Great customer service, Zach was great

I have ordered a lot of tools and accessories from the Toolnut, I have been fortunate everything was always shipped very quickly, and was exactly what I ordered with no problems at all. This last order was the Milwaukee packout structured 10 inch tote. When I received it, I noticed that had a cut on the side of it. not a huge deal for a tool bag but then again I paid $260 for it. I thought they should exchange it. I spoke with Zack from customer service. He was very professional, and very quick to ship a new one to me! Absolutely great customer service! Thank you very much Zack for your professionalism and your due diligence. I will always continue to do business with the Toolnut!!

Slow processing and shipping after immediate payment

I liked the price on a Milwaukee Deal of the Day item, so I spun the wheel and ordered from Tool Nut early on 9/29. My Paypal account was debited right away, which can be proven, and TN does not dispute. That practice is counter to what has been stated on this website by the customer service supervisor who claims that accounts are not debited until the order ships. Currently my order still shows as Processing under my account on the TN website. I just chatted with someone in customer service who stated that I was debited immediately because the ordered item was in stock and they printed a shipping label on Friday. Hmmm....printing shipping labels and shipping are clearly not the same. It's mid-day Monday, not really too long after I placed the order, and I wouldn't have been too concerned if the supervisor hadn't publicly stated here that payments aren't taken until orders ship. Dubious. I was also unhappy with the fact that TN was offering a great deal on a Milwaukee Drill/Driver that appeared to be not in stock, thus no free shipping with my other order, until I finalized the order, and then miraculously the drill/driver was available for purchase. This on top of the fact that I too fell for the $10 off trick but couldn't get the discount applied. I only found out by reading reviews here that it does not applied to already discounted items. That's fair enough but the way the discount is dangled in your face, but then doesn't work, was sketchy AF in my opinion. I may amend my review if my order arrives promptly after today and everything is "as new". I'm only giving them 3 stars for the good price on the item I ordered, service and implied terms leave something to be desired.

If you are going to buy from Toolnut

If you are going to buy from Toolnut, make sure you are absolutely sure the item you are buying is a good product, because trying to return an item to Toolnut seems to be nearly impossible. Two months ago I bought some jobsite hearing protector/radio headphones that turned out to be very poor quality. I immediately tried to return them. Many emails later, I got a return authorization and I returned the item. Now, three more weeks have passed and I still don't have a refund. The best I can say is that they do communicate. But it is difficult to actually get them to issue a refund.

This company was great to work with and…

This company was great to work with and very fast shipping. I had ordered the wrong item and had to return it and order the correct item. The whole process was seamless and only took about a week from sending the original item back and getting the replacement at my door. They were very friendly, I highly recommend them.

Very slow and unresponsive-
I ordered a DeWalt sander on the 26th. My paypal account was charged immediately but as of today the 29th my order has not been shipped and I have heard nothing from Tool Nut. The live chat did not work, e mails were not responded to and finally a very nice gentleman answered the phone and told me he would try to get the order stopped on the line as he says it was going to be shipped today. Better communications and faster shipping would give a better customer experience.

New customer coupon valid only for full-priced items

Opened their page, there is a "GET AN INSTANT REWARD" place at the bottom of their page. Entered my email and got in my email a $10 off $150+ coupon with some links towards deals. Clicked on the items, added $150 worth of the merchandise, tried to check out. "Coupon is not valid". Talked to customer service, I am shown some fine print "Promotions and discounts cannot be combined". Very unpleasant and wasteful of customer's time.

Buyer Beware this is the worst company…

Buyer Beware this is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They are a middle man so if/when you have a problem with a product, they make you talk directly to the manufacturer, and shockingly the manufacturer can't do anything, because you purchased the item from tool nut. They try to string you along for days/weeks hoping you get sick of it and give up. Recently bought a woodpecker tool from them that I need to return and after a week of the back and forth game they told me to "sell it on ebay". These people are infuriating they don't care about their customers.

So buyer beware. This company is a joke. Their customer service is the absolute worst I have ever seen. They are a useless middle man. Buy your tools somewhere else.

I just received my woodpecker straightedge, Let me say that again straightedge. It came rattling in a box with no bubble wrap nothing to keep a straightedge straight. Love tool nut buy tools there all the time, but there shipping practices leave little to be desired for pics

Typical of FedEx, my order was dropped off somewhere other than my home. After waiting 2 weeks, I contacted TN and spoke with Zack. Within minutes he arranged for a replacement tool to be shipped to me by a competent carrier, verified the arrangement by email and apologized profusely for FE's failure. Top self CS !

ToolNut, just ship orders out the following day (or same day if ordered early enough) and a lot of your reviews would be different.

TOOL NUT BLOWS

i purchased a milwaukee rolling toolbox because it was $30 cheaper than on amazon. said it would ship by 9/16 still hadnt shipped on 9/19 i reached out and asked them why hadnt my stuff been shipped. They responded and said were sorry we wont have those for a few more weeeks. Thats not what they said THEY SAID THEY WOULD SHIP IT ON THE 9/16 NOT A MONTH AFTER THAT!!! so ii had them cancel the order and they took the 150 off my account as soon as i purchased the item and then they told me they didnt take any money but as soon as he canceled it i had that 150 in my account. dont trust them

Toolnut does not ship to Hawaii

Toolnut does not ship to Hawaii. Last I checked, Hawaii was part of the United States. Yes, shipping costs more, but Toolnut could charge for the incremental cost of shipping to Hawaii vs. the cost of free shipping to the continental US to the farthest state. That way Hawaii customers would still benefit from the free shipping discount that all continental US states get.

We are licensed Building , Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical contractor. So we purchase a lot of tools.
The people at Tool Nut are fantastic. It is refreshing to find a company that stands behind what they say. And their prices most of the time are less than Amzon.

Outstanding Customer Service

Notwithstanding the fact that I’m a RocklerPro and live within 10 minutes of a Rockler store, I chose to order a large number of Festool items from The Tool Nut to support a small family owned business. The order was processed and shipped quickly; however, one of the items arrived damaged during shipment to me. Rhiannon in Customer Service was outstanding in assisting me. Rarely have I received such competent and professional customer service. The Tool Nut will now be my go to online shopping store, thanks to Rhiannon.

Not worth the gamble...

I have ordered from Toolnut a number of times. On one or two occasions they provided reasonably good service, but with the majority of my orders they just left me waiting for an excessive period of time, with no communication whatsoever. They have a nice website, with great selection, easy ordering and some good prices / specials. That's the good part. Now, here's what happens when you order: You will either be notified in a few days that your item shipped and you will then receive what you ordered quickly after that OR you will hear absolutely nothing for months and when you check the order status it just remains pending. You will ultimately get what you ordered but it will take months. If you want to get tools for a job you plan to do next year, then order from ToolNut, but if you need to do the job next week, do not be tempted by their prices or sales, they will more than likely let you down.

Good prices on quality products

Good prices on quality products, but I got ripped off.
Ordered what was described as a hammer drill/driver, 1/4 inch impact driver, 2 batteries, charger and 3/8 inch ratchet. Got all but the ratchet. Don't know if it's a misprint or what, but I was expecting all 3 tools and only getting 2 kinda p****d me off.

Edit: After complaining to the company and commenting on here I got a reply from John who explained it was a mix up on their part. The picture and ad had been changed, but not the description. Since the ratchet was listed in the description John is sending one.
