Offered No Refund after Lost Shipment
I originally ordered six bars on Dec 10th. Their website said two-day shipping, but I was notified the order would be delivered on Dec 17th. After waiting three days after the Dec 17th delivery date, I contacted the company on Dec 20th. They asked me if I wanted a refund or a replacement order. I requested a refund since the replacement order would not arrive before Christmas. After they previously offered a refund, they then told me a refund was not possible due to the "perishable nature" of their products. This is unacceptable. The lost shipment is their problem, not mine. I never received the product that I paid for. I told them I would file a dispute for this charge.
Incredible Chocolate and Outstanding Support
I have been buying Conscious Bar chocolate for about a year now. We've placed about 8 orders in that time. The chocolate never disappoints. It's always consistent, and always delicious. The fact that it's made with only a few simple ingredients (and no added sugar!) is the best part. We can eat it guilt free, and even feel good about giving it to our young kids too.
The service has also been top notch. I've reached out for support a couple of times. Once because I mistakingly typed in the wrong email (oops). They fixed it quickly. The most recent time I reached out was because they accidentally sent me the wrong items in my order. I ordered 12 bars of the Orange Blossom and 12 of the Smooth Dark Chocolate, plus two other bars in other flavors. They gave me all Smooth Dark Chocolate instead of the Orange Blossom. I reached out and showed a picture. This was after their Black Friday sale so they were obviously moving fast to get out a large amount of orders as quickly as possible. Not the end of the world, and I wasn't upset about it. But I did want it corrected. Within a minute of me reaching out (seriously!), Daniella with customer support responded and apologized and told me it was being escalated and would be resolved asap. Within 15 minutes after that, I received an order confirmation with my entire order again, but for free. Daniella responded and apologized again and told me to keep the incorrect order as an apology. They truly went above and beyond for a simple packing error. They stand by their product and I will continue to buy (and recommend) Conscious Bar chocolate for years to come.

The chocolate bars are VERY bitter, and they do not stand behind their product! I tried 4 different bars and they were all the same. So I asked for a refund and was refused. At least DAT bars offer a money back guarantee.
Save your money and go to another chocolate company!

I ordered at least one of each chocolate bar that were available at the time of purchase and have to say these are the worst tasting chocolate bars I have ever experienced. Ever. I find that they have very little taste and that it does not include a flavor of chocolate. I think it’s overrated and definitely overpriced. It would not recommend it. On a somewhat positive note the bars came well wrapped and had an ice pack inside, but it was all liquid when I received it. Honestly, most packages that need to be chilled usually come that way.
They do not respond. They shipped to the wrong address and will not help me resolve this.
I placed an order because I wanted to try their chocolate. I ordered it to be shipped to an address where I’m staying temporarily, it was entered correctly on the order. They shipped it FedEx to an address in Florida where I am not at right now. I emailed them and got no response. I had a chat with them and they told me to have a neighbor pick it up which is not possible. I would’ve never have ordered this to be shipped to Florida where I know it would melt if I’m not there. I chatted with someone, they responded a few times and then stopped responding completely. Therefore, I submitted a dispute with my credit card company. Be very wary of this company.
Terrible packing and customer service
8 days ago my first order of 4 bars of chocolate arrived totally liquid. They failed to pack properly for summer. I reached out to customer service by email - nothing. I reached out again with photos. Nothing. I reached out again this week. No response still. They will happily respond on social media where people are watching. But not in an actual email about your order. I’m done waiting, thus, my review.
Did the chocolate harden eventually? Yes. Very unevenly and not great. Did it taste good? Yeah it was ok. I get chocolate shipped from other places and in much better condition as well as better flavor. This place is literally less than an hour from my house. I think this could have gone way better. But after this experience I’ll be moving on. For a “conscious bar,” that is very much the part that’s lacking.

It is so delicious, and the use of dates as a sweetener makes it a healthy option. I also love that this product is tested for lead. It is truly a unique chocolate among the myriad of options available.
My only wish is that they would add a darker chocolate to their offerings. I highly recommend this product!
