This experience have been absolutely amazing, I was scared and anxious to when I first came in because I was a solo traveler but when I came and introduced myself to Milin and the rest of the group, it felt so much better and comfortable , I had a great time and meet great people, I would like to come back , milin was great and she knew what she was doing at all times. For anyone who is scared of going because they will be doing it alone , I’m recommending you to do it regardless even if you are scared because when you get here you will think , why was I even scared in the first place.

I had an incredible experience on the Yucatan 7 Day Loop in Mexico. From the crystal blue waters of Isle Holbox to the charming streets of Mérida, this whistle stop tour covers a lot of Yucatan. Our tour guide Alejandro (Tlaxqui) was truly exceptional. His knowledge of Mexico, the Mayans and the ecology was really impressive and he was very charming, friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to get to know each and every one of us and would go out of his way to keep us happy. My only complaint about the tour would be the food. As a food blogger and massive foodie, the restaurants we were brought to were often quite expensive, touristy and poor quality. It is such a shame considering Mexican food is UNESCO recognised. We also had to pay for this food. The accommodation was fine. Some hotels were quite basic, with lack of running water in one. When we looked up the accomm they were often quite cheap (50e for a double room) leading me to believe Tru Travels are making quite a profit from this tour! 7 Day tour is also misleading as really it is 5 days, the first night is a dinner (that you have to pay for) and the last day is just going home.

Overall I had a blast, Alejandro was exceptional and we covered a lot in the week!

I recently joined the Bali Backpacker 12-day tour, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. From the very beginning, the booking process was simple and straightforward, and the trip itself was excellent value for money. The admin team were always quick to respond and incredibly helpful whenever I had questions, which made the whole experience stress-free from the start.

This was the first Bali Backpacker tour of its kind, and based on my experience, I have no doubt it will continue to be a huge success. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and perfectly balanced, covering all the must-see highlights of Bali while still allowing time to relax and take everything in. The accommodation, activities, and transport were all good quality throughout the trip.

One of my personal highlights was visiting Ubud, especially the local cooking class, which was such a fun and authentic experience. I also really appreciated having free time built into most days, giving us the flexibility to explore on our own or opt out of activities if we needed a rest.

What truly made this trip unforgettable, though, was our tour guide, Azri. From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in great hands. Azri is incredibly kind, approachable, and always willing to help with anything, big or small. He brought such a positive energy to the group and made everyone feel comfortable and included.

He’s also great fun—whether it was nights out, dancing, or even karaoke, he was always up for a laugh (and not too bad on the mic either!). At the same time, he was always professional, making sure everyone felt safe, supported, and looked after at all times.

With years of experience guiding tours around Indonesia, Azri’s knowledge really shines through in his recommendations and the way he handles every situation with ease. You can genuinely tell he loves what he does, and that passion makes a huge difference to the overall experience.

If you’re lucky enough to have Azri as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable trip filled with laughter, great memories, and amazing experiences.

I went on the Legend of Japan 12 Day Trip with Trutravels (/GalsWhoTravel) 2nd-13th April 2026, with Morgan as our guide.

Firstly, the itinerary is PACKED in the best way. We got to see lots of temples, take part in Japanese culture and understand so much more about the history of this beautiful country. I loved the sushi making workshop and temple stay in particular.

We stayed in pretty decent accommodation for the whole trip- as someone with some travel anxiety and previous experience with bedbugs in European hostels, this was greatly appreciated!

Having done a couple of group tours previously, I have definitely found the guide you have can make or break the tour. On this one, I had the joy of having Morgan for our guide. From the moment we met him, Morgan was always cheerful and approachable, giving great suggestions for things to do and see to avoid some of the tourist traps and helping to translate where needed. He was incredibly informative, giving us lots of fascinating insight on history and culture in Japan and making the trip a lot of fun! But above all else, he was incredibly kind- a few of the people on our tour had (unavoidable!) issues, including baggage that did not arrive in time (Morgan phoned the Japanese handlers multiple times to get the bags back to her), a lost phone (Morgan helped locate it and get it posted back) and a stomach bug (Morgan helped locate pharmacies, brought medicine/food back, checked throughout the day via text to ensure they were okay and helped find alternative activities). Without a doubt, Morgan is the best guide I have had on any group tour. As someone who has previously suffered a lot with travel anxiety, I felt very safe and supported throughout the trip.

All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this tour!

I went on the 12 day legends of Japan and our guide was called Morgan and he was absolutely fantastic. Morgan is a gentleman and made sure everyone in the group was happy and safe at all times. It is very evident that he is passionate about his job and is very well versed in the history and culture of Japan. I felt I got to see so much more because of this tour rather than if I had come here on my own. 10/10 experience!!

I’ve just done the 13 day India trip with Tru. My group leader Shivy was amazing! He always made sure we were where we needed to be on time and had lots of knowledge about India. Would definitely recommend!

