I have been a subscriber for a long time now. I was extremely satisfied at first, however the past 3 orders not so much. The biscuits are always smashed to smitherines making them suitable for nothing except cheesecake bases. My daughter has received the same book twice in consecutive months. The month after they completely forgot to send the order, they got back to me after two chase emails and we finally received it almost a month after the payment was taken, as an apology they sent a free tote. This month they sent only one of my childrens books, we didnt know until they excitedly opened the box and paper and there was only one parcel contents inside, not a nice situation with children of any age, much harder when they are 4 and 5 and love their books. When I chased up the missing item, I did get a reply, but no apology, just a message stating the missing item had been sent out. I will be cancelling and instead taking my children to the bookshop to pick their own. It is such a shame as my children and I loved the surprise. Maybe they now have too much business to cope. I used to promote them at the school as I am on the PTA, I have since diverted people away with the reasons why. I will not get behind a company I do not believe in myself.

It passed 3 days and I email them because I didn’t receive the monthly books. I got quick response with apologies but I was send books white and black which are suitable for babies not for 2 and half years old kids. The next month I was send a book which is more suitable for one year old kids with Italian and English language. We don’t speak and not understand Italian language and we find it a bit waste of money this subscription. To be honest I was expected a bit better books .

The books she thoroughly enjoys, I’m not convinced she always gets the cookies and hot chocolate though, I think her children may beat her to them.
She absolutely adores books and this makes her happy. Supporting small businesses is important to both of us. Great company and highly recommended.

I am very satisfied with the book, biscuits and coffee. I was particularly pleased with the coffee because last time you sent instant coffee which I really don’t like. I do have a problem with the Yodel delivery. Yet again I had no warning of the delivery, but I was in when it must have been made. There was no knock on the door, and I found the box on my doorstep the next morning somewhat damp, but fortunately the goods weren’t damaged.

I gifted a 3 month subscription to a good friend for her birthday. Delivery has always been on time. Parcels have been left safely at her home. The book choices have pleased her and the tea and biscuits just made the parcel that little bit more special. This is my second purchase and would definitely use again.

What a lovely club, I cant wait for each book to arrive as I know I wont have read them and of course the hot chocolate and biscuits. Another lovely touch is the book mark and postcard

This was a gift for my wife, who runs a blog called "Always with a Book." She reads +/- 300 books a year and receives ~ 300-400 a year from publishers as an influencer. We've received 4 months of books on the annual subscription from TTBS, and none are duplicates to what she has gotten, she's reading them all (or planning to - they are in queue) and happy with it all. Very well curated and thought out. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++ highly recommended.

I love the idea of the company and applaud their success, but I'm currently in month 5 of a 'Historical fiction' subscription with them and it would be better if the named it "historical fantasy." I was expecting books similar to Ken Follett or Robert Seethaler, but am getting stuff closer to A Song of Ice and Fire, or Tolkein. The wine has always been nice though.
Final thought is that they've just sent the same novel for a second time, so five months, five bottles of wine, but four novels.
If someone could get in touch on how I can request for a change of subscription that would be great, but I can't figure out how to do it on their site. Cheers.

I love the idea of sending interesting old books to a friend but unfortunately, having received 3 of 12 books she has complained that 2 of the books have been very dirty - one had a viscous substance on the cover and another a patina of dirt ingrained into the cover. Nobody minds the antiquated charm of an old book - yellowed pages and the odd rip but why are you sending out books unchecked and dirty? She was thrilled by the first book and now wary of opening the others
