We engaged Supplement Factory for product development and the experience fell well below professional standards.

Timelines were repeatedly missed, account management was inconsistent, and overall service levels were poor.

Most concerning was the inability to deliver against a clearly defined brief. Multiple iterations failed to achieve an acceptable taste profile, despite detailed feedback and flexibility from our side.

The matter was handled defensively rather than constructively, and we ultimately terminated the project, resulting in a loss of our development fee.

Based on our experience, I would advise other businesses to explore other providers.

I came to Supplement Factory with just an idea for a new type of protein shake — and they helped me turn it into reality! From the very first conversation, the team showed incredible professionalism and expertise, guiding me through every stage of development.

A special shout-out to Gabriel Isaic, the amazing Formulation Scientist who truly brought my concept to life. His attention to detail, creativity, and deep understanding of formulation made the final product taste absolutely fantastic!

Thanks also to Darren Smith for his initial guidance at the start of the project. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the journey or the result — Supplement Factory are true professionals at transforming ideas into market-ready products!

I approached Supplement Factory as a potential manufacturing partner, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing.

Based on their initial presentation and discussions, I was led to believe manufacturing would take place in the UK. At the end of the formulation process, I was told they could only offer manufacturing in China, which was a major disappointment and not what I expected as this was never mentioned as a possible outcome.

I was also led to believe my project could be delivered within the budget I had provided on our first call. Halfway through R&D, I was then told they might not be able to work to my budget after all. This should have been made clear on the very first call, if I had known, I could have gone elsewhere and saved significant time and money.

I made it clear from the beginning that I intended to sell my product globally. Despite this, I was provided with an ingredient that turned out to be heavily regulated in international markets and banned in some countries altogether. When I queried this, and offered some potential replacements, the formula was changed without my agreement, and I was then told they have “used the final revisions.” In fact, I had never requested the change; I only wanted to discuss options. I repeatedly asked whether the new ingredient would have the same final effect as the first, but this question/direct answer was avoided each time.

Over the course of working with them, I lost around 10 weeks and have had to start over with a new manufacturer and a new formulation which will cost me more money. Communication was continuously inconsistent: I was first assigned a BDM who then moved departments. I was reassigned to a second BDM, but when he failed to attend our first scheduled meeting I later discovered he had apparently left the company; something I was only told when I asked why he hadn’t shown up to our meeting. I also had a marketing meeting scheduled where no one turned up, and only afterwards I learned it had been dropped for an “emergency client meeting.” This left me feeling my project wasn’t important enough to even merit basic communication.

Overall, I feel extremely let down by the process, and I would not recommend them based on my experience.