I had an amazing time on the 13 day India Uncovered tour in India. The itinerary was fantastic and covered all the major sites in Rajasthan, plus some great extras! The whole experience was made even better by our fantastic guide Shivy, he was so knowledgeable and organised, made everything flow effortlessly, and was also so much fun! I felt safe and supported travelling through India with Tru Travels, I also appreciated how many included activities and meals there were in the price, while still having a great variety of optional extras. The accommodation was great and our transport was very comfortable with a safe and friendly driver and assistant. Highly recommend this tour!

I did the India uncovered tour and had Shivy as our Tour guide. This tour exceeded my expectations and I loved every second of it. The organisation of the tour was perfect and Shivy was so professional, knowledgeable and fun to be around which made the tour even better. I just completed the India tour with Shivy and it was an incredible experience. India is a beautiful country and personally Udaipur and Ranthambhore were stand out locations.I am so grateful to have got to experience and learn so much about the culture, history and people of India and Rajasthan and this wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing knowledge of Shivy and his encouragement to always ask questions. Our coach journeys and activities were always full of giggles and we were always thoroughly entertained.

The whole trip was seamless and flowed so nicely all thanks to Shivy’s impeccable organisation and connections. He went above and beyond for us all and would frequently go out of his way to check up on us, I get an item behind in one of the hotels and he organised it to be forwarded to the next hotel so quickly. We were always provided with plenty of recommendations for everything from food, shopping, extra activities, no matter the request Shivy always have a plethora of information to help.

I highly recommend booking India as your next trip and I am so eager to return and get to see even more of this beautiful country!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My first trip to India couldn’t have been any better. Shivvy is the perfect guide, he had everything planned perfectly, any issues would be solved, questions answered, pictures taken and dance moves on show 🕺🏻 he helped me create countless unforgettable memories that will forever stay with me. As well as having a perfect group filled with special people that will always be remembered!

Following on from doing the incredible Australia tour last year, I’m happy to share that the India tour with Tru Travels was also amazing! We’re coming to the end of such a great 2 weeks. We got lucky having such a great group (16 of us). Our guide Shivy ensured the trip ran smoothly, with preplanning for every scenario, hours and hours of knowledge to fill the bus journeys, and a great sense of humour along with great moves on the dance floor! Our driver Nihal could 3 point turn the bus anywhere in full traffic - serious skills!
The trip had a good balance of site seeing and planned activities to balance out the longer travel days. Overall it’s been brilliant, now to decide on where to go next.

I had the best experience on the 10 day Cambodia Explorer and couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone thinking of doing a Cambodia Tour. The whole aspect of the tour was well thought out and extremely well organised. Had a great variation of activities within the itinerary and loved being able to see more of Cambodia than you would travelling solo. Also enjoyed the opportunity of free time throughout as well as group activities and evenings. Hul the tour guide was the honestly the best person ever. Always so accommodating, welcoming and cheerful and cares so much about showing us a true Cambodian experience. He has so much pride in his job and it’s very evident in everything he does. He always put our needs and wants as his top priority and always tried to accommodate everyone in the group. I don’t think I would’ve loved the tour as much as I did if it wasn’t for Hul bringing the vibes! All other aspects of the tour such as accommodation and transport were always of a high standard. Twin share hotel rooms were always good condition and transport ways on time, and accommodated the whole group. Overall this was the best experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of doing the Cambodia explorer.

Had such an amazing time on the Cambodia tour with trutravels. Huge shout out to our tour guide Hul who made the whole experience so much better by bringing such positive energy and constantly putting a smile on everyone’s faces. It was really insightful being able to explore not just city and beach life but also the more rural countryside areas of Cambodia aswell. One of these moments being dinner at Hul’s family home, which was such a welcoming thing to include. Couldn’t fault any of my experiences on the tour both the people and the activities were great. Hul made the trip so much better by making us laugh all the time and always making sure everyone was having a great time. Thank you Hul!

Our tour guide was Hul who was amazing from the start to the finish! He was so funny, kind and caring and made the whole experience as brilliant as it was! He is also so knowledgeable about his country and everything was so interesting! Going to his home was also a true highlight of the trip! He really treated us all like his family 🤍 Everything was so organised and we didn’t have to think or worry about a single thing , Hul had it all organised! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I did the 8 day Philippines East tour. It was so much fun and super well organised. Alvin was an awesome guide - so kind, helpful and fun to be around. I will definitely recommend Tru Travels to friends and am planning on travelling with them again.

My experience with tru travels in the Philippines was nothing other than a dream. All thanks to our amazing tour guide, Alvin Portes. Alvin always created a warm and welcoming atmosphere and insured that everyone always felt comfortable and included. He always prioritised our individual wants and needs, creating everyone’s own personal experience in the philippines, ensuring that our memories will last a life time. As for Alvin himself, I couldn’t be more greatful that Ive had the privilege of knowing him and although we have only known him for 17 days, it feels like we have known eachother for a life time. He is truly one of the kindest, most thoughtful and funniest people that I have ever met and I will cherish our precious time with him forever. We have often been asking eachother what our highlight of our trip was and honestly my highlight was getting to spend every day with him and the other amazing people that I have met on my tour.
