Abby at the Kingsbridge office has been a pleasure to work with and the whole team have been very patient as we pushed through with our purchase in this very tricky climate.

On the hunt for a rental property- applied for one through stags and they made the decision that said property was “too small” for me and my family even though it has a more than adequate amount of space.
Refused a viewing and refused to speak any further about the matter.
Unprofessional and strange behaviour, rude to deal with on the phone and even though I am absolutely desperate to find a rental home with a good sized budget, I would rather stay where I am than deal with Stags again. Avoid!

As part of our property search we registered with Stags' Launceston office. All the staff, but especially Greg Leeman, were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, they listened and understood our requirements, and thanked us for feedback on the property details we were sent. It was a pleasure to deal with this Stags office.

Terrible at following up. Viewed a property on a Saturday and did not hear back from them on Monday. I had to phoned them to book a second viewing which was not a big deal.

After the second viewing I said I would put an offer in the next day but again never got a call from them. I phoned again to make an offer. Again no big deal.

However, I never heard anything from them ever since! Not even an update on whether my offer has been rejected! I found out the property was sold on Rightmove 2 days after I placed my offer. I do not usually leave any reviews but I found this unacceptable. I felt disrespected. I did not even put in a low ball offer. My offer matched the asking! No reason to treat your potential buyer like this. Will never have anything to do with Stags in the future.

I spent, the who of Christmas without heating or running water , I reported a leak on 19th Dec22, when I was promised a plumber the next day , no one turned up, when I rang the Office they had all gone on Christmas leave, Finally on Jan 4th I managed to get hold of some one, the leak was fixed on 7th Jan, I still have no Bathroom as the flooring needs replacing and the work is not finished. I was left to Freeze alone without support, when I challenged the company no reply just brushed off, without an apology. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Well having had a quick glance on the website I had a call from Karen F asking if there was anything that I needed help with. To say Karen went above and beyond would be an understatement at best, an amazing lady putting all my concerns at bay. A highly professional and knowledgeable lady, first rate customer service and the type of employee no company should let go

Two months ago I went to view a property to rent in Simonsbath on Exmoor. I was shown around a spacious bungalow and decided there and then that I would apply to rent it. I was told that there were two other parties applying and that all of our applications would be sent to the landlord. I didn't hear anything for a week, so I called Stags to enquire as to whether a decision had been made. I was told that the landlord was very apologetic about the delay, and a decision was imminent. Another week went by and again I called, and received more or less the same update. After more time had gone by, I searched on Rightmove/Zoopla/OnTheMarket for a different property. But I found that the bungalow I had applied for at Simonsbath was still being advertised, even though there were three parties had applied and were being considered by the landlord. Not only that, but the photos had also been updated as there were no kitchen appliances in the original photos. A day later I received an e-mail from the Tiverton office of Stags, stating that they were extremely sorry about the delay, but it was basically the landlords fault. I responded to this e-mail, stating that they were actually also to blame, and that they were working with the landlord for alternative applicants, and that their advert had been updated. Needless to say, I have never heard from them since. I have dealt with other letting agents, who have had the manners to keep me updated, and to tell us straight away if our application was unsuccessful, and not been lied to. As far as I know we still have a live application submitted, but two months on we have settled into a nice cottage in South Wales, where the agent told us within two hours that we had been successful applying. So Stags, please take this review as a termination of our application, you are extremely unprofessional, have no compassion towards customers at a stressful time, and are dishonest.

A big thanks for the wonderful team especially Jackie and Tess at Stags Exeter. They were polite, professional, helpful, friendly, and a real pleasure to work with. At best agents can be 'dream makers' and creating the possibility of finding your perfect home and in this case they made that happen. Stags are also very methodical too, in the package they give and inventory check from start to finish. Each person i speak to at Stags I have had the same great service and experience. I give them 10/10!

We recently sold and purchased our new property with Stags, the Dulverton branch in Somerset and the Wadebridge branch in Cornwall respectively. There were major problems and delays throughout, all of which were caused by one firm of solicitors. Both branches of Stags were truly amazing, our local branch, Dulverton went way beyond what anyone would have expected. Communication was great at all times, and I simply can not explain my gratitude and satisfaction to them. I wish I could give 10 stars to both branches. Using Tina Turners words ‘SIMPLY THE BEST!’

I’d heard bad things about stage before I rented through them but I’d not realised how bad they would be. I was told (yelled at is more accurate) in November that the severe mould in my flat was my fault and that I should open my windows and get rid of a lot of my stuff! The mould was clearly eternal and was a problem in the rest of the building, I asked the other tenants in the complex what it was like and they had very similar stories. I was yelled at and spoken to with such little decency by them I was shocked. I complained multiple times but nothing was done. They had no emergency numbers should the situation arrive as it did for me when my fuse box blew and the hot water stopped working all in 1 day, as it was a Saturday I had to wait until the Monday to get it fixed. If I could describe this estate agency in a few words they would be - rude, incompetent, unprofessional and awful. I would never recommend to rent or buy through them, I would certainly never do so again. Stay away from them and tell as many people as possible to do the same.

Excellent agency, found us a buyer very quickly and communicated throughout, extremely helpful at all times.

I do not understand how anyone can recommend Stags in Bridport, Dorset. They are completely underhand, and are a discredit to most of the Estate Agents in this area.
They do not return calls, and do not keep you in the loop.
Their negotiators are invariable 'on the phone' or 'out of the office'.
Appalling.

Very professional team in the Torquay Office. Quick sale that was handled efficiently and professionally.

An appalling experience with Stags as letting agents.
Despite a deteriorating standard of accommodation due to a persistent damp problem, they and our landlord failed to resolve the problem...or do anything about the problem actually. They thought it acceptable to continue to charge top rent for a property that was anything but.
