Just received my Gradual tan and Self tan mousse. I don't think I can stomach actually applying them as they smell horrific. At least with other tanning lotions the initial smell is nice but this is acrid with such a stale tan smell like it's been on for hours. Maybe it has gone off but it is vile and not something I want on my skin.
Looking in to returning the order as I am so disappointed and the price is not cheap here in the UK!

I’ve been using this tanning mousse for quite a while now (I’m not a fan of gradual tans—they’re just not for me, as I can never seem to apply them properly without streaks).
This mousse is very easy to apply, especially if you use a mitt, which I highly recommend. It has a pleasant smell and develops into a lovely light tan, but you can leave it on longer if you prefer a deeper result. The colour is great—not orange at all—and it looks incredibly natural, which I love.
The only downside is that it does transfer, even when it feels dry. I’ve noticed marks on bedding and underwear, which is a bit frustrating. That said, I do understand that the guide colour is there to help with coverage during application.
Overall, despite the transfer, I really like this tan for its natural finish and ease of use.

First-Time User Review: Three Warriors Gradual Tan

I'm a first-timer to the Three Warriors brand, drawn in by the countless Sonia Kruger posts singing its praises. For context, I’m not a fan of fake tans—having tried and tested many over the years, I’ve often been left disappointed. That said, I thought I’d give this “gradual” option a go, hoping for something more subtle and natural.

First impressions were promising. The scent is lovely on application—fresh, not overpowering. The lotion itself is white, smooth, and glides on easily, leaving the skin lightly moisturised thanks to the oil extracts. No immediate sticky residue, which was a pleasant surprise.

However, after just two applications, I noticed streaks and patchiness on my skin. Even more frustratingly, there was visible tan transfer onto my bed sheets—despite the product being marketed as a gradual tan. To me, this behaves more like a standard fake tan disguised in gradual-tan packaging.

It might work for others, but in my experience, this wasn't the clean, subtle build-up I was expecting. For a product branded as “gradual,” the results were anything but.

One of my friends got me onto Three Warriors tan after I saw how natural the colours turned out. I had never tanned before but decided to give their Summer Essentials Bundle a go.

It was a super easy application and I love that it is all Australian made with some Tasmanian ingredients.

Certified organic so I knew it would be safe on my sensitive skin

Will be buying again

I don't normally write reviews but the Three Warriors products are so good I couldn't not. Their customer service was amazing, my parcel arrived on time and it is the best tan I have ever used. I also love the smell. Just recorded the Radiant Complexion Serum and I can't wait to try.

Great tanning products from Three Warriors! I recently discovered them via Facebook and placed a fairly large order, had absolutely no issues ordering from this site, product arrived quickly and well packaged!

These tanning products are all over Facebook & I was gullible enough to believe the hype & all the 5 star reviews.
The tube of Gradual Tan I received was 2/3 air & 1/3 lotion after I removed the foil seal. Very disappointing. It is advertised as not smelling like fake tan, but it does. It has the chemical-like smell most fake tans have, yet it is claimed to smell like vanilla & lime.
The tanning mousse was easy to apply & I left it on for 6 hours for a darker tan before washing off. My tan was a light/medium at best. Again it had a chemical-like smell but not as strong as the gradual tan.
I also found both products drying to my skin, yet it is supposedly stacked with moisturisers.
The face tan spray was very tacky after application & took a long time to dry. The effects of the product were light/medium.
I don’t know how Sonia Kruger achieved her colour - I doubt it was solely from the use of these products.
I tried to write a review on their website but could not find a link anywhere to do so. So I wrote a comment on Three Warriors Facebook page & was subsequently blocked.
This company is not trustworthy. Their claims are false & they do not allow any criticism of their product. Therefore reviews are all stacked in their favour rather than balanced.
I will attempt to return the products & update if I am successful in getting a refund.
