Absolutely disgrace, it’s as simple as that.
I placed an order on the 23rd December. Due to Christmas, I expected the vinyl would be delivered later than scheduled which was absolutely fine by me.
Placed orders elsewhere with other vinyl stores/sites even after this date. They were shipped within a reasonable time frame and I’ve received them.
17 days later, my order with Townsend Music has still not been delivered.
After numerous of emails which went unanswered over numerous of days. I finally received an email from Townsend today 08/01/2024.
They’ve not even shipped my item yet! Absolutely disgraceful.
On top of that, they are not even in a rush to send it to me as the email stated -

This order shows that this is currently in processing for dispatch. Our team are working around the clock to have all orders sent out as soon as possible, and you will receive a dispatch confirmation email once this is posted

Seriously, really consider where you purchase your vinyl’s from.

Scammers. Fake. Make page look like new model army site. Take money. Don't deliver or respond. AVOID.

Ordered vinyl/CD which all came in promptly! First time ordering over seas. Super happy with my purchase

Pre-ordered LP love lines album package which included Vinyl, CD and signed print. All items listed on invoice but when I opened package, no signed print! Contacted them via Facebook messenger. They apparently resent signed print but nothing has arrived. I messaged again and they just dismissed the issue and told me no more stock to resend again!! Very disappointed, will never order from them again!!! The signed print package was the very reason I preordered as an ‘exclusive’ package!!!! Absolutely disgusting to take money and then don’t actually deliver!!!

I ordered the Cat Stevens "king of a land T shirt" weeks ago and was advised medium size to follow.

Despite constant chasing still no delivery.
How come a product launched to coincide with the new Cd release does not have stock of such a common size.
i am not happy and have requested a full refund.

Very expensive packaging for a terrible service. Consistently send out non vinyl items in inappropriate cheap packaging. Have had several issues over the years and the most recent one shows that some things never change.

Absolut customer unfriendly company!
In case of lost products they didn't answer back.
Noone at this company is helpful!

They dispatched a bonus CD separately to my main order. The envelope was empty. And they didn't have any more of the bonus CDs to send me. They were offering to refund the 85cents for the bonus CD - I told them to cancel my full order. At least they did that.

Ordered a Porcupine Tree shirt back in September. Three months go by without a status update, so I email them. "We're still working on it, sorry." Sure, this is possibly their last tour, I can understand some stock issues. It's now six months past and I emailed their support about the shirt whose status hasn't changed at all. I was told they were still chasing the supplier, and a few minutes later received another email saying my order was canceled. I didn't ask for or suggest this. When I asked about it, they said the item was no longer in stock.

Support replies promptly but has no useful information, ever, and would just tell me to look at the status of the order because that had the most accurate information. Six months of waiting for a shirt that turned out to be out of stock, and I'm sure these very fine people would have happily held onto my money forever if I never contacted them about it.

On the bright side, they were very quick to send the refund, though that didn't include the "currency conversion fee" my bank charged me, so I still ended up paying money and receiving nothing.

Do not buy from this company.

They take your money without stating whether the item is actually in stock. If not, then you have literally no idea if it will ever be sent (as they await stock from their supplier......).
Support also useless when you contact them and not exactly customer focussed.

Worst service I've had to deal with. Item never delivered and and no help from them at all in resolving the issue. Theft at the highest order

Terribly poor, item had not been shipped at all. After a claim, they sent out another, cheaper item. Now I have to go through a lot of trouble to get my money back. They want me to pay for the return of the wrong item Townsend sent. No communication at all, would really make a difference if they put effort in pro-active communication.
Not recommended whatsoever.

I order a bundle that came with a cd a vinyl and a signed print the signed print never arrive I sent them an email 3 times and they replied once saying that I didn’t order it when I no full well I did as I would not have paid for the bundle they have now emailed saying that they were out of stock of the print in that case they should have contact me to confirm I’m still happy to place the order which I most definitely wouldn’t have please do not use this company use respectable retailer they cares for customers not one that misleads lied and took my money

Ordered item 4th Dec for Christmas present, rang them 21st Dec, as gave them benefit of the doubt Surprise , surprise not been dispatched, no updates at all. 3 DM's unanswered asked could be put on overnight as way of little compensation.Recevied email 6pm 48 hour will probably now hit postal action.Never again

I ordered a Limited-edition blue vinyl and was sent a black copy, told sorry we sent the wrong one but tough.
I have had problems with the store many times, not sure why I go back to them. shocking customer service.

The all important signed art card is missing from the delivery. No cooperation on conflict solution.
Avoid at all costs.

Every transaction over the last 60 days has been screwed up. 100%.
Waste of time and money. Avoid!
They are extremely slow to refund, I had to get visa involved.

Last year I placed an online order at Townsend Music. According to the new IOSS rules, TM charged me the portuguese VAT rate. However, the commercial invoice TM attached to the package they sent me was not the original one. It didn't mention their IOSS number nor the VAT they had charged me. It even had a different value and a different date. So when it got here, I had to pay - again - the VAT and, on top of that, a disbursement fee. An extra amount of €52,14. Had they sent the correct invoice with the appropriate information I wouldn't have been charged anything at all. So one would think they would take responsibility for they mistake, right? Wrong! I sent them several e-mails explaining what had happened and they have just royally ignored me. If you charge the respective VAT to EU customers, then it is your responsibility to send the orders with the correct invoice and the necessary data. So if you're a EU customer, avoid this store like the plague. Unless you don't mind being charged twice, that is.

I ordered and paid for a CD in November 2021. Every communication with the company was initiated by me, including my request for a refund which I sent today. What a surprise...the CD they were 'waiting to be back in stock' is readily available on Amazon and will be with me tomorrow. I always prefer to do business with small independent companies but will never deal with this outfit again.

Pre-ordered the Finn LP with limited edition signed print approx. two months before release. Package arrives with LP but no signed print. Have contacted them but they can't even be bothered to reply so had to escalate to Paypal. Absolutely abysmal customer service from Townsend - last time I ever buy anything from them.
