Hopeless service lots of excuses

Ordered items needed for a trip paid for next day delivery got a tracking link but parcel not shipped they blamed DPD explained were needed urgently assured would be on a pre 10 by email. No surprise then told would be on a pre 10.30 with another courier .....nothing arrives . In fairness Ashton at the Pall Mall shop took it on and we managed to get UPS to deliver by 11.30 ….really it’s DPD and UPS who should get zero stars and Ashton 5

I'm new to fly fishing. Danny was very knowledgeable (and patient) and talked me through everything I would need to get going. There was no pressure whatsoever, just good, considered advice. Very wide range of equipment to peruse. I left the store very happy with my purchases and have used the kit since on several occasions and am very happy with the rod, reel, etc. that I was advised to buy. Definitely recommended.

I bought a Hardy Aydon 6 piece 9ft 5# travel rod. Very nice moderate action and light in the hand. Genuine 5# and works well with Rio Gold. Would be overlined with some lines which a half or 1 full size heavier eg Rio Grande.

Visited Sportfish on Mon 04/03/2024 to be fitted and purchase waders and wading boots.
My customer experience with Danny was out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble, and his knowledge was second to none. In what seemed like a twinkling of an eye I was kitted out with everything I needed. All in all a very positive and pleasing visit.

There is a fundamental dishonesty about how this company operates.

They invite customers to submit product reviews, but seem to only actually post positive ones on their site.

I've submitted two negative product reviews and they haven't printed either of them. In fact, I can't find a single negative review on the entire Sportfish website!

They list only 5 star Trustpilot reviews on their website ('what our customers think') even though their actual score is below 5!

Incidentally, how does Trustpilot let them do that?

As a retailer Sportish is fine, but I try to avoid using them whenever I can as such basic disingenuity/lack of transparency shouldn't be rewarded.

My item was dispatched on 4th October. Still not delivered on October 17th despite contacting the company last week. Not service I expect from Sportfish. John Odell

I myself are pleased with the service I received you do get your small ups and downs but they soon rectify it ,as a hole I am satisfied with there service and distribution.

Excellent website and super fast delivery, ordered on Tuesday pm and items arrived on Wednesday morning!! you cant get faster than that , will use again in confidence....
