Not great treatment as existing customer versus new customer
Received a renewal quote £5 per month than current policy. Went online and found same policy with them for £4 cheaper. Went back to them but they would not budge on the renewal quote citing the advantage of being 12 months into the 24 month window for pre-existing conditions as the reason for the higher premium. As my cat has no pre-existing conditions this was no advantage to me. Asked again if they would revise the renewal quote given this and given that taking out a new policy meant 14 days uncovered at the beginning. Told them if not to cancel the renewal. Simply received the standard cancellation email in reply. Lovely way to treat existing customers! Took out the fresh policy at the cheaper price, but disappointed with the whole experience.

Renewing an existing policy maintains continuity of cover, whereas starting a new policy can mean waiting periods and the pre-existing condition periods beginning again. We always aim to balance competitive pricing with the value of maintaining continuous cover.

A really good insurance provider for pets. I’ve used them years and even at the worst times, they were great at helping cancelling my insurance when my pet died. They were supportive, caring and really prompt throughout.

A caring, committed and professional insurance company.
I’ve always had great service, and great support from this insurance company and would highly recommend them. With each every query that I’ve ever made or concern that I’ve had, my questions are answered immediately and I get all the support and help that I require.
I’ve been with spoton for a number of years now, and highly recommend them as they are one of the few insurance companies that do care about our pets. They answer emails promptly and when needed, they certainly can be relied on.

To be honest I was sceptical that I would have a good experience when using spot On insurance for a clam after my dog had an accident. It seems that way these days but honestly, the claim was easy, the response was immediate and the payment was made without hassle. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't normally recommend anything to people but I would unreservedly recommend Spot On . PLUS their prices are pretty competitive.

Expensive and difficult to claim
Very expensive insurance compared to others on the market, and I have never been able to make a claim as there are hidden exceptions. I've been paying this company for years, and the first time my pet needed expensive treatment they told me it was not covered. I won't be renewing.

I would recommend spot on insurance as they keep you informed of how your claim is going. They are prompt with the payment into your account. I’ve been with them just over a year and made three claims with our elderly cat and had no trouble with them.

I can't fault spoton pet insurance
I can't fault spoton pet insurance. Olive, my pet cat was 16 years old when I took out insurance for her with spoton, just 3 or 4 years ago. The monthly premiums were very competitive with very little increase year on year.
Unfortunately Olive became ill about 18 months ago and needed medical help and medication since then.
Spot on have always been so easy to contact and always replying very quickly. The website is easy to access and use when making a claim. I have found spoton to be very fair with the claims I have made and reimbursement has been swiftly repaid to my credit card.
The service offered is extremely efficient. Olive has passed on now but spoton have always treated Olive and me with respect and kindness.
I would recommend spoton to anyone seeking pet insurance.
