Told we needed €750 repairs when boiler was fine
Service engineer told us we needed repairs costing €750. He left and we had no hot water because he forgot to switch something back on the boiler. Another person arrived the next day and fixed it. We got a second opinion from a Bord Gais engineer who told us no repairs were necessary and the boiler was absolutely fine. Would never use Stillorgan Gas & Plumbing ever again.

I’ve used this company twice. Both times the company answered the call promptly and a plumber was arranged to come out within a few days as the issue wasn’t urgent. For the first job the plumber was able to fix the plug issue within the hour but for the second job the plumber had to come back as he didn’t have the part which is understandable. I think it would be beneficial if the second call out could have a small discount (especially if the initial visit is very short/ a few mins), otherwise I couldn’t fault the service and the people are always very nice to deal with. Payment is also straightforward and the receipt for works is much appreciated. Would recommend.

Absolute Rip Off . Their call out fee is €120 even if they don't provide any service.
Their call out fee is €120, which is not mentioned anywhere on their website. I booked a drain cleaning service over the phone and was told I had to pay €150 in advance over the phone, which I did. When they came, they identified the cause of the smell coming from the drain (a substantial amount of grey sludge), told me to pour bleach down the drain and left. When I complained that I had poaid for a service I did not receive, they offered to refund me €30, saying that the call out charge was €120. Absolute rip off. Avoid at all costs.

I got a new gas boiler from Stillorgan Gas. Having decided to go with them they were very prompt to come and install it and had it all finished in one day. They checked everything was working perfectly before they left and I am very pleased I chose Stillorgan Gas.

Excellent service at affordable prices
I had a boiler service and subsequently a new inlet valve fitted on my toilet and the service was excellent. Loads of flexibility when booking dates, and the guys were punctual each time. One of the best things was their communication. If delays happen (and this can happen with anything) then they always contact you on good time to let you know. Prices were very reasonable and the quality of work was perfect

Creepy
My first review on TrustPilot is a cautionary tale.
After a dubious quote from Stillorgan Gas, I left a one-star review on Google. It’s an honest review, with photographs to back it up.
They then phoned my tenant and harassed her because of my review!
Why did they phone her and not me?
Because she’s mother at home minding a newly born, I suppose. Whereas I’m in my 50ies living in Cork. Go figure!
Now they’re sending me makey-uppy cease and cecist (yep, that’s how they spelled it) emails.
I’d find this amusing if they had only contacted me. They’re behaving like a jilted lover that just won’t move on.
But to torment my tenant who has got a baby boy to attend to. That’s creepy.
Honestly, I can deal with a stalker.
But can you?
Or your wife?
Or your children?

Do not use Stillorgan gas
Do not use Stillorgan gas - your work will be done right but you ll pay well over the going rate.
Stillorgan Gas came to fix the immersion which cost €450 the service man told me he would have done it for €200!. He then told me I needed a new boiler and Stillorgan gas do them! I didn’t need a new boiler - I did need it serviced. I got the guy who had installed it to come and do the service. Just as well I stopped to think about how could I need a new boiler and a new immersion all at the same time! Saved myself €2620!

Such a disappointment to deal with in…
Such a disappointment to deal with in trying to get a minor leak sorted. Company operates a rigid fee structure, charging €60 to book a date, another €60 for the pleasure of getting an estimate which is provided day's later while you wait. Then they call and want another €360 on top of that to fix a small job which another plumber fixed in one hour for a total of €210!!! Incl the parts !!! I know which plumber I'll be using next time!!

Our power shower switch gave out. Had it repaired by a lovely electrician on same day of call out! Very quick, efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

Avoid Avoid they are the worst company i ever dealt with, they don't have any standard working procedures in place to carry out this work, they had ten people on site over four days installing a new Combi system which included an unsupervised apprentice which is a total no no even from apprentices perspective. The day they finished they left a mess in house when I complained to office they sent apprentice out to clean up with not even a sweeping brush . I only contacted this company as they were RGI approved and giving a seven year guarantee on work, which I now think is not going to be worth the paper it is written on. On moving into house on completion of job the noise coming from water pump is unbelievable. I am now three weeks trying to get them back to house to replace pump that is causing noise. I do not know how this company got approval from RGI authority to install a gas system.
