Awful on so many levels
Apart from the terrible search functionality, if you set up an auto-renewal through Paypal, you pay the money and StarNow doesn't recognise it. So you've paid and are denied access. To rub salt into the wound, there is zero customer service. They have an AI that just keeps saying they're sorry it's frustrating and they're escalating the issue to a human agent who'll contact you in a few hours via email. Spoiler alert....still waiting....unless their view of 'a few hours' is two days.

I am glad I googled the business, I was just so close to making payment.. I did quick calculations and the 6 month subscription for $44 was cheaper than the 3 month subscription for $55.. that made me hear alarm bells.

Ive been with Starnow since 2005 and they have definitely turned into a money hungry business. You use to be able to post ads and pay but now all they care about is what they can make you spend to advertise on their website. They are disgusting - once you pay as a talent or an employer you are not guaranteed any opportunities and if you want a good advert you have to pay up large now. Just start you a page on FB and promote yourself there - someone needs to shut this website down.
Dont say nudes.
As with many companies, I suspect they have bots answering support problems? Or maybe just unhelpful human. I posted a call for photgraphy models. I specifically mention, nudes not requested or required. They would not let it go, they repetedly said, "you mention nudes", over and over. No matter how much I explained, they could not seem to understand what I was saying. So "nudes" was dangerous and required many saftey measures. I provided as much detail as possible, re emphasising I said, " nudes not requested or required". But the emails continued. Then it was suggested if I paid more for this, then it was ok. So no more danger, or proof I was safe???

Avoid this company. They don't respond to emails, and don't give them your credit card details. They want you to pay a membership and after checking Trustpilot reviews overseas there's not one good review about this company!

I have been using this platform for a few years now and have found it to be amazing.As far as all the staff go , they are on the ball ,go far and beyond

Re updating this even though someone closed my account and whipped out all 146 of my castings and hard work I have done over the past 5 years...

I've been with and supported StarNow for years. I have a "Pro" profile, yet couldn't put up a listing for my project. I waited two weeks for my first listing to get approved. It didn't. I emailed, no response. I tried again 2 weeks later for the same listing. No approval and no email response for my second email. My listing didn't go against the guidelines. Regardless they could have contacted me via email if it did, which they didn't. It's been over a month now since those emails. I was unable to source any talent from Australia for my project. Just disappointed. I will be unsubscribing from their website. Not sure how I will do that if they aren’t responding to emails!!!

Appreciate the solid customer service
I recently was unknowingly charged to renew my 6 month subscription. I was annoyed about this because I didn’t receive any notification or email that this was about to happen. I was just meant to remember to cancel my subscription.
Even though technically StarNow isn’t required to notify before deducting payment, I think they ought to because people are busy and they forget.
I asked that they refund me because times are tough and money’s money. Thankfully the customer service team were understanding and showed that by making an exception and refunding the money. I honestly did not expect this because they really don’t have to. So it very highly appreciated that they did.
I still think a little courtesy email reminding people about their subscription payment should be put in place. Considering people in the entertainment never have any money and that could be next week’s groceries. But again, thank you kindly for your understanding.

I was having difficulty in uploading pics and a video to the Star Now platform. The Customer Support Team were brilliant. Not only did they guide me through the process, the follow up was impeccable. Great work Michael from Star Now 110/100 to you :)

The Beggining of Casting .
Hello ,Star Now was recommended to me from a model shoot I recently went on ....I'm blown away at the layout ,and how many jobs there are .Also the staff get back very fast and helpful...I'm new to the Casting World , let's see where this Road takes me .

I didnt ever have any luck whilst on the site, however I'm sure a lot of people do have success. I completely forgot about the account I made many years ago and could no longer access it but the staff where absolutely amazing when it came to finding and deleting my profile for me. I did have a brief look and the platform has improved and looks much easier.
Excellent and Affordable service
After a break of two years, I've recently returned to StarNow to list for our new production. And it is great to see all the improvements!
Finding, contacting, selecting candidates is now even easier - thanks to your improved applications and interface. There's great talent here too.

Star Now is a great platform if you would like to gain experience in the Film and Television industry. I have developed many friendships on Star Now with other actors and crew. I've also had opportunities to be in commercials with my own family which has been awesome. I have had wonderful opportunities to do jobs interstate as well. It all starts with a nice headshot and an introduction to camera video which lets prospective directors and agencies get a feel for your profile and what you can do.

Have had a few instances where I've had to deal with the support staff regarding my account. They've aways been prompt, had great communication and arrived at a really satisfactory result.

I needed to hire an actor for a music film clip. The process was easy and had a lot of interest. It was difficult to choose with the great talent but I found a suitable client. We have arranged to do the shoot in the first week of January 2022. I highly recommend this site to anyone looking for what they need, I will be using this again. Thank you
Money Hungry Scammers
I had canceled my subscription April this year yet still got charged 2 days ago, I contacted them an hour after money was taken from my account yet they refuse to refund me and have taken my money even tho I cancelled my subscription! The customer service was terrible they just kept repeating 'we cant refund you we can only refund within 30 days of your first subscription' or ' linking me to there terms and conditions. That would be fine but i canceled my subscription months ago yet still got charged!!! Honestly some of the worst customer support out there I do not recommend starnow for anyone to use given this terrible service and experience they refuse to give me money back for a subscription I cancelled do not use them if there going to treat there customers this way. This is honestly unbelievable and Ive never experienced this with any business.
