The wheels on my case are completely useless after only a handful of trips. The case either wheels off to the side or the wheels don’t work and you have to drag the suitcase along the floor or pick it up and carry it. According to trip this isn’t a material flaw or a manufacturing default so it’s not covered under their guarantee - a clear sign the products are not made to last and the guarantee is a fake marketing ploy. Do not buy from Tripp if you want a suitcase that will last the test of time

I recently bought a large suitcase directly from Tripp. Unfortunatly both zipper pullys are broken. Tripp claim they offer a 5 year warrenty but when you have an issue, they blame baggage handlers for the damage and therfore its not covered. Anything can be blamed to the baggage handlers. Its a useless warrenty. Dont buy anything from Tripp. Poor quality, no warrenty!

I purchased a suitcase just to have incase the one I used failed.
They come with 5 year guarantee.
I decided it get it out the wrapper after 3 years.
I noticed the mesh had frayed.
Contacting Tripp they kept insisting I have used and over filled it.
I sent photos to them and it was blatantly obvious it was still new and unused.
Tripp did not want to know so my response is I will not recognise Tripp and will publicise the negativity from this unprofessional company.
If anyone wants a brand new case unused your welcome ..you pay courier.

Problem with handle after 2 uses . Tripp suggested it was probably due to baggage handling . Customer Service very helpful and replaced the bag as a good will gesture . Very happy with the way they responded .

I bought a suitcase from Tripp I have only been on free trips abroad now as a crack in the side. I got in contact with tripp customer care. Sent photos they told me it was because of baggage handlers. I asked where a suitcase is tested properly they did not reply. I would not buy a suitcase from this company. £65. I’ve spent and wasted look around for better.

Suitcase cost 75£ but lasted only two trips and developed a big crack.
Their warranty doesn't cover cracks.

Very disappointing service.
I've order 3 suitcase and 1 of them was delivered, apparently to my neighbour and the proof of delivery was my front door and bins.
Suitcase was nowhere to be found and tripp take no responsibility and show lack of interest in my lost parcel.
The communication from start to finish, is pretty much no existence, I'm likely to have better service from AI or a robot!
Cut a long story short!!! DPD take no responsibility either, and I'm left out of pocket and Tripp could not care!
Just to remind Tripp, I had shopped with them and not DPD and although this can be taken further with the police as dpd recommended, feels ethical wrong to contact the police for a lost suitcase when they have more important things to take care of!
Disgusting and disappointing customer services!!!!

Recently we were travelling upwards on the moving escalator at a train station, the suitcase handle came off in my hand, the suitcase fell backwards, fortunately it was caught by my partner, before it fell on someone behind us. As we were on a flight out of the UK, we had to dispose of the handle at the airport. The remaining part of the out going and return journey, we had to bend down to move the suitcase when wheeling. As you can imagine this was a great inconvenience for us for the duration of our holiday.
I contacted Tripp, thinking it was still under guarantee, they advised me, I had purchased the suitcase in Jan 2020, (then COVID hit, national lockdown) I had thought I purchased later as I never used the suitcase until 2022. Tripp advised the 5 year guarantee was up on Jan 2025, NO Exceptions. Poor service by Tripp, avoid at all costs!

Would give minus stars if possible. First attempt at ordering and paying next day delivery, DPD didn't even attempt at all, took a photo of my neighbours postbox. Following day refused to hand over my delivery without a pin that was not even required. DPD had decided to lump my parcel with a neighbours PHONE delivery that required a pin and therefore wouldn't hand over until my neighbour (who was on holiday) came back and gave a pin despite the 2 parcels being for different addresses and for different people. Raised as an issue with tripp as I needed the suitcase urgently and was refunded my next day delivery and then the full order as it wasn't going to get to me in time at this point. Offered me 20% "discount" refunded to me if I decided to place another order. Was left with 1 day to source another case, whilst also working causing all kinds of stress. Was told that tripp were sorry and that feedback had been provided to dpd so there wouldn't be another issue again. Fast forward less than 2 weeks and I decide to take them up on their offer and order the case again for my next holiday, again paying next day, with the view of tripp honouring the 20% money back to me. Once again delivery hasn't happened. It hasn't even been scanned with dpd over 24 hours later and yet it should be with me now. Contacted tripp to be told I could again have my next day delivery fee refunded as I wasn't going to receive my order today after all. Also not had any response to the email they requested I send about being given 20% back to me off my order as promised. Was promised a call back today by 5pm and I requested the order not be cancelled until 5pm as I was still hoping to receive it. No phone call. No order. Just a lousy email again apologising and having the cheek to refund my next day delivery fee (that was already due anyway) and 20% back to me (that was already due anyway) so no actual goodwill or genuine care at all for all the hassle and inconvenience caused TWO times in TWO weeks to THE SAME CUSTOMER. Don't bother ordering, they cannot fulfil your order. They do not care about customers. They use incompetent people to (not) deliver and when you don't receive your order, will say it takes 6 days for a response from dpd so if you need a case urgently, you'll be left with nothing and no care from tripp. To even offer me the exact same "goodwill" that I was already entitled to anyway based on the first terrible experience is absolutely shocking. There is no goodwill whatsoever for this time or the fact it's happened TWICE. If you genuinely need a suitcase, please don't waste your money on this shambles of a company as there is no such thing here as good customer service or customer satisfaction. Two orders in two weeks and both failed. Maybe time for tripp to choose a company competent enough to fulfil the only job they have, delivering. And then work on valuing customers, especially ones that have already been failed before. Disgusting.

