I will admit that I had to wait 6 weeks from order to delivery. They ran out of stock and needed a new shipment. I was worried that I had been scammed but they came through in the end. For most of that time they updated me so I am relieved that all went well in the end.

I purchased the Purrpod water fountain and it works perfectly. Its clean, quiet and easy to use. 2 of my 3 cats love it so i was keen to keep if flowing. Of course you need to purchase replacement filters so i signed up for a 2 monthly subscription. 6 weeks after ordering replacement filters, my water fountain is in the cupboard and im yet to recieve anything.
Any time i send an email, its over a week until I get a response and all i get is an blanket apology and an assurance that the item has been shipped.
However, when attempting to track the order or find the order all i recieve is notification "Cannot find order".
This has occured 3 times and now 6 weeks i am demanding a refund and giving away the water fountain. Cant use it without the filters.
Pity, i give 5 stars to the product itself.
Terrible customer service

I filled in the report they asked for and sent photos as requested. No response before xmas until i left a negative review on their site. Then they asked for video of the pod working. I explained it doesnt work. No response. So furious. I would never recomend this product.

Amazon also sell many similar products for around $50. I got sucked in with the “Australian company / product” marketing jargon unfortunately.
Masquerading as an Australian company
After purchasing, I’ve come to realise this is simply a drop shipping company that imports the same unit from China with a huge 350% markup.
Figured it out after using the app and a mention of “Tonepie” under the settings.
You can buy the Tonepie English model on AliExpress for $230.
It’s a scam don’t buy this product!!
It’s a long story but bear with me! I bought a water fountain for my cat on the 14/12/25. I saw the article had express shipping and was promised my fountain before Xmas. This did not occur and I hadn’t received a shipping confirmation so I was worried I had been scammed. I reached out by phone, email and messenger multiple times and finally got an answer via messenger from a lady named Jo who was quite helpful. I hadn’t received my parcel on Xmas eve as promised so I contacted purr pod and got a refund. I again fell for their slick advertising and gave in and ordered another fountain on the 25/12/25 and still on the 6/1/26 haven’t received it. I am aware there are multiple public holidays in this period but express post is just that: express! I did receive a dispatch notice from china which had me really concerned as the company boasts of being Aussie owned. I thought I was supporting an Aussie company but the dispatch said it was from china which set alarm bells ringing. Also I had to beg in emails for contact and after I got my refund they deleted the email chain where I was begging for someone from Purr pod to contact me. I have reached out by email, messenger and by phone to no contact at all. I should have read the reviews on trustpilot before purchasing this item rather than falling for slick marketing and advertising on instagram and their website. When I saw the reviews on trustpilot I felt sick cos I know I have said goodbye to $195.0 of my hard earned money. Also when I read the message detailing how a consumer had to go to consumer affairs I felt ill cos that is what this is looking like happening for me to get my money back. Thank you for bearing with me shed my story and and I hope it saves someone else from this horrible experience with purr pod. Just found out from the commonwealth bank your credit card will be accessed in china hence their shipping coming from china so much for the Aussie owned and operated gimmick. Have contacted the bank and let them know if my experience with purpose they said they would handle it from now on so buyer beware don’t fall for their slick approach and so called 24/7 support team it’s a farce!!!
Very Slow Shipping and poor Customer Service
The company currently offers free Express Shipping for Australian orders. I placed my order on 5 December 2025 thinking I would get it in 3 to 5 days. 11 days later and it hasn't even left their warehouse yet. Contacted support multiple times and they keep blaming Australia Post for not updating the status on their deliveries. Don't falsely offer Express Shipping if you cannot fulfill the orders quickly.
The unit died after 4 months
The unit died after 4 months, got the run around with smarmy AI e mails, agreed to a refund finally through pay pal and then cancelled it. Stuffed me about until it went over the 180 days limit required by pay pal.
It’s crap and their service is non existent. Avoid or poke a pin in your eye it will be a nicer experience.

Purr-pod water fountain Warranty Issues
We bought the Purr-pod water fountain for our cats. It worked for a few months then failed. We contacted Purr-pod to get the matter resolved under warranty, but found their response below poor. They kept asking for videos and pictures of the device, which we sent. Then they kept giving us the run-around until we got frustrated and contacted NSW Fair Trading. We then sent Purr-pod a letter of demand and they kept asking for more videos. Then we had to submit a formal complaint regarding them.
Based on their extremely poor customer service and response, I would give them 0 Stars, but the minimum is 1.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURR-POD AT ALL.

