I highly recommend the NOCN Level 3 NVQ Diploma in External Wall Insulation Boarder and Finisher as a valuable qualification that effectively recognises and validates the skills of experienced EWI professionals. The course is well-aligned with PAS 2035 standards, offering strong assessor support throughout and a fair, well-managed assessment process. The knowledge documentation could benefit from a clearer, more user-friendly layout, which some aspects could be refined. Overall experience is highly positive and professionally rewarding and I would recommend it to anyone within the sector.

I highly recommend the NOCN EWPA Level 3 NVQ Diploma in External Wall Insulation Boarder and Finisher as a valuable qualification for experienced professionals working in the retrofit sector. Developed to address the longstanding gap in formal recognition for EWI installers, this course offers a robust and credible pathway to demonstrate competency aligned with PAS 2035 standards.
The qualification is well-structured, combining a comprehensive knowledge-based component with a practical, competency-based assessment. While the knowledge element can initially feel overwhelming, the support provided by the assessor was responsive and constructive throughout. The practical assessment was delivered and managed with clear guidance, appropriate resources, and a fair evaluation process using direct observation and digital evidence.
Although some administrative aspects could benefit from refinement—such as a clearer onboarding process, simpler documentation and more immediate feedback post-assessment—the overall experience was positive and professionally rewarding.