Trying to resolve any issue with wheels jamming on trip case. Big sell is 5 year warranty!!! Doubt it very much, case used less than 6 times, just reading rest of reviews, poor customer service, certainly won’t be buying again. Avoid!!!

We bought a pair of Tripp Chic medium "hard shell" suitcases in April, to replace a pair of soft shell suitcases that had served us extremely well over the past 10 years but were beginning to look their age.
What a mistake we have made.
After their 1st trip a week ago both cases came back looking like that were years old, instead of just weeks, but mine had also suffered damage which is quite obviously from the fact that these cases are not "hard shell" but made from quite soft polypropylene.
Tripp customer services refuse to acknowledge that the case has simply suffered from being easily compressed, despite me sending video evidence of how easily it is, and have repeatedly pushed me down the line of making a complaint against the airline baggage handlers.
As far as I am concerned these cases are quite evidently "not fit for purpose" and I ought to be entitled to a full refund under the terms of the 2015 Consumer Rights Act.
Accordingly, I would advise anyone to buy an alternative product, as I will certainly be doing.

Why did I buy another of these? The first one’s extendable handle jammed and the front pocket zip broke. I assumed this was maybe a one off shoddy one so bought another direct from Tripp. It took an age to arrive (lots of messages about “quality control” etc which I presume meant distribution problems) but now it has arrived, the balance is all wrong - with a full case and extended handle, you have to hold on to it otherwise it falls over, however hard I try to repack it to even out the balance. I’m tired of apologising to fellow passengers as it falls against them or threatens to fall down the escalators. First time of using it, the scuff deflector caught on a London Underground step and literally ripped off. I have no choice but to start again and buy a proper case from a more dependable brand.
14/07 I cannot see where to respond to below so adding to my original complaint. I was encouraged to send details to customer services so I did send through the Order Number and full details to the Customer Support team. I was asked for photographs (sent), I also sent a video of the case falling over, I was then asked for additional photograps (which I sent) but was then told that there is nothing wrong with the case and I should pack it more carefully and I should not use the external zippered lap top sized section for putting a laptop in. The whole point of this 'flap' is surely to put a laptop in so that you can remove it easily when going through airport security? So basically Tripp put the blame for a case that is not fit for purpose back on me. I stand by everything I said in my initial review and look forward to replacing this poor quality attempt at a case with a better quality product.

I bought a large watermelon hardbodied case in 2023. I’ve only used it 3 times and not over packed and inner zipper has fell off. Tripp said this doesn’t come under their 5 year guarantee. Might as well gone to Primark and bought one of their hardbodied cases at a fraction of the price.

I purchased a set of four Tripp Retro Navy cases, and I’m very disappointed with the quality. The blue coating comes off far too easily—just brushing against a surface leaves unsightly white marks that make the cases look cheap. This appears to be a known issue, as many other customers have mentioned the same problem in reviews. Despite this, Tripp has chosen not to address it. When I contacted customer service, they were dismissive and offered no resolution. I’ve been a loyal Tripp customer for 15–20 years, but after this experience, I won’t be buying from them again.

I have a small crack in the casing of my Tripp suitcase. It was not caused by the airline or baggage handlers as Tripp are trying to blame. They would rather blame someone else than honour their 5 year gurantee
I notice many other customers have had the same issue and I like many will never buy a Tripp suitcase again!

We've had 2 tripp Suitcases for the last 9 years which were excellent however one of the wheels has now broken. We bought 2 new tripp cases approximately 3 months ago, we have just come back from the first holiday using these new cases and one has a slit in it at the bottom. I rang the shop to see if this could be replaced however was advised slits are not covered by the manufacturers guarantee. I definitely won't be buying any more Tripp Suitcases, just thought I'd make people aware of this fact in case you're not aware of this.
