Just as well that the wine was so well packed to survive its delivery! Quite clearly labelled Wine Flyer but the delivery driver decided to not throw it but heftily deliver the box on its side!

Service seemed a bit slower this time and arrived without any paperwork which is odd for WF. Have bought these wines before so no surprise. Quality is always good.

Dreadful delivery experience
e-mailing me at 0621 in the morning advising me that my delivery will be between 0747 and 0847 is totally unacceptable.
Offering options at that time of the morning, also unacceptable.
Of more concern
The box was left on the porch in the pouring rain and was soaked.
It could have been left on a strong wooden box in the porch, out of the rain.
The driver did not ring the doorbell. My wife just happened to up but no bell was rung and she didn’t hear any tap on the door. Lightly tapping on the door, as is the habit of some drivers is unacceptable when making a delivery at any time of the day, let alone that time of the morning when people are likely to still be asleep.
I have no safe place to leave a box nor do I have the option of leaving with a neighbour. They are elderly and could not cope with the weight of the box.
Even more of concern
The box had been opened. The sealing tape had been slit.
I’ll be taking this particular problem to the police. It is totally unacceptable for the driver or any other member of staff within the DPD chain to have opened the box.

I am sorry that your experience with DPD was not to standard, Ifyou send us some images of the item we will happily put a complaint in to investigate this. Email to contact.help@thewineflyer.co.uk
DPD have their own trust pilot page and it would beworth you putting this there as sadly this review only impacts The Wine Flyer service score and the primary concern was our external carrier.
Naturally we are responsible for the performance of our subcontractor and we sincerely apologise.
We would not be able to feed back on the delivery time as carriers have routes and schedules they adhere to and this would be the same for any company using them.
