We had a level 3 survey conducted on a Victorian stone cottage. The survey was thorough and very well written. Richard was highly professional, friendly and quick to reply to any questions. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We recently had Richard Gilmore conduct a structural survey on a Grade II listed house we’re purchasing, and we couldn’t be more impressed. I highly recommend Richard at Terrace Surveyors. He is the ultimate professional and provided a superb service, above and beyond. We had a number of issues with various properties, which meant we kept changing the requirements. Nonetheless, Richard remained professional and courteous throughout. We also had a dilemma with spray foam insulation and he signposted us to a specialist when we didn’t know where to turn. He provided excellent value for money and possess great integrity.

Expensive but worth it.
We asked for a level 3 survey on a house we knew there would be problems with. It was out of area but we had been recommended terrace surveyors by a friend. We were charged for coming out of area but were glad to have gone with a trusted party. Richard was available within a week of us asking for the survey. He then called us on his day off to make recommendations because he was worried he wouldn't have the opportunity to write up the report for another two days.

Very thorough and professional survey. Richard was prompt with availability, response to queries and really easy to deal with. I have had two Level 3 surveys done via Terrace Surveyors both of which were highly detailed, thorough assessments of the buildings, both of which were over 100 years old. Richard's knowledge of historic building conservation shines through particularly for damp and moisture management with older construction styles. Follow up care to discuss a few points from the survey and recommendations for quotes to remedy the issues identified in the survey was also excellent. In summary I was so pleased with the first survey I went on to use Terrace Surveyors again and recommended them to friends who were equally pleased. In the sometimes bewildering world of house buying Richard has been a gem of a find!

Richard at Terrace Surveyors has asked me to carry out a number of projects, from full re-roofs to roof maintenance issues. Richard has always been very helpful and understanding and always pays on time. He doesn't over complicate things and he says things as they are, not time wasting, not beating around the bush.

Richard was a great support to us during a substantial maintenance programme at our warehouse units to extend their life. He oversaw the project throughout and his liaison with the main contractor was invaluable. Would highly recommend.
