I really liked this company
I really liked this company. Good communication throughout. The pack they sent to return my phone was superb and the report they sent outlining the condition of my phone was very comprehensive but easy to read. I would highly recommend them if you are selling tech.

I can see why you are disappointed with the difference in value, however the initial value was based on the iPhone SE (2020) being 'barely used' (which is defined as having no visible or feelable scratches). Unfortunately your phone was well used as it had cosmetic wear that is also visible on the before pictures that you uploaded. This is the reason why the price is different.
We do offer free returns but I can see you accepted and withdrew the final value instead.
I hope this explanation helps but please let us know if there's anything else we can do.
Appalling company
Appalling company. iPhone 11 full working order and no damage or scratches. Offered a price then tried to reduce it by 25%. Would avoid at all costs.
The response below is also a lie. There was no damage to the volume button. Just bull**** to try and justify a lower price

Unfortunately sometimes we can't pay the initial value as the condition declared doesn't match our requirements and definitions. We did believe the phone had more than minor cosmetic issues (such as the dent in the volume button - a picture of this side was not included in the uploaded before pictures so we'll have to agree to disagree on that - and general wear overall).
I understand you're not happy with our final value and so it is being returned to you for free asap today and you have the tracking for this already.
If you have any thoughts on anything else (other than paying the value you wanted) that would have made the experience better for you then please let us know as we'd love to hear it.
Would use again just for the interface :)
Used the reusable envelope I picked up at a station to sell off an old phone I had at home. The whole interaction was super smooth and seamless, loved all the details about the phone I was selling and the elements in it, I learned so much! I did get only 1/3 of the quoted price but

Looks like the price difference was as the iPhone 7 was declared as 'barely used' but it unfortunately had some cosmetic damage and lcd screen pixel issues.

Straightforward trade-in experience
I had a good experience with Spring. Their parcels are readily available in my local Co-op and they seem very protective and robust. The process of packing it up, dropping it off and completing the steps online are really straightforward. I wasn’t offered anything near the quotation which left me a bit underwhelmed, an explanation would’ve been useful. I did accept and was able to withdraw my funds instantly. I would use Spring again!

I was given a guide price and that it what I got after I sent it in - I was worried that they would find reasons not to pay in full but they didn't and the money went into my bank account the same day I got the quote, which was only a day or so after I sent it in. The quote was much higher than other websites and I would definitely use Spring again!

Gap in value with too little explanation
I was given an expected value of £66 for my iphone, but was paid £53 after the checks. Not enough clarity or explanation was provided for this discrepancy.

Hi Amber, the initial valuation of £65-£66 was based on the declared condition of your iPhone 8 as 'barely used'. This means no visible (or feel-able) scratches, dents or damage.
Although the condition was good there was some visible and feel-able scratching.
This should have shown on your phones health check report (with a red i next to the part of the device we found had some signs of use). You can also always click the webchat option on our website, to chat to a real person and we're always happy to discuss the reasons for the change in value.
We always offer to return the device for free if you're not happy but I can see you've now accepted the final value.

Sent iphone 12 pro max 512gb
Sent iphone 12 pro max 512gb - couple of light scratches on screen, no where and tear to the body or casing of the phone. They valued it at £491, then dropped the value price to £265. The phone is in full working order and i took pictures of the entire phone before sending and there is absolutely no wear to the phone itself minus a couple of light tiny scratches on the screen. Id understand the value decreasing a little but not by almost half. That is just insulting.
Its really not worth sending anything to these unless its immaculate, as they drop their ‘value’ of your items quite drastically. Do not get sucked in by their marketing. They are also very quick to respond on Spring with some excuses…

Unfortunately screen wear does reduce the value to us as we’d need to replace this before rehoming it. And immaculate phones would be worth more to any trade in company.
