I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recurring issues I experience with your billing process, particularly the frequent and unjustified inflation of parcel charges. It is standard practice that parcel fees are calculated based on actual weight in kilograms. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience with your service.
Your staff consistently charge based on carton dimensions rather than actual weight, resulting in significantly higher fees. This practice is unacceptable, misleading, and raises serious concerns about transparency and fairness.
For example, yesterday, Wednesday 18th March 2026, my sister took a parcel to your Lekki office, Lagos, Nigeria. The parcel weighed 2.75kg, yet she was instructed to pay for 4.98kg — an inflated difference of 2.23kg. I consider this practice fraudulent, and I am formally requesting a refund of the excess amount charged. The DHL Shipment number is 6630129166.
If management fails to address this matter promptly and appropriately, I will have no choice but to escalate this issue beyond the capacity of Topship.
I expect your swift action and a refund of the inflated charges.
