Tech was ok for the time - support is horrific - company shrouded in mystery
When I signed up for this program, I was interested in writing and illustrating a book. The writing was good, as long as I didn't care about duplicative scenes through out the chapters and character consistency. I let the first renewal go by, thinking they would improve some because assistive writing was basically in infancy at that point. I lost interest and thought I had cancelled, but the cancellation wasn't complete or I forgot, not sure which one.
On July 20th, I was charged a renewal fee unexpectedly. I wrote on July 21st, within the 3 day window of satisfaction, and got no response. I gave them a few days and, with no response, wrote to them via the website. Still no response. Today, August 3rd, I wrote to them again with a final demand.
The cloaked website registration should have been a clue for me that the owner is shady AF. Probably some techy teen in his grandma's basement raking in millions using AI technology in a non-conformed way.
Regardless, I'm going to have my bank reverse the charges tomorrow if I don't hear from them, then put in a formal complaint to the BBB.

Be prepared to lose EVERYTHING all the time
It's trash.
Yeah, the ai is good, but WHAT'S THE POINT if you LITERALLY can't save your work???
I've lost stories so many times because it's 100% web based with NO save function.
