Resposta da The Cheese Lady
Dear Alan,
Thank you for your lovely review! We're pleased we could help you source the cheese you wanted and that it arrived smoothly.
Regarding soft cheese dates, farmhouse and artisan cheeses naturally have shorter shelf lives compared to mass-produced varieties. We typically receive soft cheeses with a shelf life of 2-3 weeks. However, the beauty of soft cheeses is that they continue to develop in flavour as they ripen, reaching their 'peak' around the date stated on the packaging. With 13 days remaining, I am happy to confirm that your Vacherin Mont d'Or was well within the norm for fine cheese.
We appreciate your feedback and are always happy to advise on cheese ripeness, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at hello@thecheeselady.co.uk if you have any questions.
Best wishes,
Svetlana (The Cheese Lady) & Team

Cheese, glorious cheese!
The only thing better than cheese is more cheese. Add some truffle and it’s pure heaven. Not only does the Cheese Lady carry a wonderful range of cheeses, but also fun items such as an excellent raclette machine. Tip top service too.
