Working with Rodia Vance as a Spivey Pro Bono Client was truly a boon, particularly during what was an unprecedentedly intense admissions cycle. Rodia was careful to keep the reins in my hands throughout the entire process, nudging me in the right direction with candid advice as I crafted my essays, prepared for interviews, and polished my resume, but also giving me the agency to follow my instincts and curate an application package that remained true to me. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin this past cycle, and as someone who felt like I didn’t have a particularly compelling story, I am confident that I put forth my best application. I worked with Paula Gluzman and I have to say her guidance was essential in my application being successful and getting me accepted into Penn Carey Law School. Of course, my opinion reflects only my experience but I can say with certainty if I had not made the investment to work with Paula I would not have been able to start my law school in September of 2026. Specifically, there is a lot of minute details and nuances that must be taken into account when applying for law school, especially when submitting a large number of applications. The details become even more overwhelming when you realize that each school has its own unique application process. However, working with Paula was extremely helpful because she streamlined the complicated application process and made it manageable given the relatively short amount of time that I had. In addition, I should say that the feedback that Paula provided me after reviewing my essays and application material was also extremely helpful and constructive. Her feedback was honest, detailed, and straightforward and she was very quick and responsive when replying to my emails. She was also very clear about her availabilities which made planning easier. Overall, given my personal circumstances and the tight timeline that I was on, Paula's guidance and feedback was absolutely a game-changer for me and enabled me to put together a polished, top-notch application that eventually got me into Penn Carey Law School.

From start to finish, Hannah ensured that my application cycle would yield the best results possible given my complicated circumstances (lower GPA, later application submission, highly competitive cycle). All that considered, I knew I'd have an uphill battle in front of me applying to highly competitive law programs; Hannah helped to set realistic expectations, maximize the potential of my written materials, and keep me on track. She was always available when I needed her, and gave wonderful advice regarding which schools to apply to and where to focus my energy. Additionally, she was greatly helpful navigating the addendum process and making sure that these materials helped, rather than hurt, my application. Overall, I had a wonderful experience working with Hannah and was ultimately admitted to my top choice law school thanks to her expertise. I would highly recommend working with both Hannah and Spivey during the law school application process.

I just finished an amazing admissions cycle with Anne Dutia. Because I have some non-traditional aspects of my educational, professional, and personal history, she did a great job ensuring that every piece of my story tied together in a cohesive manner. Further, she was instrumental in helping me trim unnecessary parts of my essays while elaborating on valuable parts that I had omitted.

Her communication style is also praiseworthy. I was clear on the outset that I preferred direct feedback to sugarcoating. Anne really delivered on this. She was very honest (but polite) about bad ideas that I initially thought were good, and her suggestions came back timely and in great detail.

In hindsight, this service was even more helpful than I originally expected. Given the value of admission results and scholarships, the five application package I bought would've still been worth it at twice the price.

My advisor Paula was so caring and patient from day one. She gave me a roadmap, surrounded me with resources, and made herself available all the time. No questions were too small or too large for her and she was genuinely invested in my success. My applications would not have been the same without her! I have some friends who used other Spivey consultants and have not had exactly the same experience so there is perhaps some variance among consultants.

Erika Guckenberger hands down is the best there is at Spivey. I greatly valued his prior experience directly in Law School Admissions, so felt like I could trust his advice and insights. Working with Tom Robinson from Spivey was an incredible experience! As a nontraditional applicant, I was uncertain and concerned about how best to package my non-legal experiences into compelling essays for law school.
