The Brook Opiniões 

I ordered a batch of meals for my husband who doesn't cook, whilst I was on holiday. The feedback he gave me for the meals: "they ranged from "that's nice" to "wow, super tasty!"". Will be buying again!

Sounded like a great idea for when I couldn't be bothered to cook so I signed up for a regular freezer fillers delivery but I will be cancelling it immediately. I've eaten two of the meals already. First the black bean chilli which was much too salty and not at all spicy. I really didn't enjoy it at all. I didn't want to give a bad review based on one meal - maybe someone had an accident with the salt after all. The next one I tried was the sausage one - small portion, sausages too small for their skins, not much flavour - not at all inspiring. If I'd been in an actual restaurant I'd have sent both meals back. I hope the others will be better but am not in a rush to try them.

Ok. Typical vegan here so always looking to try absolutely anything labelled as vegan and always hopeful it tastes good.

I've tried two meals so far, the satay skewers and the mac and cheese. Both were really delicious, but the skewers were by far the big winner for me. Meat substitute can be hit and miss, but they had a great texture and the satay sauce I would gladly have in a pot for all of my dipping needs.

Each meal is a single portion, so we combined two and shared. It's worth noting that you just get the main element of the email so you will need to have rice or potatoes or salad or veg etc in the house to complete the meal. That's easy for us as we always have something carby in.

Fair warning, a freezer clear out might be required as these packed our freezer out.

In terms of delivery etc. it was super quick and DPD sent texts with delivery windows etc. so that was all very easy.

Overall, we were both incredibly happy and can't wait to try all of the other dishes.

Great meals! Really tasty and so handy to stock up the freezer for those nights you don't have the time to cook.

Food delivered as promised & totally delicious. Really easy and quick to get on the table. I hope that the 'crab pate' will one day grace supermarket shelves as I couldn't get enough of it!

Ridiculously small ammount of food for the price, (one bao bun each? 3 TINY meatballs each?) combined with too much sauce...juat felt wasteful.
Then the food itself, very bland. No impact of flavour, prefered to cook myself to get some actual taste (and a normal ammount of food). We just stopped eating it was that bad.

The freezer fillers are great to have as handy ready meals to accompany chips, potato or rice to make easy and quick meals, or as standalone meals . The flavours are lovely and there are an ever increasing tasty range to choose from.

Fantastic! 100% would do again, I am a GF VG and felt fully included as well so I really appreciated that a majority of the dishes worked for me as well as the other vegan's in our group.

We have now had two dinners from the Brook and they have both been excellent. The cooking instructions are clear and easy and the meals have been prepared in minutes. The tastes and combinations have been wonderful and as good as eating out. We like the 'small plates' approach of a number of different dishes and we have been really full after each meal. The Brook make marvellous vegan food that everyone would love.

Delicious meals, good value and delivered quickly. What's not to like!?

We really enjoyed the Mumbai nights supper club. Really tasty food, so different to anything I would make at home. Only disappointment was the Dahl it was really watery and I’m not a fan of coriander but that is a personal preference I knew it was a risk when I ordered it but everything else was delicious. Delivery was great instructions easy to follow and packing all recyclable

I've ordered the dining experience before which was just excellent so I was excited to see that they actually offer daily ready-meal subscription and I signed up!

I quickly put the order through and did not pay much attention to Main vs Meal and was instead tempted by the pictures.

I ended up ordering "Mains" and since I'm not on a low carb diet I had to add some carbs. They make the point that people can choose which carb they want which absolutely makes sense to me. Luckily I had some minute microwave rice available to add.

But even with the extra carb the portions are still on the small side.

I ordered one "Meal" where you don't need to a side but I still needed to quickly bake a baguette to add some carbs which worked well with the thin sauce (Spanish Sausage).

I enjoy cooking and I use ready meals really only when I'm short for time and when I finish working late, I need a quick meal but don't want to sacrifice on taste. Brook really hits the spot on the taste (although I'd prefer the sauces to be a little thicker which would make the meals also more filling) but I certainly don't want to cook any side dishes. Would be great if you would offer side dishes as an option too (mashed potato for braised beefy stew or the chasseur (which I think is the best ready made meal I've ever tasted!).

Anyway - I will order again since the meals taste great but will still be open for alternatives.

I ordered a supper club sea-lovers menu for my husband’s 30th, and it was wonderful! It was my first time ordering from The Brook, and we will most definitely be regular customers now. Reasonably priced, beautiful quality food, perfect for a date night at home when the children are in bed!

Favourite dining experience so far!! We are now on our 5th experience and the sea lovers special was simply superb! The charcoal sourdough and smoked seaweed butter I want with every meal! My meat eating hubby thought the Tofish was inspired and we both loved the depth of flavour to the stew. Finished off with a moreish chocolate brownie - even more impressed than usual!

Delicious combination. Of meals, as ever. The tofish and chips never fails to please….and absolute Brook staple. As for the chassuer….truly delicious….we added a little sourdough bread ourselves, to make the most of mopping up the delicious sauce 😋

The Tofish dish was exactly what I expected fish to taste like. Having been a vegan for over 17 years this dish goes to prove you do not lose by being vegan, in fact you only gain. If fish & chips is your favourite then this is definitely a dish for you to try.

Fantastic food, delivered perfectly. Easy to finalise at home... and all vegan... will definitely order again - thanks The Brook!
