Refrigerated food item (pesto) arrived without cold packaging and with over a week of travel, after company confirmed cold packaging would be used in shipment prior to purchase. Yes, I attempted to confirm before shelling out over $100. It took over two weeks to get the company's painfully slow customer service to authorize a refund, only after I was directed to return the item (which presumably, worryingly, was going to be re-sold to some unknowing person??). They would not acknowledge that they had made an error and in fact asserted the item didn't have to be refrigerated, despite the manufacturer of the item confirming that all of their products must be refrigerated! Was very sad not to be able to get the much desired product safely, as it isn't sold in my area, and so frustrated with their customer service. The only grace was actually getting my refund.
