Swicc is not an energy price comparison service, like everyone else my 'recommendation' was Scottish Power but the call back was definitely not from them. It felt like a spam call so I hung up and felt foolish for completing a form which looked suspect in the first place. Trust your instincts people!
I mistakenly entered my details into their quick 30 second form - it is quick for a reason. Didn't think twice and gave them my name, address, phone number and email. How careless.
I've since read the reviews on trust pilot and emailed ALL the email addresses in their contact us section - compliance, info, help, complaints and support. ALL of them return undelivered/unable to receive emails and are clearly not real. Only marketing has not returned an undeliverable email yet. Let's see.
Even more ridiculous, is the fact that the help form on the website appears to just be a test form. What the hell?!
SO they've just collected extremely personal data and there is no way to contact them to delete this. Horrible and sneaky way to operate.

Thought I'd check out the possibility of a cheaper dual fuel energy provider. Form simple BUT I was not expecting only one provider - Scottish Power. Naively I thought the outcome would be more like car insurance enquiries from e.g. compare the market. But no and even worse Scottish Power are apparently going to ring me shortly. Thought I'd forstall this so found the SWICC site and complaints email address from that site. Emailed.
Surprise, surprise the email address wasn't recognised. This strikes me as very dodgy and therefore SWICC is not to be trusted.
Edit: forgot to add that there's no phone number. Well I couldn't find one.
Form was easy to fill out, took all of 30 seconds. They actually call you with your quote which at first seemed a bit dated, but the agent was super friendly and helpful. They found me a cheaper deal and I switched to Scottish Power, would recommend.

Recently moved home and needed to look at energy providers available. Filled out the form and spoke to someone in minutes about a new deal. Within 48 hours I had a new (more importantly cheaper) energy supplier.

Sorry to hear the service wasn't as expected. You may need to ask your existing supplier the reason why the switch didn't take place or if it was blocked for some reason.
