This game went from being fun to being one of the most disappointing apps I’ve ever downloaded. Almost everything costs money now—tiny items and packs are priced like luxury goods in a kids’ game. A couple of years ago, I spent hundreds of dollars building up my world, buying houses, items, and characters. After not playing for a while, ALL of it is gone. I didn’t delete the app, didn’t change phones, didn’t do anything—yet almost everything I paid for has been wiped. I tried resetting, reinstalling, logging in again, everything you can imagine, and NOTHING restores my purchases. The game essentially stole my money.
On top of that, the performance is awful. It lags constantly, crashes, and even when it does work, it randomly logs me out or resets the houses I spent hours building. Do you know how discouraging it is for a child (or parent) to spend money and time on something just to see it vanish?
I’ve even reached out to the developers multiple times for help, and they’ve ignored me every time. No replies, no fixes, no accountability.
This is a kids’ game, and yet it feels like a predatory cash grab. It’s heartbreaking to realize all the money I put into it is just gone, with zero support or fixes. Until the developers address these issues and stop erasing people’s purchases, I’d recommend staying FAR away from Toca Boca World.

Been contacting them for months due to my daughters purchases all disappearing. Not once have I had a reply, it’s been going on since the beginning of April!

The game might be fun for the kids but the add ons are ridiculous.

My daughter keeps asking for stuff for this game. Not $2 - $3 here or there but $30, $40 even $60 she has asked for. Every week it's something else.

It feels predatory to me the way this company goes after small children to extract egregious profits.

Lost all purchases and have seen that this has happened to many others over the years. Nothing being done about it at all it seems. Won't be repurchasing as it's a rip off.

Scam app. Do not use.
Made a total of £30 worth of purchases from the Google play on three separate bundles and these have disappeared from my account which my 9 year old daughter uses. I have contacted Toca Boca via their website form and received no reply or acknowledgement. I have also emailed them and again had no reply or even acknowledgement of the email. My daughter is really sad about the loss of content bundles but I am refusing to repurchase these. I have tried to contact Google play directly but have had no joy and have attempted to claim a refund which has been refused due to the purchases being made in 2023. I have tried all potential fixes such as clearing app and play store cache and logging out and then back in. This is not an isolated case and there are tons of reviews of other users having exactly the same issue. Would not use this app, and feel bad for my daughter as she loves the game and has no content now.

I think that the game is really fun and creative but I wish that the game could allow people to join there friends

Love this fun roleplay game! But I do think it's unfair for people who don't buy things and the game is boring and dull for them. There should more free things!

I would love the chance to place doors in the middle if rooms or wherever I want them. I would like customised doors for different packs or houses I own.

Toca Boca also, for some people, always resets and that gets rid of all the furniture. This is very irritating as it takes forever to build houses on this game. However, there is a way to keep your game safe so that it doesn't reset: Just put Toca Boca in the Gaming Hub and it it won't reset again.

Also I would like to comment on adding more stuff in the map, be a hospital or vet. Another free thing we should get is more proper phones and not the weird shape ones.

One more thing to recommend is about how many rooms are in a floor on a house that has been bought by a buyer in the game. It would be appriciated if these reccomendations could happen.

Overall, this game is really good and I enjoy doing roleplay on it, just some things that I would appreciate taking place! :)

Amazing and creative game! I love playing this when I'm free, and it is quite relaxing to play. I have lots of purchases in this game, probably spent $100 or over in CAD. I have a suggestion for a new pack. So, I really love all the nature characteristics in the game and packs that have them. The last pack I bought was the "Rooftop Garden Apartment", and was hoping you could make something just as similar that has like cottagey, outdoorsy vibes? I would love to see something like this in the shop! Keep up the great work!

I have spent over $100 on non-consumable content in Toca Boca. However, when I got a new device for my daughter and myself, I discovered that over 50+ purchased items were missing and the app was asking me to repurchase them.

Toca Boca used to have a “Restore Purchases” button, but it has been removed. After checking recent reviews and online discussions about “missing purchases,” it is clear that this is a recurring issue affecting many users.

I contacted Toca Boca support, and while they manually restored purchases on one device, this is not a permanent fix. Their system does not properly link non-consumable purchases to Google Play accounts, meaning if you get a new device, reset, or reinstall the app, you may lose everything again.

I will be escalating this to Google Play Support for a refund and further investigation, as this practice violates Google Play’s policies on non-consumable purchases, which should be permanently tied to the user’s account.

I do not recommend making purchases in this app until this issue is permanently fixed. If you experience missing purchases, contact Google Play customer support directly, as Toca Boca only applies temporary patches instead of resolving the root issue.

terrible ive spent 100s on toca boca then whenever i go into a house it kicks me out! please do fix this im very upset if you could fix this today that would be nice…

Throughout the years I have downloaded and paid for individual Toca boca worlds such as Toca pets, Toca office, Toca school, Toca neighbourhood, Toca city, Toca vacation and many more. At the time, I believe these individual apps where $5.36 SGD, meaning I spent at least 32 SGD. Toca world was introduced on the 18th of September 2018, and initially the idea was great as I could play with all my Toca purchases on one app. Since 2018, the app has been updated and does not allow for my previous app purchases (such as Toca pets) to count towards the new update, meaning i cannot restore purchases in the shop. If I was to re-download and pay for my previous collection, I would spend a total of $35 SGD again after already losing $32 SGD, this means my total spend on just Toca world would be $66 SGD. I am very upset as I haven’t received any response after several emails over the past month.

This is a predatory app that used to have a restore purchases option that made it super easy to get the packs back that you PAID for. They took that option away and will never respond to people who ask for help but state on their website that all you have to do is restore your purchases with said button. This is pure theft and they need to be held accountable for what they do. So many people are upset and they do not care.You had better update your website instead of making false claims, toca

I am not writing to complain about technical issues but it does sometimes when i go to post office all the shelves are empty except 2 items but i am writing because basically all of the places and houses and packs are with real money and my parents are'nt willing to pay which makes the game really boring for people who don't have packs. Other than that, it is a good game and i like the free gifts and updates. I would really apreciate it there were more free places and packs. Pleasssseeee!

I love playing Toca boca but it always kicks me out of what I’m doing and when I buy something off of it .its never there like what has happened to all of my clothes that I paid for on Toca boca .and I always save what I do but it all just disappears for me not to see it again I would like Toca boca to fix the problems because also take time in all of my buildings that I design and then it just disappears it also doesn’t work properly anymore like today about 3 hours ago I was playing Toca boba everything was there that I had made I saved it and I come back to it all being deleted and me not having any of the thing I had done .