I write formally regarding my order placed with PURR POD GROUP PTY LTD on 9 August 2025, which remains undelivered despite multiple email confirmations received from your company. My order consisted of:

Free mat (as advertised)
Liners
To date, I have not received any of these goods. Your company has failed to supply the products purchased, nor has it provided an acceptable resolution.
This conduct constitutes a breach of Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), which requires that goods purchased must be supplied within a reasonable time and in accordance with the contract. Failure to do so entitles the consumer to a full refund.
Further, the deliberate misrepresentation of delivery status raises serious concerns of deceptive and misleading conduct, in contravention of Sections 18 and 29 of the ACL.
Accordingly, I demand the full and immediate refund of my payment for the order placed on 9 August 2025.
Unless this refund is received within seven (7) days from the date of this letter, I will proceed without further notice to:
Lodge a formal complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Office of Fair Trading Queensland; and
Commence legal proceedings to recover the funds owed, including any additional costs, fees, and damages permitted under law.
This letter is sent as a final demand. Should payment not be received within the time specified, I will pursue all available legal remedies without further correspondence.
Please remit the refund directly to my original method of payment, or alternatively, contact me to arrange bank transfer details.

Dishonest company
My order consisted of the pod, free mat and I ordered liners.
Shop app stated mat had been delivered- nothing had been delivered. I contacted them via email- Jo from support said that no, the app was confused and the liners had been delivered as the mat was to be dispatched with the pod- skipping over the fact that I told her nothing had been delivered. I requested a refund and cancellation of my order, this was not actioned, instead Jo said she would look into the undelivered item. I noted that their ABN is not listed on their website- not a law but highly recommended to trust and confidence in any business- I was questioned as to why I wanted it- I looked it up. Eventually Jo agreed to the refund, Paypal showed it pending, for quite a while, I enquired as to why, as well as stating that I no longer needed their ABN and stated what it was. I was told by Jo that the funds had definitely been released their end abd sometimes PayPal take a few days. I check PayPal and it says the refund was cancelled and I received an email from PayPal that said the refund has been taking longer than expected and to contact Purr Pod, which I have again done. I think an official report to the ACCC is in order.
Seriously stay clear of this company- I just wish I had read the reviews before placing my order.
Faulty products with no ethics
The machine became faulty after 6 months, tipping soiled kitty litter through the machine and all over the floor. Customer service has been woeful. It has been months of back and forth, and they only offered a replacement silicon liner which has never arrived, 2.5months later after their last email.
SCAM
SCAM! STOP! Do not order from Purr Pod. This is from Bunnings, just with a higher cost. It will take 2 months to come and the quality is very bad, the customer service is even worse, almost non existent. Buy at a reputable place to Bunnings or a pet store instead. If you want a refund, forget about it. I’m still waiting for mine.
Scam - no product and no reply
Site claims fast and free shipping. Two leeks later has not been shipped and no one will reply to my inquiries. Going to have to go through my bank for a refund.

Great product, second product from them now. I’ve got the Purrpod and the water fountain. Both are fantastic. Love the no scooping life. plus customer service is 10/10
Excellent water fountain for our cat
The purr fountain was very well made, easy to put together, easy to keep clean. It turns on automatically and can be located anywhere. The battery has been lasting a few weeks between charges for our situation. We are so thrilled with it we have a second one ordered.

Do not go near this company. These boxes are just a generic box they renews and sell as Australian owned. Once you purchase you will never get the support you need, nothing will be their fault and everything will break and smell. I had to battle through PayPal to get my money back. Worse experience out. They also took 6 months to fulfil the original order. STAY AWAY

Im having to wash the entire unit 3 times a week on a good week some weeks it is daily.
The silicone mat is poorly designed and doesn't stay in place. I stupidly purchased a second mat thinking the first was just a dud. Nope the second one is exactly the same.
Urine leaks through the mat and onto the base of where the pod sits that's even if the mat doesn't move out of place.
Dirty litter falls back into the clean litter towards the end of the cleaning cycle even with a empty bag.
The pod itself is really small and at times my cat has peed out the vent at the back.
Not worth the $600 and 3 week wait to receive it.
Company claims to be Australian and product delivered in 2-4 days took 3 weeks for me
