Greed has taken over

Greed has taken over. Too many tickets sold, creating long queues for events, food stations etc. You get very little for the high prices paid as guaranteed you will spend most of your night stuck waiting in a queue. I’m glad I experience Tulleys in its infancy but safe to say I will not be attending again.

Excellent care of patrons

I recently visited Talley’s with my husband and two daughters. I suffer from coronary heart disease and have previously undergone open-heart surgery. Unfortunately, I have since developed another blockage, which causes me to become very breathless when walking and suffer from angina. I also have a few other co-morbidities and hold a Blue Badge.

By the time I reached the front entrance from the car park, I was completely out of breath and in a lot of pain. A gentleman in a light blue vest was incredibly kind and helpful. He spoke with us until I had recovered, opened the security fencing so we did not have to queue, and clearly explained where we needed to go. He also took the time to mention that some of the mazes might not be suitable for me, which I greatly appreciated. Thanks to his advice, I was able to make informed choices at the entrance.

We were also given fast track access, which helped immensely as I struggle to stand for long periods. I want to say that Talley’s truly looks after their visitors, and I am deeply grateful for the care and understanding shown to me that day.

Seeing the excitement on my daughters’ faces meant the world to me, and I had a wonderful time. I hope to visit again next year. To the gentleman in the blue vest, thank you for your kindness, patience, and compassion. I only wish I had caught your name.

Formal complaint

I am writing to formally raise my concerns regarding my recent visit to Tulleys Farm on Saturday, 11th October 2025. I attended with my brother and his partner, arriving at approximately 6:00pm, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing given the high cost of the tickets and the overall expectations we had based on previous visits.
Upon arrival, we encountered delays in parking, which took considerably longer than expected. Once we entered and received our wristbands, we decided to grab some food before heading to our first attraction, The Penitentiary, where we waited around 40–50 minutes to get in.
After that, we went to The Carving attraction, which involved an additional hour-long wait. By the time we completed this, it was already around 9:00pm. We then attempted to join the queue for the Haunted Hayride, which showed a 100-minute waiting time. Additionally we walked around the attraction and decided to wait for Electrick Circus, they advised it was about a 25 minutes wait however, we ended up queuing for an additional 40 mins and gave up as by this time, it was 10:30-10:45pm. To make matters worse, the Hayride closed earlier than stated on your website and FAQs — which indicate that attractions remain open until at least 10:45pm. Whilst I can understand it's a popular attraction, that's still not the point.
At that point, the remaining attractions were also showing minimum waiting times of 40+ minutes, making it impossible for us to enjoy all the experiences we had paid for. Given that we each paid £68 per ticket, we expected to be able to experience a reasonable number of attractions, but we were only able to complete two out of the 12 attractions before having to leave. That is terrible and not acceptable.
In addition, the parking exit at the end of the night was extremely congested and poorly managed, resulting in long delays leaving the venue.
I also wish to raise concerns about the time-slot booking system. It is unclear how this is managed in practice, as guests who arrive earlier seem to be able to stay for the entire evening, which defeats the purpose of staggered entry times. Could you please clarify how these time slots are enforced and whether there is any capacity management in place? Based on our experience, it felt as though the venue may have been over capacity, contributing significantly to the excessive wait times.
Given the amount spent on tickets and additional purchases such as food and drinks, I feel that we did not receive the value or experience that Tulleys Farm promotes. I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and if you could consider offering us the opportunity to return on another day to properly experience the attractions we paid for.
I look forward to your response and hope that Tulleys Farm will take this feedback seriously to ensure future guests do not experience similar disappointment. I have written 3 complaints but have so far not received a response.

Pumpkins, Performers, and a Path That Fights Back.

Michelle on Wheels: Tulleys Farm Pumpkin Picking 🎃
Gravel, Gourds, and Grit—A Night of Autumnal Chaos

Last night we swapped Reading’s pavements for pumpkin paradise at Tulleys Farm in West Sussex. Known for hosting the UK’s number one pumpkin festival, Tulleys transforms its working farm into a glowing autumn spectacle—with over 1.5 million pumpkins and gourds spread across 100 acres. It’s a place that promises magic, and in many ways, delivers.

