Techless--You Deserve More Than 5 Stars!
I first began my journey with Techless with the purchase of the Wise Phone I a few years back. I can tell you the Wise Phone II is 1,000s better than the first, and 10,000 better than others I've tried! Techless--great job! I hope you go far! I'm thankful for the peace I've got. I can still take care of needful business and pay all my bills, yet without being ensnared by my phone!

The tech was mid, not browser or explicit content free!
The tech worked fine for the most part, mild glitches nothing too crazy. Except my network would randomly disconnect like everyday and I wouldn't be aware of it cause it would give no notification or sign that it was disconnected, restarting the phone was the only way to fix it and a ton of missed calls and texts would then come through from the hours it was disconnected. Most importantly though, this device is not browser and therefore porn free. There are easy ways to access a browser on this device and even many months after reaching out to costumer service and being assured that the issues were passed to the development team the simple loopholes have not been closed. If they can't close them they should remove the apps that provide them (there are a couple), otherwise they are failing to live up to their mission, which is very sad. They were so close but didn't quite make it, not a safe device for your kids or teens or for you if you struggle with that stuff. It is difficult to just toggle the tool drawer off especially if you need Whatsapp or banking etc. I would recommend to Techless that if they know of the loopholes (which obviously they do) then they should simply stop offering the apps that provide them, and therefore don't fit into their vision until they can fix the problem; it's a simple solution. If there is a problem you can't fix right now, remove the problem till you fix it, because obviously it is taking a while.

I really like the new wise phone
I really like the new wise phone. Even though I didn't want to buy a replacement for my original wisephone, the new one is a GREAT upgrade!

Unhappy and Can't Recommend
The OS is a mess. I am a month in and despise the phone and the Wisephone portal. It's user unfriendly and feels like a scam. While the Techless staff are totally kind and friendly, the same can't be said for the software. This feels like a ripoff considering this phone retails for USD70, and would allow my son to use Google Pay at school without having to get verified 9 times. I'd return immediately if I could. Save your money and buy a better phone based on Android, add a parental app, and rip the Google apps and bloatware off it. You'll be much happier.

Overpriced Android phone that does not solve the problem of inappropriate material access for a teenager
It's deceptive because they try to get you to pay them $15 month subscription for the wise OS, but all that's doing is gatekeeping apps that are free on the marketplace. So you have to pay $15 a month just to have a Google calendar and basic apps that they don't spend any money on themselves but then they turn around and try to charge you for. Also, it's still android-based, so while the phone doesn't have a browser, there's plenty of ways for a creative kid to get to a web view by going through support and documentation links built into apps on the phone. Additionally, Google Play store is still accessible which means my teenage boys still found pornographic material

Basically non-existent customer service. No live person to speak with, communicated only by email which was not helpful at all. Very, very limited apps that can be utilized on the phone, including banking apps.

The only technical thing I noticed that…
The only technical thing I noticed that I can’t get past is that the three lines on the bottom left that allows one to see all their open pages won’t work. So I have to close whatever I am using to use something else on the home screen. I’d like to have my calculator stay open or photos…anything really that I open so I can just jump back and forth as I need them. Spotify will play continuously but the page won’t stay open in the background. So I hope they have an update that fixes that. Otherwise, it totally meets my needs. I am so much more productive. I have a lot more discipline than I realized. I paid off my iPhone in full before switching over, I still need my iPhone occasionally because I can’t check the Vivint security cameras with wisephone. So IF I need to check them I need to use my old phone with WiFi. It’s tempting to want to stay on it and use other apps but i allow myself time in it after 4 pm and on weekends. The rest of the time I am totally focused!!! It’s been a wonderful transition. I really love wisephone. It’s absolutely wonderful for my life. I am curious how it would do overseas. Oh, video quality in text is bad, but texting pictures is good.

