We’re sorry to read your review and are concerned by the allegations made. We have searched our records but, based on the information provided, we have been unable to identify you as a customer of The Golf Growth Group.

We are more than happy to investigate any genuine concerns and address them properly, but we need to be able to identify the relevant customer and account first.

In relation to golf bookings, availability is always subject to the availability of the individual golf club. Our team will always look to accommodate members’ preferences wherever possible and will work through the requested options based on availability. Importantly, **over 80% of bookings are currently facilitated at the member’s first-choice golf course**, which is directly contrary to the suggestion that members are routinely being offered their least-preferred option.

We also do not represent that every booking will be available at a particular course on every requested date. Golf club availability naturally varies, particularly at the most popular venues, and our team works with members to find suitable alternatives where their first choice is unavailable.

As for the renewal point, the suggestion that the renewal provision is something we deliberately “hide” is not accurate. The applicable Terms of Business form part of the contractual documentation and clearly set out the notice requirements and automatic renewal provisions. Customers are responsible for reviewing the terms of the agreement they enter into, including the provisions relating to termination and renewal.

It is also important to clarify that **renewals take place at the same cost and on the same basis as the initial term, unless there has been a material change to the package**. We do not routinely increase prices simply because an agreement renews. In fact, we are one of the relatively small number of businesses in our sector that have maintained this approach rather than routinely applying price increases at renewal.

We strongly reject the allegation that we are “scamming” customers. We are a legitimate business providing a corporate golf marketing and membership service to businesses across the UK, and we are always willing to investigate a genuine service complaint where we can identify the customer and the specific circumstances.

The statement that customers should “go and sign up to your local club” does not identify any specific issue with the service provided, nor does it explain what aspect of the agreed package you believe was not delivered.

Our golf package is a contractual service and, as clearly set out in the applicable terms, golf bookings and complimentary golf allocations are subject to availability. We do not guarantee unrestricted access to any particular golf club, course or tee time.

If you are an existing or former client, please contact us directly with your name, company name and the email address registered to your account. We will then be able to locate your agreement, review your account and booking history, and address any specific concerns you may have.

We are always willing to investigate genuine customer concerns, but a generalised statement advising others not to use our company, without identifying the account or providing any specific details, gives us no meaningful opportunity to investigate or respond.

Dear Diane,

We are sorry to read this review, particularly given that a number of the statements made are factually inaccurate and do not reflect the communication or account history held by our business.

For clarity, this reviewer is a former client and is therefore identifiable to us. We have extensive records of communications and engagement with the client, which do not support the assertion that we “refused to engage” or failed to answer her questions. There have been numerous communications with the client regarding the account and the matters raised, and we have responded to the points put forward.

The statement that she “never signed the contract” is also a matter that can be evidenced from our records. The agreement, associated documentation and audit trail are retained by us and can be provided where appropriate. Similarly, the suggestion that the advertising service simply failed to materialise is not an accurate representation of the account history or the work undertaken.

We also reject the suggestion that we mis-sold the service, deliberately provided misleading information, or acted fraudulently. These are serious allegations and should not be made as assertions of fact without evidence.

With regard to the golf club referenced, the terms of the client's agreement were not dependent upon the golf club being the sole or exclusive provider of the contracted service. Our package operates across our wider network, subject to the applicable terms and availability. A client's understanding of a particular golf club's relationship with us does not alter the terms of their agreement with The Golf Growth Group.

We have previously had inaccurate reviews relating to this business removed through the appropriate review platform processes where the content was found not to comply with the platform's requirements. We have no objection whatsoever to genuine negative feedback, but reviews must accurately reflect the underlying facts and should not contain unsupported allegations of lying, mis-selling or being a “scammer”.

If the reviewer wishes to pursue a formal complaint or dispute, we remain willing to deal with it through the appropriate channels and on the basis of the documented account history.

Dear Timothy,

You have now set out a lengthy version of your allegations on Trustpilot, but repeating allegations does not make them established facts.