Let’s start with the good:

- Pumpkins galore: Thousands of them, stacked like autumn’s answer to Jenga. Squashes in every shape and shade. Wheelbarrows are free to grab, and you can pile them high. They’re priced by size and surprisingly cheap—I got carried away, and so did everyone else.
- Food & fun: Food is a big thing at Tulleys. If you want it, they probably have it. From marshmallow roasting pits to themed snacks and endless stalls, it’s a feast for every craving. We bought marshmallows there—you can grab a generous bag or opt for a s’mores kit. The kit was a joke: two marshmallows and four of the tiniest chocolate-covered digestives I’ve ever seen. We laughed, we toasted, we got sticky. Worth it? No. Memorable? Absolutely.
- Live entertainment: Scattered throughout the site are different sections with live music and performances. The singers we had the pleasure of seeing were genuinely amazing—talented, engaging, and the perfect soundtrack to a chilly night of pumpkin chaos.
- Light show walk: Twinkly, photo-ready, and slightly chaotic. Snap your shot and move on unless you fancy a queue.
- Staff & cleanliness: Top marks. Friendly, helpful, and constantly cleaning. The place is spotless.

Important to know:
After dark, you can’t go into the massive pumpkin field to pick your own straight from the ground. The field is closed, so all the pumpkins are pre-picked and beautifully displayed. You still get a fantastic selection—but if you’re dreaming of a moonlit forage through the vines, think again.

Now the part that made me want to scream into a pumpkin: the terrain.

Tulleys is a working farm, and while they’ve clearly tried to be inclusive, it’s just not manual wheelchair friendly. The ground is covered in large, tough gravel—chunky stones that scoff at standard wheelchair wheels. I swapped mine for all-terrain wheels and still couldn’t push myself. My partner tried and struggled. I’m lucky (ish) to be a little mobile with crutches, so I had to use those for stints. It was exhausting, frustrating, and frankly humiliating.

If you’ve got an electric wheelchair, you might manage. A mobility scooter would be better. But for manual chair users? It’s a no. And that’s heartbreaking, because the rest of the experience is beautiful.

Tulleys has a rich farming history dating back to 1911, and today it’s known for seasonal events like Shocktober Fest, Pumpkin Nights, and Christmas experiences. They’ve built something truly special—but accessibility needs to be part of that magic.

Final verdict:
Tulleys Farm delivers on pumpkins, vibes, and festive fun. But for me, the physical toll outweighed the joy. I left with a wheelbarrow full of squash, a heart full of mixed feelings, and a playlist in my head thanks to the brilliant live singers. Beautiful place, but not built for me.

Would I go again?
Only if someone invents hover-wheelchairs, gravel-repelling boots, and s’mores kits that don’t look like they were packed by a dieting squirrel. Until then—Michelle on Wheels, signing off with sticky fingers, sore arms, and one very judgmental pumpkin staring at me from the kitchen counter.

Gravel: 1. Me: 0.

Discrimination at its prime

Discrimination at its prime.

Upon driving in we was directed to a parking area by 2 members of staff. When I met the 3rd I asked where disabled parking was and was advised I shouldn’t have come to that car park and need to head out, back in and turn left instead of right (this was no problem). Sadly, when I done so, the first member of staff told me I didn’t need disabled parking, I advised I did and would be proceeding to the left. She snorted at me and moved out of the way. However, the second female member of staff, slightly older with glasses behind her said “you don’t have a blue badge you don’t need disabled go to normal parking” I stated I did have a blue badge and will use disabled parking. She finished off with “well you best have one as, if not, you will be towed”. I have never felt so pre-judged and discriminated against before even leaving my vehicle!

Following this the prices were extortionate (2 burgers, 1 chips, 2 soft drinks and 3 cookies) come to a total of £50. Would avoid as this was just a horrible experience overall.

An Unforgettable Night at Tulleys…

An Unforgettable Night at Tulleys Shocktober Fest!

