Subscription trap – I confirm all negative reviews!

I fully confirm all the negative reviews written here. This service is a total subscription trap. I paid 3.50 PLN for a 24-hour trial, and right after the 24 hours ended, they charged 165 PLN for a monthly Gold subscription without my clear consent.

The recurring charge conditions were hidden in tiny print at the bottom of the page. Furthermore, there is no option to remove your credit card or cancel the subscription directly from the user dashboard. Support refuses to refund the money, hiding behind generic policy responses. Avoid this website at all costs!

I initially paid for the trial version to test the features, but the "AI Killer" function did not work at all. When I checked the results on other GPT detection websites, it showed 100% AI generation. Concluding that your service is completely useless, I used it exactly once and have never used it since. However, I was charged for a different subscription plan 24 hours later????

This charge was processed without my awareness that an automatic billing would occur after 24 hours. I canceled my subscription immediately. Apart from that single request during the cheap trial, I have not used your service at all. Please refund this amount immediately.

Fraudulent business par exellence. I was being charged although I cancelled my subscription. This is pure scam.

On August 12, 2026, I signed up for a one-day trial of TextGuard AI's service, advertised at a cost of $0.79. I did not sign up for or knowingly agree to an ongoing monthly subscription — I intended to use the one-day trial only.

Despite this, I was charged $46.90 for a full month's subscription that I never requested.

On August 13, 2026, I contacted the company's support team by email, explained that the trial was not useful to me, that I had no intention of continuing the service, and requested a refund of the $46.90 charge.

The company denied the refund, stating that the subscription "continued to be active after the initial 24-hour period" and that it "automatically renewed" unless cancelled before the renewal date. I was never clearly informed at signup that a $0.79 one-day trial would silently convert into a $46.90 recurring monthly charge unless I proactively cancelled within 24 hours.

I followed up again on August 13, explaining the poor business practice and requesting a refund a second time. On August 14, 2026, the company again denied the refund, this time stating that "responsibility for cancelling or unsubscribing from the service rests exclusively with the user" and that "ignorance of accepted terms does not exempt you from the established conditions." They also claimed to have no record of a cancellation request during the trial period, despite my having contacted them the day after signing up.

I have a full email chain documenting this exchange, including timestamps.

Additional context: This does not appear to be an isolated incident — the company's public reviews (Trustpilot, App Store) show a recurring pattern of customers reporting unauthorized or unclear subscription charges, difficulty cancelling, and refund refusals citing "terms accepted at signup," suggesting this may be a systemic billing practice rather than a one-time error.

Pessima esperienza. Ho acquistato una prova di un giorno al costo di 0,70 €, senza che fosse indicato in modo chiaro che avrei sottoscritto un abbonamento. Il giorno successivo mi sono ritrovata un addebito di 39,90 € del tutto inaspettato.

Ho contattato immediatamente l’assistenza, spiegando di non aver consapevolmente sottoscritto alcun abbonamento, di non avere intenzione di usufruire del servizio e chiedendo quindi l’annullamento e il rimborso immediato dell’importo. Nonostante ciò, mi è stato risposto che non avrebbero effettuato alcun rimborso.

Ritengo che le condizioni dell’offerta avrebbero dovuto essere indicate in maniera molto più chiara e trasparente prima del pagamento. Mi sono sentita ingannata e trovo inaccettabile anche la totale indisponibilità dell’assistenza a risolvere il problema. Sconsiglio vivamente questo sito.

Ho utilizzato TextGuard una sola volta e, successivamente, mi sono ritrovato oggi un addebito di €39,90 tramite Apple Pay relativo al rinnovo dell’abbonamento.

Non avevo intenzione di proseguire con un abbonamento mensile e ho contattato immediatamente il servizio clienti chiedendo il rimborso. Mi è stato risposto che il rimborso non sarebbe possibile perché l’abbonamento si era rinnovato automaticamente al termine della prova di 24 ore.

Il servizio clienti ha comunque confermato per iscritto la cancellazione dell’abbonamento e che non verranno effettuati ulteriori addebiti.

Trovo questo meccanismo e soprattutto la gestione della richiesta di rimborso poco trasparenti dal punto di vista del consumatore.

Ho chiesto che il caso venga riesaminato e, in assenza di una soluzione, mi rivolgerò anche al mio gestore del pagamento e agli organismi competenti per segnalare la mia esperienza.

Invito chiunque stia valutando di utilizzare questo servizio a prestare particolare attenzione alle condizioni della prova e al successivo rinnovo automatico.

Textguardai è vergognoso. Reputa un testo scritto in un linguaggio stilistico personale, troppo bello per essere scaturito dalla mente umana. Più lo stile è raffinato più sostiene essere generato con AI. Ho anche fatto la prova chiedendo a textguardai di “umanizzare “ il testo. Una bieca e sterile trasformazione di alcune parole, qua e là nel testo. In pratica offensivo della creatività umana. Infine, per ultimo, ma non per importanza, Textguardai giudica/ rileva il titolo del mio libro, che è un nome proprio di persona, quale generato con AI. Però non ha fornito un nome “umanizzato” nè alternativo nè niente. Forse a textguardai è stato detto che gli umani si esprimono con le emoticon ed io non ne ho usata neanche una. Starò attenta.

Habe den 24h Plan gekauft für 0,70€, dabei kann man aber nur eine minimale anzahl an texten humanizen. Wenn man es nicht rechtzeitig kündigt wird das Abo automatisch auf das teuerste geändert. Das Beste ist ja noch, bei der Demo kam so eine special Animation als würde der so viel im Hintergrund berechnen und bearbeiten, dabei macht der kaum was und GPTZero erkennt den Text IMMER mit 100% AI. Auf keinen Fall denen überhaupt die 70Cent geben