There is a fundamental difference between stating that you believe something happened and establishing what actually happened. You say you have recordings, transcripts and other evidence. Those materials can be produced through the appropriate proceedings, where both parties can present their evidence against the full contractual and factual record.

What we will not do is conduct an ongoing contractual dispute, chargeback and court claim through a public review platform.

Your suggestion that we have ignored you or refused to engage is simply not an accurate representation of the history between the parties. There has been extensive correspondence and communication, and there is a substantial documentary record. You have raised your position, we have responded, and the matter has now progressed into formal dispute channels.

You have chosen to present a disputed allegation regarding a sales conversation as though that conversation, in isolation, determines the contractual position. It does not. The circumstances of the sale, the agreement subsequently entered into, the contractual terms, the services purchased, the communications between the parties and the surrounding evidence all form part of the relevant factual background. That is precisely why these matters should be determined through the appropriate process rather than by selectively presenting one version of events on Trustpilot.

You repeatedly refer to your integrity and invite us to “swear on oath” about what was said on a telephone call. That is not how contractual disputes are determined. If you believe your evidence establishes your case, you have an appropriate forum in which to present it. We will do exactly the same with ours.

You have also referred to previous reviews being removed. To be clear, this was not The Golf Growth Group attempting to silence you or prevent you from expressing dissatisfaction. Reviews relating to this matter have been subject to Trustpilot's own review and compliance processes. Their removal, amendment or reposting does not determine whether the underlying allegations are correct.

Likewise, your suggestion that customers are somehow “trapped” through automatic renewal is a characterisation we categorically reject. The contractual renewal provisions form part of the agreement entered into. Disagreement with a contractual provision does not make it deceptive, dishonest or a “trap”.

Most importantly, you are currently pursuing this matter through formal channels, including a chargeback and court proceedings. That is where the substantive issues belong. We will provide the relevant contractual documents, correspondence, call records and other evidence through those channels as appropriate.

We are not going to publish confidential or potentially evidential material on Trustpilot simply because you have invited us to do so. Nor will we allow a public review platform to become a substitute for the court process.

You are entitled to give an honest opinion about your experience. However, disputed allegations of dishonesty, mis-selling, deliberate concealment or “trapping” customers should not be presented as established facts when those matters are expressly disputed and currently subject to formal proceedings.

For anyone reading this review, the position is simple:

We are disappointed to read this account, particularly as it does not accurately reflect the contractual position or the communications that took place.

The agreement was a business-to-business contract entered into on agreed terms, including provisions concerning its initial term, renewal and the requirement for written notice of termination. No valid notice of termination was received within the contractual notice period. The agreement therefore renewed in accordance with the terms to which the parties had agreed.

It is important to distinguish between dissatisfaction with the contractual outcome and an allegation that the contract was improperly applied. The renewal was not something we imposed retrospectively or introduced after the event; it arose because the agreed notice provisions were not complied with. The position was explained to you at the time, and a goodwill termination arrangement was offered despite the absence of the required notice.

We also reject the suggestion that the company simply took payment and did nothing. The package is a wider B2B marketing proposition incorporating a number of contracted elements, and performance cannot reasonably be assessed solely by whether a particular golf club employee recognised an individual business or whether an app displayed a particular listing at a particular point in time. The contractual obligations and the actual delivery record are matters that can be evidenced.

For clarity, we are not going to disclose private contractual correspondence or account information on a public review platform. If you maintain that any specific contractual obligation was not delivered, you are welcome to set out that allegation through the appropriate formal channel, where the relevant records can be considered properly.

We also note that this review identifies an individual employee by name and attributes specific statements and conduct to that individual. Those personal references are unnecessary to the review of the company’s services and will therefore be reported to Trustpilot for review under its content guidelines. We will provide the relevant supporting information to Trustpilot if required.

We are entitled to respond to criticism, but we will not allow a public review to create a misleading impression of the contractual position or to personally target members of our team.

The underlying contractual matter has been dealt with and the agreed termination amount has been paid. We consider the matter closed.
