I have lost access to my account and i have been messaging them for 3 weeks now since i have all the proofs im the owner, credit cards cli access and the information only the owner could have.
Its been 3 weeks and they are only giving generic responses, first time i got a real reponse like 1 week ago he never responded again,
Not a serious company and they will cause you harm in the future, DO NOT RECOMMEND.

True Postgres under the hood. Escaped vendor lock-in.

I migrated my latest project's backend over to Supabase this past month, and it is a massive workflow upgrade if you want to avoid proprietary data lock-in. As a self-taught dev, I spent way too much time in tutorial hell trying to figure out complex cloud infrastructure, but this open-source alternative makes so much more sense. The absolute best part is that it's just Postgres under the hood you aren't forced to learn a platform-specific NoSQL query language. Managing tables, setting up authentication, and configuring RLS is incredibly intuitive right through their dashboard. The documentation is top-tier, I had my Next.js frontend connected and fetching data in under twenty minutes without hours of debugging. It has a generous free tier that doesn't feel predatory for developers trying to get a portfolio piece deployed. Highly recommend.

Supabase offers freedom

I am an intermediate software developer and a student learning at Uncommon.org and I have got to say out of all the platforms one can use for database and auth. Supabase comes with whole lotta freedom. This I say having used firebase and finding it well intergrated but has not the freedom supabase.

Apart from frequent outages these days

Apart from frequent outages these days, Supabase was a perfect backend for me. We maintain internal projects in this domain and their free tier is so generous that helps small teams work without a worry about getting billed high unnecessarily.

The best developer backend I’ve used

Supabase has been an excellent backend for our production app. The combination of Postgres, auth, storage, realtime and edge functions in one coherent platform is extremely powerful. What I appreciate most is that it still feels like “real infrastructure” instead of a black box, you can drop down to SQL whenever you want. The DX is great, the documentation is solid and the platform has been very reliable for us. It allowed our small team to move much faster without giving up control over the data layer.

Produit inutilisable en production

Le projet se met en pause automatiquement après quelques jours sans activité, sans aucun email d'avertissement. On découvre le problème quand ça ne fonctionne plus, sans comprendre pourquoi. Et la solution proposée c'est de passer à 25$/mois. Pour un usage occasionnel c'est juste impossible à justifier. Je passe sur autre chose.

I wouldn’t recommend Supabase and I honestly regret starting my project on that crappy platform. Since their outage a few weeks ago, absolutely nothing works for me. I can’t access my project, I can’t download the database to migrate elsewhere and their support is useless. I’ve sent a dozen emails and the only response I got was that I should upgrade to the Pro plan if I want faster help. If you don’t want to waste money, nerves, and time stay away from this platform!!

I had a subscription-related concern and contacted Supabase support shortly after. The team responded quickly, communicated clearly, and resolved everything smoothly. It’s refreshing to interact with a support team that’s both professional and genuinely helpful.

They have been charging my company for…

They have been charging my company for ghost compute we haven't been using. We where supposed to pay 25$ per month and we have been charge for more than 300$ ! The support doesn't answer and compute is still accumulate every day. We feel like Stuck with Supabase, I do not recommend

Free plan (almost) useless

Free plan (almost) useless - they keep pausing! I am so annoyed by this, I barely unpause and they message me again that they are about to pause my project. It is a small project, taking up like a few MB, yet they keep pausing and pausing, trying to push free users to their paid plan - what an unethical company! Because of this, I stopped using them altogether.

Not for serious production work

It's impossible to do productive work on supabase. I could not connect to Postgres through my IDE because of an infuriating limitation of their network setup. They require you to buy an add-on to be able to connect from ipv4.
The webapp kept logging me out every 30 minutes or so. I would spend minutes crafting a query only to lose it when I click to add a new tab because of a bug.
They have frequent downtime. Nowehere near Firebase in terms of quality and reliability

They’re causing us huge damage

They’re causing us huge damage — we’ve been stuck for days and no one is responding. If you’re a serious company, you definitely can’t work with them; they’re outrageous.

i went over their limits as a free user…

i went over their limits as a free user because i had some bugs that drained egress, guess what, they didn't make me buy a plan or shut the project down , they gave a grace period until chargeable period renews , and then if i run over again they will take action but for now just let me work on my project.
you cant ask better than this!
