I have been using the first Pironman case, then Pironman 5 Pro and now Pironman 5 Pro Max. Delivery - super fast. The quality of the product is excellent so is the quality of the service/support, always answering emails, returning with constructive and useful solutions and always friendly. I wish all of the companies has such support level as Sunfounder. Also the documentation on the website is excellent, it gives detail instructions on assembly and installation. I strongly recommend their products.

Sunfounder’s response was great and we resolved my issue with the Pironman software. Their support is in a far off timezone, but they still did very well. Their Pironman 5 case has been great and works like a charm.

I had followed the very detailed and easy to follow instructions on how to set up the PiPower5. I couldn't get the link to set up the software tools to work. I received a very quick response apologising that the package had moved but the instructions had not been updated, which they would correct promptly. They also included the correct link which worked.
I am always impressed by the detail in their instructions and how easy they are to follow. An excellent comnpany with very good tech support.

This case is about Pironman service on port 34001. I did update apt and stop the pironman5.service before.
When I try to reinstall the "install.py". It fail.

Meanwhile, all the system hardware can run smothly including oled, fan etc.
But the service port is not working on port 34001. that is why i want to reinstall.

The current version of the Pironman 5 Max software is 1.3.6, and it’s possible that this update affected the service port.
Please try reinstalling the software with the following steps:
Uninstall the current version:
cd ~/pironman5
sudo python3 install.py --uninstall
cd ~/
sudo rm -rf pironman5
Reinstall the latest version:
cd ~
git clone -b max https
cd ~/pironman5
sudo python3 install.py
Please note:
After upgrading to version 1.3.6, the OLED screen wake?up method has changed. Instead of tapping the case,
you now need to short?press the power button to wake the screen.

Cool products, fun to use and above all reliable service, being it spare parts or software support.

Problem solved on Rascam. When downloading the dependency installer, the installation software was giving errors. I initially blamed the Raspberry IOS distribution (64-bit or 32-bit). I then contacted Sunfounder's customer service. I received the necessary information and now everything is working fine. I needed to use the latest Trixie distribution. Thank you to customer service.

Issue solved
I had an issue with the size of the Pironman5 box that I built with the included instructions from SunFounder. The size of one side of the box was too large so it would not close. I contacted the official support by mail and described the problem. Two days later I received a nice email giving all instructions to solve my issue.
I am very happy with the box now and will not hesitate to contact the company for any other issue. Thanks guys!

Really nice Raspberry Pi projects, helpful and understanding team! 5/5* I recommend!

I had a minor software issue with PiDog V2 and received competent and courteous assistance from Sun Founder Service until the issue was completely resolved.
Truly good and very kind. Congratulations.

I was impressed with the quality of the materials, packaging and instructions of the PiDog V2 kit, and enjoyed (even the sometimes tedious) building my dog. Instructions were pretty clear as long as you pay attention to the details, with the one exception for me was the positioning of the ribbon cable between the camera module and the raspberry (blue strip toward the black retainer). I apparently had a faulty camera module, and emailed Sunfounder customer service several times. Each time I had a response within 24 hours, and once we determined it was the camera they shipped me a new one with slightly different instructions on installation of the "modules". This fixed the problem, and I can now control my dog with the phone app. Pretty cool.

SunFunders are doing great products, and the supports.. I have no words, I've asked them a STEp 3d Model and they gave it to me, I've actually ordered a second Pironman 5 MAX for a custom build (just love the dual NVMe setup). Thank you so much SunFunders team, you rock !!!

The Galaxy RVR (Mars Rover) project is an incredible little learning experience. I'm an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry and this is the kind of fun little project I'd suggest for anyone wanting to learn robotics, programming, and/or electronics. I'm 58 and I enjoyed putting this project together but I'm sure anyone 12 or older would enjoy it.

The kit can be a simple remote control kit that's fun to drive, but if someone is interested and wants to take it further, they can build and program all kinds of things for this little Rover. They can add their own parts and programming. The online resources for understanding everything from the workings of a motor to the communication protocols are available when you need them. I also found that the typical AIs knew a lot about this little device and could be a great help!

Personally, I'm interfacing to an external computer interface to show my company's products at the Washington DC Satellite Show in March. This is just the little, customizable, kit I needed for this.

The customer service is quick, human, and caring. I needed the measurements for the hole pattern to bolt my parts onto the rover and they created a custom drawing and sent them in just a day or two. GREAT customer service!

I very much like the idea and the design of the Pironman 5. All parts are individually packed and are clearly named. Some spare parts are also delivered to all hassle free construction. In case of issues there is a support team able to step in and help, with additional information or replacement in case of failure. Can recommend and am keen to see more stuff coming from SunFounder.

I ordered two Pironman 5 max cases. I'm very pleased with the quality of the cases. When building one of the cases, I noticed that one of the rear RBG fan connectors was damaged. I contacted Sun Founder, and after sending them some foto's for verification, they immediately have send me a new fan.

All and all am I very satisfied with Sun Founder!

purchased a case for a raspberry pi from them on Amazon in February 2025, it had some minor issues that were caused by shipping, and they rectified those issues. I emailed them just a few days ago, almost an entire year later, about other issues I had, and they assisted me promptly, almost no questions asked. Amazing customer service. Amazing company. I love that They stand by their products.

These are incredibly easy to get running on a Raspberry Pi. Skip the Waveshare and other brands — this one is the top choice.

The case is superb-solid construction and attractive design. I appreciated the spare parts included in case anything gets lost. The HDMI adapter fixes the micro-HDMI compatibility issue. The NVMe support is fantastic-I installed
Raspberry Pi OS over Ethernet without an SD card. There's a small display that shows temperature, system load, and IP address. Even after overclocking my Pi it stayed cool. Be patient during assembly and position the thermal pad precisely for best heat transfer. This neat little build reminded me of my very first computer project years ago.

I’m really impressed with how this case makes the Pi 5 resemble a small desktop system. Assembly might be a little challenging for someone who has never put together a DIY kit before, but it doesn’t require any advanced knowledge. The manual was straightforward and easy to understand. I ran into a minor issue with their custom software, but their support team was outstanding — they responded almost immediately and helped me get everything working quickly. I’d highly suggest this case to anyone wanting to give their Raspberry Pi 5 an upgraded and polished feel.
