I had a full valet and it was brilliant. The car looks like new. The inside was filthy and Smartwash did a great job . They arrived on time , was finished within the given time frame , easy to pay . Great service I would use again and highly recommend

I want to write this review about this Dishonest company as an employee that worked for them for not even a full day! On the 6th Oct 2024 I picked a VW van from a colleague to start my 4 days on shift for the first time on the 7th Oct 2024. At 8:30 am on the 7th Oct 2024 I took the Van to Watford to fill the water up at a local filling station. On the drive there I realized the front breaks were not feeling right and the car felt unsafe to drive. I then pulled over to do an inventory and safety check to update the company of tools and products. I was very shocked to see basic tools and equipment missing from the van which was needed to complete treatments for the day.

After I noticed this I notified The Smart Wash team to see if I could get the products needed for jobs bought for me, or go to a depo to collect. My 1st client was at 11am and I had messaged the company to call the client (as you don't get given clients contact details) and see if they could rebook them as I didn't want to do a mediocre job, especially on my first day.

I was told by a female staff member that they wouldn't cancel and were still willing to take their money. I told them I wouldn't be taking anyone's money without doing the job properly and to reschedule the client. Clearly not caring about the customer, she then suggested that and I should try to upsell the client a more expensive service knowing that I didn't have the proper tools in the first place.

As I didn't have a number for the client and they were 10 mins away, I drove to their house and explained why I wouldn't be able to do any work. The client told me they had called him to say that I was sick, instead of being truthful.

When I left the client I took the van to my dad, who is a trained mechanic with over 40 years experience. He assessed it that it should not be on the road and was dangerous. I then done some research into the company, and the rest of the fleet vehicles. When I discovered the van I was driving had failed its MOT on a few occasions. The most shocking part was the van had failed its MOT on the 19th December 2022 with various defects, but yet passed the same day and still had the same defects? The van till this day still has the same issues in 2024, how can this be?

I decided that I didn't want to work with a company with such low morals and principles and so contacted Nathaniel to pay me for any work done and to collect his van upon receipt of payment.
Holding a car key until payment is also what he teaches his employees to do with customers.

I then made plans with the owner to drop the van off where I picked it up from but then decided the company could pick it up from my home address due to the inconvenience.
After finding all this out I went to VW specialist in South London were I was told to contact DVLA and the police to report the van and the company due to negligence of due care from Nathaniel.

On my way home I was pulled over by traffic police, to tell me that Nathaniel AKA the owner of The Smart Wash had reported the van as stolen. How did I steal the van?? Well the report was that I went to Essex; (bearing in mind I already had the van the night before in London) jumped over the fence and fought with staff for the keys and took off in the van.
When I told police I had not been to Essex, only to Watford to fill up the water tank, they laughed. I was able to prove my whereabouts since 8:30 am on the 7th oct 2024. The police inspected the van and agreed it should not of passed its MOT due to its poor state. Me and the Police officers quickly realised Nathaniel had been taking his vans to a dodgy garage that will pass the MOT for him, this shows his lack of integrity for staff safety & other road users. He lacks basic ethics and integrity.

I would like to note that I terminated my position at The Smart Wash LTD the same day I started. this is not a malicious review but a truthful and honest one. On the 1st day I was shown, to lie and deceive customers out of their hard earned money for a very POOR detailing company. I am someone who loves cars and takes pleasure in my job and working with any car. I enjoy seeing a client happy from the job I have done with their prized possession and making them feel their money was well spent.

please believe all on the negative reviews you seen about TheSmartWash Ltd and Nathaniel and avoid this company and booking in your cars with staff members that have only had training for 3 days on cars and planes.

So he can't even be honest like i said my number is on here people. So if anyone would like proof feel free to call me. My last job I left due to a family situation. Me and my last employer parted ways. And these cowboys well again if you need proof people I have all the text messages and voice notes. Avoid avoid avoid

They done a great job and they was very quick. It was my first time using this service and I was highly impressed. They cleaned the interior of my car and everything was looking spotless. The mould and dirt was completely removed.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! I had paint splashed onto my car and the company who splashed the paint kindly agreed to rectify the damage. They called this company who came out and instead of getting rid of the paint this company scratched and damaged the paint work to the point where I would say I need a complete respray. As you can imagine I was so upset and approached Nathaniel who then became abusive and threatening. He knew he was in the wrong so his threatening and abusive behaviour was the only way he could worm his way out of it. Thankfully I didn't have to pay him and have the hassle of trying to get my money back but I am left with a car that has scratched paintwork! AVOID this company. DONT USE THEM!

hi im Wayne I was looking for a mobile car valet for inside & out plus deep cleaning and recolouring my convertible roof I was looking on the website and found a load of companies but was charging over £500 I was luckily enough to spot the smart wash LTD I ordered the works inside outside and the roof completely done,I only paid £220 I’m well satisfied with the outcome I would definitely recommend this company before anyone tries out another company,so many thanks to🙏 faith and the rest of the team 👏👏👏

Great service. Fitted me in last minute after a long journey from south wales. Cleaned my SF90 and Huracan to an amazing standard. If you have any supercars, please do not hesitate to book these guys. One of the best.
