ABUSE AND CORRUPTION

Where do I start? There is far too much to say so I will keep this extremely brief. After a 24 year battle with the mental health services and exploitation/discrimination in supported living when my Mother was dying 11 years I had serious mental health deterioration and in 2018 and 2019 I had two traumatic and abusive section 2 admissions so bad I am seeking legal action; overall each admission over four months. The first admission I was bullied and assaulted by patient/s and staff. I was illegally forcibly injected under the Nuremberg Treaty of human rights (which requires a wet ink signature) because I was angry and needed my phone to call the Police to retrieve possessions from a crooked Landlady from Council temporary Housing. The staff were refusing to give me my phone. My partner was banned from visiting me (my only next of kin.) I was homeless and and even when I went AWOL due to being not being supported and bullied, I went out of town and slept in a field near my Mother's ashes suicidal and I was recognized since my face had been in the paper as missing and local radio unbeknown to me. The Police dragged me back in handcuffs (one of many Police brutality incidents.)

I was released homeless funding hotels with back PIP and I stabbed myself right through the arm with a sharp knife in December that year, a man from the Foodbank whose wife was dying of Cancer whom he was caring for took possessions of mine. I had a lot of Police brutality and unlawful detaining and when I got back into temporary accommodation, I lost my property when Paramedics took me to the Crisis Team who wouldn't tell me about my valuables and I returned to temporary accommodation to find locks changed and Birthday flowers and cards disposed of!

A month later in April 2019 I was arrested for the umpteenth time out of my partner's flat, suicidal and homeless then dragged out of St. Mary's House in handcuffs and sectioned. They wanted to suggest I needed injections and suffered from Psychosis for putting up a protest at this brutality. I was alone with two corporate thugs (Police Officers) who assaulted me throwing me on my back and being extremely aggressive in the little family room at the D.G.H because I wanted to go and get some fresh air. I had bullying and neglect on the Ward again. I was assaulted by staff, much to the disgust of other patients when just closing the door in someone's face should be taken seriously. I met a well know whistle blower (Ex-RAF fraud Investigator who was Bodiam Ward.) He was exposing corruption and I told him how I had contacted a BBC Panorama Producer making a documentary about my sort of experiences but I was told I was threatening staff even though they were actually abusing me again. In the Ward Review (which I recorded!) The Psychiatrist said they would be happy to help me but when I explained how Adult Social Care and the Housing Officer did not turn up for their appointments, the Ward Manageress threatened me with Police for no reason and I was later arrested, despite the CQC Inspector Natalie Edwards not having contacted me earlier that afternoon. My partner who was banned indefinitely also used his Dictaphone to record a patient threatening me (punching me and stamping on my foot) and the Psychologist and Manageress had walked in and instead of dealing with her, I WAS removed from the bay (again, in the same way I was the year previously. The victim is removed and singled out.)

My partner and I were also assaulted and injured by a deranged security Guard we want to press charges over. I am going to be interviewed by the Fraud Investigator's Power Of Attorney over my experiences. This was a DGH Hospital my Mother wad dying in and it would kill her if she knew of my abuse. Do not bother with PALS OR the Gatekeepers, the CQC. Indeed, lying and corruption all around and I went from Psychosis to all labels being removed and labelled as "no mental illness or treatable condition" which are pure lies and I have, as a trained Foodbank Advocate told me, developed acute anxiety and OCD as a result of the added trauma. I did Care work with the elderly and have had bullying as a carer, I have also had attempted rape and domestic violence but this is the WORST TRAUMA thanks to Sussex Partnership and Sussex Police as well as the Local Council.

Appalling failure to failed sick…

Appalling failure to failed sick vulnerable NHS patient lies avoidance and cover up. Appalling failure to failed sick vulnerable NHS patient lies avoidance and cover up. The original negligence was regarding incorrect medications that destroyed 90% of bowel now given wrong meds that have stopped remaining bowel and just last month be given wrong meds again. Family banned with Trust lying, complaints met with lies and bullying. Appalling and sick behaviour by NHS Trust already castrated by judge in inquest last November

Useless

Useless
I was referred by my doctor to see a consultant psychiatrist, due to feeling a reliance starting with Diazepam. This was caused by my mother's health deteriating, due to dementia.
They intercepted this referral. I had a mental health assessment. That involved speaking to the side of this woman's head as she typed. !!
I have since seen my notes and she just missed so much that was so important. The outcome was to send me to STAR drugs place They turned me away as I wasn't taking enough.
My recorded letter to them explaining this went mysteriously missing. You don't go to hospital with a broken leg and have your crutch taken away. Surely you fix the leg first.
3 years on and I'm still hooked on Diazepam and have to buy them online.
Forget about going to PALS to complain as they just close ranks and you get nowhere, despite numerous faxes, letter and records going missing.
Not fit for purpose.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES - AVOID

I have been referred to them for different matters. Zero stars if I could. In summary:
(1) Management and administration relate to referred customers in a demeaning light. This is reflected in very poor turnarounds and poor responsiveness (or rather the lack of it) together with lack of goodwill in many circumstances. By way of example, my referral got stuck on their system the other day and although it was signposted nobody would bother dealing with it (nice!).
(2) Front of line staff, such as secretarial liaison, can be quite rude and aggressive. I could hardly get a word edgeways the other day, only to be faced by threats she would put the phone down on me (nice!).

Unfit for Purpose

Too much to write here, but it involves diagnostic failings, support failings, serious lying, unprofessional behaviour, malicious staff, arrogance, deliberate misdiagnosis and more. All of which affected 3/4 of a family, by two separate but equally appalling sections of this Trust. You only have to Google to see what a shocking amount of failings there are by this Trust.

corporate health management at its worst

My review of Sussex Partnership NHS Trust having experienced it both as a patient and staff member.

Fears of the privatisation of the NHS seems to be pointless because the way in which this Trust is run already exemplifies what we all hate about corporations hallmarked by the kinds of exclusivity, favouritism, and elitism that characterise profit-driven enterprises. Over-managed and populated by hierarchical cliques of fevered egos at management level all bucking for the limelight, Sussex Partnership is simply awful to deal with, both from a coal-face worker and patient perspective, having worsened since they amalgamated the smaller district Trusts into one mega-trust.

Like any badly managed entity, it's jobs for the boys. And the attitudes and personalities of the narcissistic executive would better serve a petroleum company, not a healthcare organisation. This attitude tends to impact upon the shop floor level, so that you end up with often snooty attitudes, back-biting, mistrust and an insecure and competitive working environment for staff.

This Trust, like much of the NHS, needs to return to down-to-earth, patient-centred health care, with less of the ambitious yuppie class, nepotism and ambition politics to spoil it.
