Went in to buy a car, put down a deposit, got sold an extra cover for 1.5k (that was fine at the time) bought car home but took pictures of it before I left the premises. Drove home and noticed a crack in the screen. Took the car back in and showed the picture, time date and stamped- told me to bring it back the week after.
Dropped my car off the following week- was in the garage all day and come out to a scratched alloy, scratched gear stick, and crack hadn’t been fixed.
After 8+ hours of the car being in their garage was then told that chips/cracks aren’t fixed on premises.
Went home and they sent someone out to be told that it had already been fixed and there’s nothing they can do- and that the man who even works for them said he would never buy a car from their business and to ‘read the reviews’
Fast forward a few months and the business has shut down no-where to be seen. Absolute SCAM!

I recently got my new car from The Car Group and had a great experience. The staff, particularly Kevin and Adam, were extremely helpful, ensuring everything from paperwork to part exchange was handled efficiently. They were attentive to details, like sorting out a mark on the bonnet before purchase, and made the entire process smooth. The friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable advice made me confident in my decision. I walked away with peace of mind, and I would definitely recommend The Car Group for anyone in search of a new car.

If you are thinking of choosing this instagram company over a main dealership I would think again. You would like to think that a company like this would offer better, personable experience but infact they offer the exact opposite. Not only do they sell cars with major faults wrong with them, their staff who are meant to assist you, offer little to no help at all! My partner recently purchased a Mercedes with them and there appears to be a major fault with the vehicle already but the car group want nothing to do it… shock as it’s £1500 to repair! They are claiming it’s out of warranty even though their website states a 6 month STANDARD warranty and it was purchased less than 6 months ago. Extremely disappointed with this dealership. If you are still considering choosing this company after the poor reviews, make sure you run a full diagnostics check on your desired vehicle before they try and blame you for the future issues you will encounter!
No communication after the purchase
No communication after the purchase. Calls not answered or not returned. Emails not replied to. Promise of “ someone will contact you “ never happens.The £2500 RAC warranty i purchased is now useless as the RAC have taken their warranty / service relationship off them leaving me in no man’s land. Advice is don’t go there
Outstanding Finance
I purchased at car 6 weeks ago from this company, before purchasing I did a HPI check and found a 6 month outstanding finance on the car. When I asked about this I was told this was a “Stocking loan” and all of their stock in on finance and I was reassured as soon as the funds was cleared that this would be cleared immediately.
I then did another HPI check a couple weeks later and found it was still on there so I contacted Adnan the guy who sold me the car and he reassured me that this was going to be cleared within the next few days.
Fast forward another 3 weeks and I found that this has not yet been cleared so when contacting the dealer themselves to chase this up yet again I was told that the company is now closed, leaving me with huge upset and worry that my car can be repossessed at any time.
Adnan was demanding me to leave him a positive review upon me leaving the showroom and as I told him I will wait to see if I’m fully satisfied once I have tested the car and seen if he can follow through with his promises which he has not.
Finally I’ve also had a warning light on my dash about my gear box and my car seems to struggle going up hills and yet I can even take this further as they have decided to close there store temporarily and offer zero aftercare for their customers
Stay Away
Bought a car off them last month. I was given one car key that didnt work, i had to use it manually which didn't lock all of the doors. The suspension is gone and the car had two slow punctures too. There was no windscreen fluid in and when i picked it up i was there for 90 minutes whilst they 'valeted' the car. I agreed to buy the car on the saturday and i picked it up sunday, plenty of time to solve these issues. They pushed me into buying the warrantee and MOT/ service plan and now they are 'temporarily closed' and my MOT is due in 3 weeks. Couldnt have had a worse experience! At the time i was paying for my car somebody came in demanding a refund and i started to feel uneasy. I should have listened to my gut and walked away.

After selling services is really terrible. No one answer to your calls. They give you a number for services but they denied to support me and just said we are not able to cover your annual services. I’ve spent by my own. Really disappointed and never back to them.
Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers, I bought a car 5 weeks ago and the day I got the car, the engine light come on soon as I got home , The car needs over £1000 worth of repairs and the car group are not 1 bit interested about , I also have traded my old car in with them and they have failed to pay the finance off the car, leaving me in £8000 worth of debt, I have reported to trading standards, and got a crime number that’s been logged with the police , am talking to a solicitor tomorrow aswell, I have been ringing the car group every single day for 6 weeks soild and can never get hold of any1 and they have told me over 100time am on a High priority for a call back !!!!! Week 6 now and am still waiting, do not use this company it clearly not a proper company just google the name and read the thousands of complaints from other customers, also payed 500 for a warranty with A1 warranty but they even said they will not touch the car and don’t want anything to do with the company, I have heard from loads of people that they have the same issue as me and there finance has not been settled, company now say temporary closed so Carnt get no where with them , I rang the guy on reception this week was explaining my situation and he proceeded to laugh down the phone to me, very professional

Let me give you a piece of advice stay away from the car group or you'll regret it by every single cell in body.
you either take my word for it as it's "word to the wise" or you don't but believe you me,you don't wanna a car from this dealership because they are not honest,not helpful, don't care about their customers,will take advantage of you and screw you over in every which way.

