Very good gym

Not a bad gym but over subscribed but I suppose that’s what you get when the membership is cheap.

Gym is always clean and range of machines is good.

I find the booking system for classes difficult to work out which is why I haven’t booked any yet. It would also be good to have some hit classes in the morning at 6.

Great equipment plenty of it staff are friendly only negative is there is only one dead lift platform and it’s always being used. But the other equipment makes up for it.

Music is just too loud. I have my earphones in on full volume and can still hear their music clearly.

Don't do coffee in reception anymore but everything else is good

There is a man that does personal training (not sure on his name) who is very rude and makes me and my friend feel uncomfortable. He has made a few comments trying to pressure us into buying his personal training sessions.

Very good gym, well equipped and friendly. Always clean and tidy, very good value for money. Only niggles would be music could do with some 80’s and closing at 8pm on a weekend is too early.

I have been attending TruGym in Chatham for a few months now. Recently, I had my bag taken out of a locker in the changing room. I did not purchase a padlock as I did not have the money. I fully accept that the responsibility of my own belongings is my own, however, the way the situation was handled was quite upsetting. The belongings in the bag were very much important; containing my photographic ID, wallet, house keys, work pass and a few other items that put me in severe difficulty losing. I immediately reported this to a member of staff, who stated that the CCTV could be reviewed after the weekend by a manager. I gave my personal details but did not receive a reply. I came back later on to check if there have been any updates, I was then told that they were not able to review the tapes as they were not aware of the time scale; I provided this to the member of staff again. The following day, when returning to the gym I was told that CCTV was not working that day and nothing could be done. It was simply left at that. I was not after a compensation or empathy, I simply wanted for someone to care about the fact that a member of the gym found it acceptable to simply walk away with someone else's bag. I messaged a manager through the website and did not receive a response. I explained that the backlash of the situation was severe and did not wish for this to happen to anyone else; suffering severe depression and anxiety and a history of eating disorders, I found the gym to be the one place where I was able to release the anxiety and something to look forward to, whereas now the same place is making the issue worse, as I am not in a position to cancel the membership due to the contract in place and this no longer feels like a place of safe minds-space for me. .

Already too busy at peak times and recruiting for new members at local university.
AC is not good enough during Summer months. Like a sauna.

Great equipment and when broken is fixed quickly.
Friendly staff always happy to help.

I've always felt so welcome at TruGym and enjoy making my daily trips. The staff and instructors are lovely and always happy to help. Billie, Ada, Abs and Stephanie have always been adaptive in their classes and either challenged me further, allowed me to adapt or continue workouts as well as provided hints and tips for certain areas. I've recommend TruGym to so many friends and colleagues as well as tried numerous classes and found that I've enjoyed/challenged myself in each one. The only area of improvement I can think of would be ensuring there is enough roll in the spin room to wipe down our bikes afterwards instead of having to hunt for some in the gym floor.

Overall, a good experience. Excellent range of equipment in a relaxed and clean environment. A nice bunch of people. Great vibe and location.

Two improvements:

Ensure that showers are working all the time.
Install a proper assessment room for trainers to review the progress of their clients.

Great gym, great value for money, I rarely have to wait for any equipment. Always clean and tidy. Everything you need in a gym.

Generally excellent facilties and equipment though can be a bit busy at times. Staff are mostly friendly and it's well worth a visit.

Gym with superb classes included in monthly cost!

A nice gym and I enjoy my early morning workouts. A couple of points - the changing rooms are often dirty due to disrespectful members and the showers could be set on a longer timer as they are not great.

When the equipment is broken it takes a long time for it to be fixed.
