elsewhere.

customer dropped off two vehicles, claiming that one stopped working after 10 minutes and the other was difficult to operate. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the customer had over-adjusted the front brake, causing it to bind. The second bike had a flat battery and required a full 6-hour charge. As a gesture of goodwill, the customer was not charged for these services and took possession of the vehicles.

Approximately 2-3 weeks later, the customer returned, stating that both bikes were again not working after 15 minutes, and one had completely stopped functioning. A subsequent examination revealed that one bike had sustained accident damage and had been crudely repaired with tape. The battery had come loose inside the bike, dislodging the motor plugs and causing the chain to drop off due to poor maintenance. The second bike had another flat battery. We recharged the battery and conducted a thorough test, which involved continuous operation for 35 minutes without any issues. CCTV footage confirms the proper functioning of both models during this test.

The customer was informed that they could collect the vehicles, but a £40 diagnostic charge would be applied since no fault was found with the products. The customer expressed dissatisfaction and refused to accept the products, even after we offered to allow them to test the bikes in our presence or seek a second opinion.

Regrettably, this appears to be a case of buyer's remorse, and the CCTV footage clearly refutes the customer's claims. We recommend that the customer familiarize themselves with the proper maintenance procedures for these products to avoid similar issues in the future.
