This was the third time I’ve planned our company retreat with Surf Office, and it just keeps getting better each time. From the very beginning, they understand what we’re looking for as a team and tailor the entire experience to our needs.

As Chief of Staff, I’ve led the organisation of two company-wide retreats with Surf Office over the past two years, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The process begins with venue sourcing, and Giselle has been exceptional. She has an uncanny ability to understand the brief beyond what’s written down. Even when I felt I was being flexible, she instinctively knew what would truly work for our team. The venues she secured for both retreats were absolutely perfect - aligned to our culture, our objectives, and the experience we wanted to create. That level of intuition and precision is rare.

Once the venue is secured, the event planning team steps in. For both of our retreats, we had the privilege of working with Raquel. When confirming our second retreat, one of my non-negotiables was having Raquel with us again. That alone speaks volumes.

Raquel is exceptional. She operates with total professionalism, strategic awareness, warmth, and humour; she elevates every environment she steps into. Our retreats are high-stakes, complex events with senior stakeholders and significant internal visibility. The margin for error is minimal. Raquel not only manages that complexity flawlessly, she anticipates challenges before they arise, resolves issues discreetly, and creates an atmosphere of calm confidence throughout.

Her on-site presence has been invaluable. In 2024 she supported us solo; in 2025, as our numbers grew, she was joined by Sara, who was also fantastic. But Raquel’s leadership and composure set the tone. She seamlessly bridges the space between client and venue, protects the integrity of the experience, and ensures that I, as the person accountable for delivery, can focus on the content and people rather than operational firefighting.

It’s no exaggeration to say that our retreats would not have been as successful without her. She doesn’t just “plan events”, she acts as a true strategic partner. She brings judgement, discretion, resilience, and emotional intelligence in a way that is incredibly rare in this field.

Surf Office as a company has been a fantastic partner to us. But individuals like Giselle and, in particular, Raquel are what transform a well-run retreat into an outstanding one.

If you are fortunate enough to work with Raquel, whether as your planner/on-site lead/both, you are in exceptionally capable hands.

We’ve already hosted several offsites and worked with different providers in the past, but this one was truly outstanding. From the very first proposals, which were presented in a clear, thoughtful, and inspiring way, to the entire communication and the detailed planning throughout — everything was incredibly well thought through.

The whole team agreed: this was by far the best off-site we’ve ever had. Every little detail was taken care of, nothing felt rushed or overlooked, and the overall experience was just amazing. On top of that, the offers we received were price-wise better than anything we had seen elsewhere, which made the experience even more impressive.

This is the second time I've worked with Surf Office. As an avid planner, being able to hand over the reigns and trust that follow ups and considerations are being taken to our needs and how I like to plan retreats for my team means a lot. Both times, I've felt like they truly got to know us and what we like/don't like and helped accordingly. They're also open to feedback and flexible.

From start to finish Surf Office were brilliant in organising our corporate off site away day. Romane was incredible at helping us find appropriate accommodation and dinner venues for over 120 guests, and even helped us with after hours nightlife venue recommendations.

Throughout the entirety of the event, Romane was on call for anything we needed, and made sure everything was running smoothly.

We were super happy with how the whole weekend went, and cant thank Surf Office enough for all their hard work they put into making it a huge success.

Our team held our annual convening from the 20th to the 24th of October in Agvia, Turkey, and partnering with SurfOffice made the entire experience seamless. The location they recommended was exactly what we needed: comfortable, well-equipped for both work and collaboration, and situated in a stunning environment that encouraged relaxation and connection. Throughout the planning and the offsite itself, SurfOffice remained responsive and proactive, which took a huge amount of pressure off our internal team.

Alvaro was great and helped us review options in several countries before we chose Morocco, all with meticulous attention to our requirements.

Once we chose the location, Romane took over and coordinated everything. She provided very thoughtful suggestions to improve our stay and handled all the changes we needed to make during the planning process with patience.

Overall, it was a great conference!

One thing that could make the experience even better is having them interface directly with all attendees and address their individual requests.

Danielle, Giselle and the SurfOffice team were extremely cooperative, understanding and flexible to support my team’s 80-person offsite in Belgrade, Serbia.

From being patient with our company’s lengthy vendor due diligence and procurement process, to responding swiftly when an attendee misplaced her passport - everything went really smoothly.

Working with them took a huge load off our shoulders and their relationships with hotels/activities/venues also helped us secure good deals.

We recently organized our company offsite with SurfOffice, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning: The location selection and contract negotiations with Giselle, to the actual planning and execution of the offsite together with Elke, everything was handled exceptionally well.

Working with Elke was truly outstanding. She was incredibly proactive, always thinking several steps ahead, and responded extremely quickly to every question or change. She managed to get fast answers from all providers: from transport companies to hotels and local activity partners- and did so with a consistently friendly and professional attitude.

Thanks to her dedication, we had little organizational workload on our side, and we always felt fully supported. The offsite turned out to be an amazing experience for our whole team, and we’re certain we couldn’t have organized something like this on our own.
