Absolutely excellent
Great selection, and everything has been excellent.
Sausages are a world away from supermarkets and the average British high street butcher.
Cotechino is perfect.
Smoked ox tongue is soooo good.
Speedy, accurate, well packed delivery.

Products arrived on time

Chicken looks deformed
Taste ok
The box wasn't damaged

Wasn't available
A note to customer's who may consider buying from swaledale
Butchers
They accepted my order but when I complained about how they packaged the produce
Dpd took the hit from them even though the box wasn't damaged and also made a comment about the fact we live 53 miles away
Kinda makes sense to Shop local 🤔

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear your order arrived on time and that you enjoyed the taste of the chicken.
To clarify, all our meat is vacuum-packed to ensure maximum freshness during transit. This process can sometimes result in a misshapen appearance, but this is completely normal and resolved once the product is unpacked.
Additionally, your order travelled over 53 miles through the DPD network. Some movement of the contents within the box during transit is entirely expected and reasonable. Our packaging is carefully designed and tested to keep your order secure and in optimal condition throughout its journey.
We appreciate your understanding and hope you continue to enjoy our products.

Beautiful meat, safe & reliable delivery
My first order has just arrived as expected, on time and without a hitch. The meat all looks amazing, and is beautifully presented - all labelled clearly, and ready for the freezer without me having to repackage. The ice packs were still well frozen, so the packaging had clearly done its job. So, whilst I'm always a bit wary of ordering meat online, I have to say that I'm well impressed. Ten out of ten from me...😊

bad experience
Couldn't find my order and didn't bother helping.
Got it delivered without any notification, the delivery driver left it outside in the hot sun.
All the food had to be cooked then and there or thrown away due to the poor delivery and service from this butchers.
Absolute horrible experience.
Staff are useless and very unhelpful.
Your poor service is continuing by breaking my freedom of speech. Shockingly bad

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We're truly sorry to hear that this experience didn't meet your expectations, especially as a returning customer who is already familiar with our processes.
After looking into your order, we noticed that the email address provided was misspelt, which is why you did not receive the order confirmation, shipping updates, or delivery notifications from DPD. This simple mistake can lead to unfortunate consequences, as it did in this case. We understand how frustrating this situation must have been, but it could have been easily rectified had we been informed when you didn’t receive your confirmation email.
Given your experience with our service from previous orders, we’re surprised that this wasn’t flagged earlier, as it’s common practice to get in touch if an email confirmation doesn’t arrive. We encourage all customers to contact us directly in such situations, allowing us to promptly correct the error.
We always strive to provide excellent customer care, and while we understand this situation caused frustration, we feel it's important to avoid directing anger toward our team, who consistently work hard to assist with professionalism and dedication.
We appreciate your feedback and are committed to continuing to improve our service where necessary.
