Unsolicited call that was a total con and they left no contact details, although they said my offer was subject to a 28 day cooling off period. No idea how to cancel.

ST&R Limited will also attempt to complete a 'welcome call' to introduce ourselves as your broker. This is to ensure that you understand the policy that has been put in place, and how it meets your demands and needs.

Not like for like life insurance
I had a sales call which was to offer like for like life insurance, which I thought they did until I read the paperwork 2 days later which said I had been declined critical illness cover! Good job I checked. Beware of this company.

I had a life insurance policy with…
I had a life insurance policy with Wcottish Widows through the same broker for years. I was on protected client list to prevent cold calling. This company cold called me persistently posing as Scottish Widows, claiming they needed to verify the terms of my policy to ensure it was optimum. In fact, they were a separate broker, cold calling, who then set up a completely new and mis sold policy on false pretences. Since May of last year I have had hundreds of pounds taken by two direct debits- eventually figuring out there were two policies one fraudulent, I repeatedly cancelled direct debits and even spoke directly to both ST&R and Scottish Widows, raising a complaint and requesting reimbursement, and making it absolutely clear that I wanted no business with or through ST&R, no policies should be active and no direct debits were authorised. I explained directly to Scottish Widows last month that in my last conversation with ST&R they had tried to establish a new policy and that I in no way authorised it- they assured me all policies were closed bar my chosen pre-existing policy with my established broker.
I said as much directly to ST&R on a call last month. They said no further policies existed nor would they attempt to take any more payments out of my bank account.
Only to find a few days ago, that YET AGAIN a second direct debit had appeared on my account and a NEW POLICY had been opened on the 2nd Feb, at twice the premium and half the cover of my existing policy… Is this real??!!
I just had to spend hours on the phone directly with a Scottish Widows agent again today getting to the bottom of how this could possibly happen.
This company has defrauded me and stolen hundreds of pounds. Money I can ill afford and want back.
They should be held to account and face serious sanctions from any relevant FSA oversight: this is underhanded, unethical theft. It undermines trust in the whole sector. I really am angered that companies in this sphere would operate in such bad faith, repeatedly and without apparent concern, with something so important.
Disgusting.

Absolute Scam
They try to scam you by claiming to be your insurance provider to do a review and then take out a new policy to try and get as much commission as possible. This is illegal tactics.

New policies
After reviewing my initial life insurance policy that I had got the previous year (not using ST&R), we realised my policy didn't cover nearly enough. Nathan walked me and my partner through the process to get a new, updated and secure policy.
Additionally after mine got delayed, I got in touch with Nathan again and he's sorted out and got in touch with the provider quickly. He's been great and I've felt like I left my policy in good hands.

Unwanted cold calls. I’ve asked many times to not be contacted yet the calls persists.