The support team is always professional and willing to help . I'm not a techy person and am easily
frustrated by all this technology which is why I chose Techless.
I have to admit the on boarding was a bit difficult for me. The support team was there to see me through.
I am a bit disappointed that it is still a smart phone. I do like this phone more that my previous phone as it is easier to navigate with the alphabetical list. Still, It is not for everyone. I had originally attended for this phone to belong to my daughter. It just was not going to work for her. She needed access to email and a QR scanner. I am beginning to enjoy this phone though I am not sure that I would have made the purchase knowing what I know now.

Trying to get to the bottom of issues with the phone purchased for my son’s use. I have talked with people, emailed tech support, sent. There hasn’t been satisfactory help. I gave all information needed that i was asked to send to the support team.
Still no resolve.
It’s been several weeks if not a couple months. It’s been “crickets”.
I regret buying this phone. In fact I would like to get a refund of at least 75%.

I have several phones now that I can’t…
I have several phones now that I can’t use because this company has decided to discontinue the first Techless phone. They are now offering a discount for the second one (which I also have) but it doesn’t nearly make up for the fact that I have 3 UNUSABLE phones. I paid 1200 dollars for them! Unbelievable.

The worlds dum phone for the smartest of people
The phone is great. Not having social media and browsing apps makes a difference. Everyone in the world has that stuff, so knowing that you don't gives you a sense that you're different from everyone else. The one thing I don't like is the service. I fight fires, do some lumbering, and so I am in the wilderness for the most part, and the connection is terrible. Even with high-speed internet at home, it is still slow. Other than that, I think everyone should have one; it would change their lives.

Great Phone with a great purpose
I've been using my wisephone II for about a month now and feel like I have really gotten my life back. My screen time went from over 3 hours per day to less than 25 minutes; mainly sending work texts. I feel like I am finally free of the addiction of always having to check my phone and I have the space to breathe again. Highly recommend

The first week and a half we had our phone it only worked 2 days. Customer service was very slow to return help with a "real" person. I had to repeat the same problems info over and over and over for days til it finally got fixed.Recently the phone has been working well.

Customer service was worse than the product…which isn’t great
The website does not give a clear picture of what the Wisephone can and cannot do prior to purchasing and then the customer service agent was extremely rude in his email to me regarding my desire to return the phone. I’m trying to sell it on eBay now because their return policy is strict. Read and ask questions before buying.

The idea is great
The idea is great, the execution is lacking. The tool to add apps is down and no idea when it will return. When it was up an running it took weeks to get an app approved, but less than 50% of mine were ever approved. I only requested things required for my kids soccer and school.
So much education is dependent on technology and the main education apps are not supported. If your school uses powerschool or minga (used of student id and hall passes...) or if your kids do sports and use Byga or PlayMetrics, you are out of luck.
Too many missing non-distraction apps. Need to switch back to regular service with serious parental controls and now the long process of finding a human to give me the transfer pin begins. I will update my experience of how long it takes to finally transfer my phone numbers to new carrier once the process is complete.
a company this size with the goals they have should focus on customer service/support and building the user interface to meet the needs of the customers while still focusing on eliminating time wasting apps.
I received the tranfer pin within 15 hours of requesting and was successful in switching to a new carrier. The process should be simpler, but there was no major delay of days.

Not Quite There
Love the concept, but holding my breath to see if the execution can improve so I can hold onto the phone and service... I went with techless over others because of the access to useful apps that aren't contrary to the whole point of a "dumb phone". The reality as of today is that many popular apps and also less common apps aren't approved that I didn't even think about beforehand. Techless allows you to submit a request to have an app approve, but it's shut down for now and they don't have a timeline for that process to be back online. That's concerning and hard and puts a long term commitment at risk as I have to carry my old phone around at times which threatens the whole point... Also I'll admit to missing my Pixel 9 versus the Samsung A15. Pixel interface is so much nicer for something as simple as sending texts, but I remind myself I am intentionally making things inconvenient, but there is definitely a lag and glitches with the interface with simple things. I hope things improve soon! P.S. No Android Auto ;(
