My company has been hosting our website…
My company has been hosting our website and e-mails with TsoHost for a number of years, but the service has gone downhill lately. The support system is now slow at the best of times. However, last week when they were migrating our services to a new system our website and e-mails have been down and completely unusable. Our company has been without e-mails for 6 days now with absolutely no response to support tickets.
They normally have a live chat option but this has recently been removed, so we have no way to contact them except though the tickets and those remain unanswered.
We will be moving to a different hosting service, but we can't do that until our website and e-mails are back up. Your guess is as good as mine as to when that will be.

Feature-Stripped Hosting, where they remove features and charge you to get them back
I used Vidahost six years ago, which was an excellent shared hosting service. TsoHost bought them and have spent the past few years deteriorating the features and quality - and now they've removed the ability to have free Let's Encrypt SSL's. They didn't warn about removing this option, but prevented the auto-renew that's been in place for my years of using this host - my sites are now down unless I cough up for one of their paid SSL's starting at £50p/y (or I move away to another host, which I will be doing).
I'm a web dev that sign up to various hosts for clients depending on business needs, and I can say even at the entry-level end of the market, tsoHost is now the absolute worst hosting service on the market. Unless you like paying for a bunch of features that are free absolutely everywhere else, avoid.
Not an honest company
Their terms and conditions state "tsoHost offers a no-quibble 30 day money back guarantee" and "refunds can take 7 working days to be processed." UK 2015 consumer rights act states "you must refund within 14 days". From the day they agreed the refund and opened a refund ticket it took them 28 days to even start processing the refund and further 3 days before the money arrived in my account. If I had not chased them repeatedly on chat I am sure they would never have paid up.
Stay away and if you'r unlucky enough to already have an account, get away as fast as you can.
NOTE: Took just two hours to transfer our site, email accounts, SSL and domain to a new provider where (1) Everything just works (2) We have 10x more storage space and (3) (non introductory) prices are less (4) there is helpful online documentation
24 hours I have been waiting for a…
24 hours I have been waiting for a support ticket to be answered, yet nothing. I have no option to get a live chat. so here I am stuck, unable to contact tso my email is down, so hence my business is down too.
I would seriously consider another hosting company for your business domains. They used to be great, but since they were bought out, its not so great at all.

TSO no longer take calls from their customers, they only take money.
Their 02078552055 phone number will confirm that they don't take calls.
I didnt get a reply to my ticket until today, 25th July
That's right
9 days later!!
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE
And dont get me started on their 'live chat'
What a waste of time that is!!

No response to technical support…
No response to technical support questions at all....5 days and still no reply. It's impossible to operate a business with no support. And to TSO, before you spend time responding to this review - I implore you to clear the backlog of support enquiries you have first.

Honestly what can I say about TSO, they have been poor over the yearss but this last 3 months have been AWFUL, laughably bad. Cost us so much time (which equals money) with thie rpoor migration, terrible customer service.

TICKETS - 5 Days forr a response.
You cannot run a hostign company like this. We have 25 accounts with them I would estimate - we are going to move ALL of them.

What about apologising for migrating servers, resetting passwords and then changing server hostname on client emails. You have cost us so much time dealing with multiple clients.
You are getting higher volumes of customer tickets and LIVE CHATS because you have broken customers settings!!!!!!!!!
It's IT - if it's not broke, dont try and fix it FFS

Bad support is one thing
Bad support is one thing, but tsohost takes it to an entirely new level. They've been ghosting me for over a week now. All I want to do is update the resgistrar info for a domain so that I can get an EPP code. It's hardly rocket science. But their system for doing this doesn't work and despite raising 3 support tickets, I have not even had an email acknowledgement. I want to remove this company from my life and go to Namecheap, but until they do something, I am stuck with them.
I see on all the reviews complaining about customer service, they use the excuse that they are experiencing high call volumes. This isn't acceptable. I need to change my WhoIs data and you are obliged to allow me to do that. It's not an optional luxury.
Thanks for the response, but if you had read the many support tickets I've raised, you would know that this process does not work. I've completed it multiple times on my unlocked domain, responded to the confirmation email, yet the details have not updated.

Customer service non-existent
Literally no response at all to raising a ticket about email not working. Email service is central to my business and after patiently raising a ticket for support yesterday, I got no response. This morning, I am waiting on the live chat for over 1 hour, having previously been cut off having waited for 30 minutes. It is ridiculous.

What a Shambles
What a Shambles, forced a migration on to me and thousands of others, now charges £72.00 per year to use an inferior email hosting company. I can no longer access my emails, there is currently no LIVE support, there is no telephone number to call!! I would gladly stay on hold for 5 hours if it meant I could access my company emails at the end of it!!! my TICKET goes unanswered for days at a time, then they only send me pages of technical mumbo Jumbo... I get better storage and service from my Sky mail account set up nearly 20 years ago FOR FREE!!!