FRAUDULENT SCAM OF A COMPANY, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY. Completely unprofessional. I originally saw a car on Autotrader which I fully intended to purchase. After calling The Car Group, I managed to get through to someone to query whether the car was still available. I was told that the vehicle wasn't currently at the showroom as it was having work done on it but it would be back the next day and I could book a test drive. I arrived the following day to test drive the car but it wasn't there. I was told that the gaffers son had taken the car and they were trying to get it back. I was expecting a call in the next day or so, which I never got, so I went back to the showroom yet again and was told it would definitely be back in the showroom the following week and if I paid a reservation fee, it would be taken off sale. I paid £100 to reserve and yet again, another week went buy and I had heard nothing. I returned to the showroom AGAIN, only this time I found that the gates were completely padlocked and the showroom was closed - on a Saturday!! After some digging I found the salesman's instagram account after not being able to get hold of a single person and I messaged him to find out what was going on. I've been told that one of the old directors has done the company over and all vehicles had been removed. I was assured I would be refunded the £100 as the company is still trading however I'm yet to see this. Absolute disgrace to be honest.

I paid a viewing deposit but changed my mind the following day that I would no proceed with buying the car, it's been over 20days and still I have not received my refund and I feel there is no intention to refund me.
I have called and emailed with no response just being fobbed off when I call them.
Continued Disappointment and Lack of Support from The Car Group
I previously shared my experience with The Car Group, giving them a one-star rating due to persistent issues with my vehicle's suspension and air conditioning. Approximately three months ago, I first encountered multiple problems, including warped front discs, issues with the rear discs, a non-functioning air conditioner, and strange noises from both the front and rear suspension.
Over the past few months, I have visited The Car Group at least five to seven times, traveling from Liverpool each time. Each visit consumed a significant amount of my day as I tried to resolve these ongoing issues. While they did replace the front discs, I had to repeatedly prove that the other problems existed, and the rear discs and suspension issues were largely ignored. Unfortunately, the air conditioner also remained unfixed, which significantly affected the vehicle's handling and safety.
After I submitted my initial review, I received a call from The Car Group to discuss the problems with my vehicle. We reached an agreement to address the issues, which included extending the warranty for an additional six months and ensuring that the necessary repairs would be conducted at Land Rover. They also agreed to replace the front tires of my vehicle. The first available appointment for these repairs at Land Rover Chester was scheduled for October 21.
On October 21, according to our agreement, I brought my vehicle to Land Rover Chester, expecting that the necessary arrangements for repairs had been coordinated. Unfortunately, the required authorizations were not in place, which forced me to take a taxi from Chester to Liverpool to address the issue. When I arrived, I discovered that the staff had completely changed, and the situation was very disorganized. After explaining the circumstances, I managed to arrange for a courtesy around 4 PM to get back home. Later that day, I received an update from Land Rover, informing me that the diagnostic work had been completed, and the estimated repair costs for the air conditioning were £2,700, along with a £300 diagnostic fee. They sent this information to The Car Group for payment approval, so the repairs could commence. However, from that Tuesday onward, I followed up daily with Land Rover Chester, and they consistently stated that they had completed all necessary paperwork and were waiting for payment from The Car Group. Unfortunately, this issue dragged on until October 30, and no payment was made.
Despite my daily follow-ups, including multiple emails and phone calls to Daniel and other representatives, I often struggled to reach anyone or received only voicemail responses. This lack of communication has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
After nine days of no action and in urgent need of updates, I felt compelled to pay the £300 diagnostic fee myself in order to retrieve my vehicle. When I discussed this situation with Daniel, he expressed anger and indicated that I should not have paid for the repairs and not be allowed to keep the curtesy car!
The suspension problem remains unresolved, with further investigation necessary to identify the root cause. Although Daniel mentioned that the hydraulic bushings were okay, there were still noises coming from the suspension, suggesting that additional diagnostic work is needed.
This ongoing lack of support and communication from The Car Group has greatly diminished my trust in their services. I feel compelled to share this experience to warn others about the potential difficulties they may encounter.
Despite the vehicle being unsafe to drive and the outstanding issues remaining unresolved, The Car Group showed no interest in addressing the authorization for repairs. After enduring this frustrating ordeal and exhibiting considerable patience, I found Mr. Daniel’s attitude was extremely disappointing; he seemed more concerned about retrieving the rental car than acknowledging the significant distress I faced as a customer for the past six months. It is disheartening that a vehicle that should not have been sold in its condition was sold to me, and The Car Group has failed to take responsibility for the situation. I believe I must escalate this matter to the Trade Ombudsman. I urge them to retrieve their rental vehicle and take responsibility for their actions moving forward.
Dear Sir,
I have no interest in keeping the courtesy car that you provided for me. Please come and collect it, and I hope we can resolve our issues through other means.
