Tenso stay away!!!

Tenso is not customer friendly. They do everything they can to make the process difficult. Shipping charges are insanely high. I don’t mind paying but, at least make it an easy transaction. I would not use Tenso again and you should think twice before using them!

Shota Naoi is the President and CEO of Buyee and Tenso he should be ashamed of the poor performance of his company Buyee Tenso. Buyee is currently withholding £1318.90 plus exorbitant postage for a jacket I bought via Buyee on 18th November 2024 which has not been sent to me in UK. This is terrible for the reputation of Japanese businesses and truly shameful. Buyee Tenso have taken my money under the pretence of providing a service. Avoid this terrible company.

Can't believe a company like this is…

Can't believe a company like this is still alive.

I have been using this company since 2019 and the shipping cost has raised significantly after covid. Unlike Tenso.com, they do not offer shippings like DHL and only offers EMS, which is one of the worst global shipping company.

I had a box of toy which is less than 3lbs (1.3kg), they charged 7000yen on me! Tensojapan, if you are seeing this, at least match your shipping price with Tenso. Otherwise you won't survive until the end.

It is one of the worst places to shop…

It is one of the worst places to shop and ship from Japan. They are very slow, and shipping charges are costly compared to Amazon Global. I have shopped and shipped from the US and EU and have never seen a procedure like the Tenso following for some car accessories shipping from Japan. The delay and procedure, I regret doing business with them

Horrible service - avoid

I used their "proxy" purchase service.

Firstly, they were very slow in purchasing item on behalf of me.

Then, they purchased an item at a higher price from a seller, which was different from the one specified, claiming that the item was out of stock.

What they were supposed to do was not to proceed with the purchase if the product was out of stock as I did not authorise them to do shopping as they liked.

When I made a complaint, Tenso Japan completely cut off the communication.

I am appalled by the low level of their service. Definitely do not recommend using them.

Hidden fees, overpriced shipping

I have been using this service for a few years now and it used to be the best option with straightforward fees but now they charge a fee on top of everything and like another person mentioned - charge you EMS but use DHL. That is fraud, especially if as the consumer you are literally paying and choosing to use EMS. Now after everything is done they charge you a handling fee, combining fee, and they changed their coronavirus fee to an inflation fee. Seriously??? An inflation fee?? Really sketchy. I have using them less over time and after my last packages this year I will use another provider at least they are honest about their fees.

My personal experience using tensojapan

Been using their service for a while and i honestly think their service is great for a low price, you can even ask for package reinforcement at no additional charge!

Out of around 4 separate shipments (multiple items per shipment) using their service - i only have 1 damaged item during shipping (dented packaging on a large item), and this is only because i was trying to save on shipping fee by not asking for package reinforcement,

Incredibly happy with their service and pricing so far, would be ideal if they include mercari japan into their service !!

I thought I had problems with…

I thought I had problems with Forward2japan and I thought that Tenso Japan will be better but... their shipping service is more expensive. I had a package from Forward2japan that was over 3lbs be 30 dollars for ems and then Tensojapan had it be 5700 yen for a 3 lb. Package. I think I'm considering on returning my packages and then avoiding drop shippers. I say just stick to japanese ebay stores at least they offer free shipping on a single card while Tensojapan offered 2400 yen for shipping for one card.

Worse shipping service I ever used.

Worse shipping service I ever used.

I bought stuff on Amazon for €130 but the delivery fee takes €86. Expensive than Amazon Global shipping.

The most important thing is they didn't fill in my zip code. The process takes 14 days and the package is missing now.

They claim it's not their responsibility once it shipped out of Japan.