Emails no longer send and receive and support appears to be non existent now.
Since the forced migration to a new package my emails no longer send or receive. Outlook and other mail clients show a successful connection to the updated IMAP settings, but TSO has messed something up on their end. I created a ticket and they haven't responded in over a week. I haven't had any emails that whole time and it has started to effect my business. TSOHost quality and support is dropping fast. It might be time to jump ship.
Edit: It's now been 10 days and still no response. I've now resolved the issue myself, by learning how to setup DNS records. The TSOHost FAQs were very little help. The 10+ days of down time caused by TSOHosts miss-management of this migration, has effected my business income. I have been so happy with TSOHost in the passed, but it's been a gradual decline since GoDaddy took over, which isn't a surprise. I'll be looking for alternative hosting solutions.

Unreliable with no effective support
Used to be good but now awful and am migrating all my business.
Unable to contact by phone or chat. Days to answer support tickets. Settings change without notice stopping emails getting through. SSL not renewed. Should not be surprised as they are owned by GoDaddy
Use at your peril.

Doubled the price and took our site offline.
Despite previous issues we continued with tsohost as their price was very competitive. A few days after renewing for next year was advised that we were being migrated to a 'new and improved cPanel web hosting platform' at about twice the price. On the update day was I advised this was taking place and there would be a few minutes downtime. This lasted 24 hours so filed a support request - no response for several days. Tried Chat but gave up waiting several times as they were very busy. Eventually (after 7 days offline) was able to chat and advised the we needed to update our DNS settings. However, the new hosting does not support access to DNS as I understand the tsohost nameservers have been discontinued. Have now cancelled (and requested a refund on next year's hosting - l live in hope). Fortunately I have an up to date backup held locally. Now in the process of setting up again with a different organisation which has proved very straightforward - should have done it ages ago! Avoid!

Customer for 10 years. Downgraded and charged more!
I've been a satisfied customer since 2014. Two days ago I discovered my websites were unreachable. Turns out I have been downgraded to their most basic package that doesn't include DNS or SSL, and they've increased the price! Bye tsohost.

SSL renewal nightmare
After paying for an SSL renewal and following all instructions (sent to the old admins email and not the current email on the account) the new certificate isn't setup properly.
No phone support since 1st July 2024 is a bad sign, no live chat despite it saying everywhere it should be available and no response to ticket #3708275 in 4 days even to acknowledge the issue.
Terrible service, will be looking at other hosting services.

Put prices up
Put prices up, carried out a server "upgrade" created a huge amount of work and now 10 days later they have killed my websites and email across 10 websites and no response from the support service.
Edit - 12hrs later I have still not had a response to my ticket, live chat is not working, and nobody seems to care.

Dreadful support
I have used tsoHost for years without problems. But after months of issues with email, and a nosedive in customer service, I feel I have no option but to transfer my domain and hosting to a new provider.
The latest issue has left me locked out of email for 3 days and counting, forcing me to hassle the support team via a ticket system which has led to precisely zero replies so far. There is no other way to reach the team, even though my emails are bouncing and irretrievable. It’s a shameful way to treat a loyal customer, and a real disappointment because customer service was good until a few months ago.
Ironically I can’t even transfer my domain urgently because it requires an update to the domain’s IPS tag that can only be requested - you guessed it - via a support ticket. No reply yet.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They've lost all my emails during their migration, I've been a customer for over 10 years and they say they can't identify me, so I have no access to their platform. Total loss, customer service can't help, senior management gone AWOL. My advice is don't touch them with a bargepole! Shocking

Unexpected dirty-dog behaviour
I was with TSOhost since approx. 2010. The support team showed spots of brilliance (men with Russian-sounding names) and was otherwise quick and usually well informed. I had one longstanding complaint: They kept calling my 'primary domain' a domain-name that I no longer owned, and was not entitled to use. They kept telling me that it was my 'original domain name' and could not be changed. (I never did understand this unexplained meaning.) A week or so ago, I discovered that this domain was parked in my cPanel, it was live, and carrying the pages of someone I do not know. Enraged, I immediately directed my DNS to another provider. Then I asked for my website's backup pages to be sent to my new provider. TSOhost simply deleted my pages. I must admit, I did not even suspect TSTOhost of being capable of this sort of dirty-dog behaviour. But it is. So be very careful.

Have been waiting nearly a week now to get a response on a simple ticket, no response, no chat facility, no phone line to call, there's no way to get through to anyone! Will have to migrate all sites away to another provider.
