Great design! Terrible quality control + transport

Like previous 3 items I bought from swoon, this too was delivered with problems. This time it was a chest of drawers but in only one drawer came! No legs, no frame! Just one drawer. Why do I go back to them? For the design, of course. At which price? Endless back and forth with the (excellent, nevertheless) customer service. Quality control and transport are just awful.

Excellent products and service

I ordered a dining table and chairs and have been delighted with the process from start to finish. The table was from Swoons refurbished range (a great idea to avoid waste) and the chairs were regular stock.

Delivery was very quick for both and I was kept updated by customer service.

When the items arrived, everything was well packaged and there was minimal building required. The items themselves are excellent quality and design and I’m really happy with my purchases.

If you like to waste your time hoarding broken furniture and filling out questionnaires, then order from Swoon!

We have ordered from swoon a total of 3 times and only once did we receive a product in semi reasonable condition. Our second order was of an ottoman, which arrived cracked at the hinges. Obviously this would deteriorate further each time we opened it. Swoon customer service were extremely unhelpful and it took us hours and hours of bureaucracy to finally get a replacement sent to us. When the replacement finally arrived (after waiting several months)- Lo and behold, it was also cracked! Acting as fools, we ordered again from Swoon, but rest assured, this will be the final time! Our order of a side cabinet, which we waited months for, arrived with a missing leg! Now we have a disabled side cabinet which will likely have to wait a further few months to get its missing leg. We contact customer service and their response is to fill out a questionnaire and put in information that they already have. We are extremely unhappy with Swoon and will never be ordering from them again!

The worst service I have experienced

The worst service I have experienced. Do not order from this company, completely unable to hold anyone to account when things go wrong. Every person you speak to is more ineffectual than the last and nothing happens unless you chase it up. Worst online ordering experience I have had.
Would not consider ordering from them again.

I was a little concerned about spending…

I was a little concerned about spending money on a sofa I'd never been able to sit on, but was assured by the long money back guarantee offered so ordered 2 sofas from Swoon. The first arrived on time, and the delivery company excellent. The second was a couple of weeks late, but I was kept fully informed and offered a discount on the second because of the delay. Both sifas look fabulous and are comfy to sit on. I can't comment on hardwearingness (!) or longevity but I'm very pleased on my purchases. Good value too compared to some other brands. Thank you.

Furniture started to fall apart within…

Furniture started to fall apart within the 100 day return window.
Contacted support to return.
Contact was with several support agents via email. Got different answers about whether or not to disassemble and repackage items for return. Put trust in agents that said no packaging was required. Collecting party refused collection.
Got back in touch with Swoon to get to bottom of it. Rearranged collection, still being advised no assembly required , no packaging etc… Agents claimed the collection was booked as a “no packaging” collection.
Obviously didn’t want to risk collection falling through so packaged the items up. Collection was successful but the collecting party confirmed Swoon were talking rubbish/lying. No such thing as a packaging free collection according to them.
Swoon offered a discount on a future purchase. Not likely yo go with a company that misleads/lies.

Also - pretty bad if you are considering Swoon since they deliver and build the items for you. If you need to return items when they fall apart, you will need to dismantle furniture yourself. The wardrobe I had to guess how to dismantle (told them there were no instructions and wasn’t offered any) was so heavy. Would avoid if you have accessibility issues that would prevent you taking the items apart.

tldr; returns are difficult. agents are either uninformed or lie. service with accessibility issues

I had a few issues that I wasn't happy…

I had a few issues that I wasn't happy with. Each customer service agent, listened, and attended to this and the concerns I had have now all been resolved. For this im satisfied that things were resolved and a great company, i would reccomend Swoon to friends and family and would shop again with Swoon, as my concerns have been, listen too with support and excellent customer service, who also, take the time and care to help and support you with any concerns. I'm satisfied all round, once again thanks.

Excellent product and customer service

Excellent product and customer service. This review would have been 5* had my lovely chair not had a small fault, which may have happened in transit. Very happy with the speed and approach to resolution. Look at my chair appreciatively every day.

Swoon products are lovely

Brilliant

Communication was very good. Received goods sooner than scheduled. There were plenty of updates along the way. So overall I received a brilliant service.
I am really pleased with my new Lapis nesting side tables.

The dressing table is beautiful and lovely quality. We couldn't work out how to remove drawer to reach holes to attach legs but the customer service were helpful. Initially they said they might send someone to repair it but then they got the solution which was to turn a piece of wood inside the drawer which made it easy. So it would be helpful if the assembly instructions had shown this clearly. But overall delighted with the purchase.

Wrote a scathing review about delivery…

Wrote a scathing review about delivery delay of our sofa a few weeks ago. Swoon responded by giving us a goodwill discount for the inconvenience.
The sofas has just been delivered and it was well worth the wait it looks fantastic and the delivery men were good as well.

Ordered two sofa's 12 weeks ago, one was delivered without the other, a corner sofa. That was promised for the end of April, never arrived. Then the company said it was due into their warehouse this week. Monday morning comes and apparently the supplier has gone bust and they can no longer produce the sofa that apparently had been shipped and was due into their warehouse this morning. A sofa that had already been shipped. Strung along!