My recent visit to Tulleys Shocktober Fest was fantastic! The atmosphere, creativity, and attention to detail made it an experience to remember. I’d highly recommend purchasing Fast Track tickets, as the park gets very busy and queues can be quite long.

A special shout-out to Holly (the manager) and Sarah (from The Coven maze) for going above and beyond to make our visit so enjoyable. Their friendliness and enthusiasm really stood out and added a personal touch to the evening.

I’ll definitely be returning next year — I already can’t wait for another night of scares and fun! 👻🎃

Utterly useless visit for the…

Utterly useless visit for the exorbitant pricing. Not even a half of worth for the prices paid.

I shouldn't be comparing it though, but this is not even 1% of the Keukenhoff Gardens in Holland against 25% more rates charged.

If there aren't much flowers remaining by April end then they should shut the operations by April 25th or may be discount the tickets to a lower value. They did neither.

Before the farm visit, they sent an extensive email of do's and dont's but in that email they do not mention where exactly the shuttle service is located at Three Bridges / Crawley station. Spent a few more £ to reach.

I left the Keukenhoff Gardens after an extensive 5 hour walking, when my feet got tired. Left the Tulleys farm in 1 hour because there was nothing to see for.

I should have checked the reviews on Trustpilot before my visit.

Please save yourself and do not visit the place. Better plan in advance and visit the Keukenhoff.

Shocked at extortionate entry price

Shocked at extortionate entry price. £19.95 each. SURPRISE treat for mum in law. No confession for pensioners. Nearly fainted & to the teller looked embarrassed to ask. For an extra tenner each could have easy jetted her to Holland. Then greek chicken wrap lunch, scantily filled £12 each. Won't be going again. Kew Gardens just £15.50pp. Warwick castle up the road from £26. Not cheap either but a days entertainment too. Hadn't realised attached to Hatton Country World, as another notoriously HIGH PRICED midlands venue. Should get a free bunch of bulbs for that price at least. Wouldn't recommend or go again. Took 1.30mins to go around with and 80yr old. She isn't fast on her feet.... 🤔

We went today around 3.30 pm. It was full of colourful tulips, so many varieties. Worth the price. It was illuminated everywhere by sunset. Excellent services too. Only downside is, it was overcrowded so couldn't get quality photos but can't complain as the tulip display is only available for a short period but you can spend as much time as you like there.

The tulip fields are not accesable for a wheelchair, went to check it out before booking, good job we did, there are stones to get in, they write about there being a metre of grass between the tulips for standard wheelchairs but it is impossible to get over to the grass or anywhere else, no thought has been given to wheelchair users at all, I nearly fell out when trying to get across the stones, bitterley disappointed

Disappointed.I would not suggest

I was there yesterday and I was so disappointed. The price is so high to compare to the other tulips field I have been in the UK.You pay that much and for nothing. The field is so small. Is not any activities there to do.There are some food stalls which are so expensive.I have been to a lot flower fields in the UK but this is the worse .They don’t have even any play equipments .For some tulips is so late now and for some is so early .Definitely not going anymore. We paid 50£ for 3 people for 1 hour there ,just for tickets. There were more people than enough. You couldn’t make any nice photo because it was overcrowded. They should have a limit how much people to accept in.On top of that there are so much staff. They were everywhere in my pics. They just follow you if you step in tulips.I felt like I am being followed as I am doing any crime.

Chaotic experience

It was like christmas has kicked you in the face. Too many things going on at once. The different areas are so compact and close to each other that you forget which way you going when you reach the the junction points. Too much sound pollution also, there's not one quiet area. For us it was too over the top and with all the crowds it was quite exhausting.
The main hub/entrance area was good and so was the food. There was space to sit and eat too.
Our favourite place so far this year would be Leonardslee Lights.

