Extremely pleased with the tent
So pleased with my new Gidleigh 5 man tent. Well priced (on offer) and delivered next day for a very reasonable fee. Tent itself is perfect as an upgrade to a secondhand pole tent. As the only adult travelling with two young children, this tent is quick and easy to set up. Darkened bedrooms helped for better bedtimes and later starts in the morning and the living space plus canopy gave us plenty of space to enjoy the tent on rainy days. Extremely pleased with my purchase and so happy I took the plunge.

Customer care was good
Customer care was good. I ordered a double self-inflating mattress and something went wrong with the delivery. It got sent back without me ever seeing it. But Trail apologised and offered me my money back or to resend the mattress by express delivery ( which I accepted). Very happy with the item when it did arrive.

We bought the Brazen 6-man Air Tent and it’s brilliant. Very strong and well made and performed perfectly for our family holiday in France. We are a family of 4 and it worked perfectly with plenty of room in the two sleeping areas and covered porch. The blackout in the sleeping area is great and there is also lots of good vents for aeration, which helped in the French summer heatwave. The pegs and guy ropes are very strong and good quality and a reflection of the overall quality. We live in Devon ourselves and it’s especially nice to support a local independent company that creates such high quality products. We bought 4 of their camping chairs, lightweight table, and 4 inflatable mats too, which are all great. Highly recommend and I won’t look elsewhere.

I purchased quite a few items for a festival and they didn’t disappoint! All well packaged and arrived as promised! Excellent quality and a few were reduced so even more of a bargain.

Poor customer service
Edit update. Return process is also painful! I returned my £200 tent on 26 /8/2026 . Apart from a small receipt from the Evri/ post office, I have no paper trail or digital trail to say I have returned the tent. I have tracked the parcel through Evri who are not able to confirm where the parcel is! I don’t know if it is still in transit or if it is received at the returns depot. The parcel has been in transit for at least eight working days. in today’s day and age of technology, this company and its courier service should be better than this! In the meantime I’m £200 down whilst awaiting for Evri & Trail to get their act together!
Really letdown by this company. They sent the wrong tent and I was left without enough time to swap for the correct tent. I offered to place a new order while the return was made as long as they could guarantee I was going to receive the correct tent. Unfortunately, I was told there could be no guarantee and the customer service operative was unwilling to speak to the warehouse or let me speak to a more senior manager. I’m really sorry but you have lost my business on this occasion! I just couldn’t risk going camping with the wrong tent.