Disappointingly Basic

This was a very disappointing event. We were so looking forward to meeting Santa but the whole experience was full of very long queue waits, being bundled into a lacklustre tractor. No invitation to talk to Santa, just a strange story about the reindeer. The worst part was that photographs were prohibited so if you wanted a photograph (which of course you would!) you had to pay £25 for the cheapest print package. We then had to wait over an hour to do build a bear which took the shine off Santa’s gift somewhat. When I asked my kids what they enjoyed about the day - Santa wasn’t even mentioned. My kids did enjoy the circus and the magical forest but out of 11 activities that was all they enjoyed. The weirdest one was the Elves Candy Cane Lane - we queued 45 mins to walk through some bare Christmas trees to get a stamp. Really odd and waste of time. Food was also very limited and pricey. Lots of junk food. Generally a very basic place.

So sad, loyal customer no more!

I've been coming to Tulleys every year for 9 years, I remember when Tulleys was magical and everything had been thought of. The elves were in Character even when walking between attractions, they were jolly and chatty, this year they were just people in elve costumes stamping books, talking amongst themselves about what shifts they've worked and what attraction they've worked outside that day. There used to be the snow machine under the photo opportunity and heating inside things like the 3D Cinema, the queue for the toy workshop etc, this year there was no heating anywhere. It was bitterly cold. Even the bathrooms didn't have hot water, it was ice cold and no option of hot. The food prices were extortionate and limited for choice, for the price you'd expect it to be hot but it was rubbish, and cold. Even the hot chocolates were lukewarm. There was no band this year, it was missed. The post house elves used to make such an effort and this year they just stuffed a letter in your hand. The greenscreen before santa there was no buzz, it was take a quick pic and shove a card in your hand, then get hurried along for the next person. Ths attractions seem like they need refreshment and sprucing up as everything looked run down.
Cookie making with Mrs clause was unorganised over subscribed and absolutely ruined, just two people screeching on a stage. Finally getting photos was shocking, there was one gormless man working on a run down and understocked counter by the entrance, it was shocking how long we had to wait to get our photos only for him to tell us he doesn't have any snowflakes, and no radio to ask for more to add insult to injury the pictures were poor quality. This will most likely be our last year of coming to Tulleys as I feel the magical and love have gone and its become another money making scheme instead of an experience. So sad. I've loved Tulleys for years and always left 5 star reviews I never thought I'd ever leave a 1 star review.

Very disappointed

Today we went to the santa experience. It was myself, husband, 5 year old and 6 month old. It cost £200 and for the price I was very disappointed by our day. Despite how expensive it is just for the tickets, once your inside, EVERYTHING is overpriced! Even a tiny kids ride, which i thought was going to be free, cost us £6 for 1 go! There was lack of baby changing places. We had to queue for ages. Everything else was even more disappointing. The tractor ride to santa had more than 20 people on one ride. Everyone looked very uncomfortable sitting on top of random strangers. And then when we got in with santa we didn't realise we were going to have to see santa with 20 plus people! It was the most disappointing looking santa iv ever seen. There was no interaction with individual kids, just a random story told to everyone and then a quick photo infront of him and leave. I was so upset as it was my 6 months old first christmas and my 5 year old first christmas as a sister and it was just all rubbish. Santa gives you a ticket for a toy but there's a catch. Your only allowed a toy if you do not do the stuff your own teddy. I thought stuff your own teddy was a seperate thing to the present from santa! The teddies are awful, cheap quality. We purchesed the overpriced photos for memories but when i got home and looked at them they are awful quality pictures. Honestly for the money, the whole day was a total disappointment. This was our first time and it will be the last. This was the worst christmas day out we have had since having kids. I hope this review helps people to maybe think otherwise before going here for christmas. They advertise its magical but it was far from magical.

Good but poor value for money

The actual concept is great and well executed Well done Tulleys. However, being herded in to to see Santa 20 at a time, NOT being allowed to take photos but paying Tulleys for the privilege and being ripped off £3 for a coke, £7.50 for a baguette or £11.50 for a hotdog is just blatant profiteering of a captive audience! The circus was excellent but what was "discover your inner Elf" all about? Walk through a converted cow shed, stamp your child's card and get a badge? Try 4 Kingdoms, it's as good but better value
