I bought an unblock tech from Amazon and there was an issue, so i contacted these people on wechat because they said they troubleshoot . However they said can’t help me because they turned out not to be the seller. Ok then. I said can you perhaps suggest something and they said no· I said you not very helpful and that’s why your rating on the net is low. From there the person stsrted to abuse me on the wechat - called me a ”f idiot” 4 times, then A..hole, then said f* my mother, d. head etc and kept going for another 10 minutes in this vein. Then called me a king b..ch. Please do not buy from such rude and unpleasant people. I have screenshots of the abuse

The "australia" part just means that it has Australian apps preloaded (abc iview, 7plus, etc) which you can do to any android device.

The problem is that they say it can show 4K video. And yes, the hardware is capable of that. But they limit it to FullHD in the software, and there is no possible way for you to change that. You have to install a different Android for it to work; Coreelec for instance.

When questioned on the limitation, they ignored me. Now they refuse to respond to any emails whatsoever. The item is only a few months old, so still within warranty, so i hope nothing goes wrong.

But the lies are in complete breach of Australian Consumer Law and I feel like taking the fight on, out of spite.

You people need to do some research before buying anything like this. I mean does the mentioned website actually exist? No it does not. If you see these types of ads ignore them please. These are heartless thieves.

Remote Control will not work. Requested support via their webpage without response. There is no telephone number to contact for support. THIS IS A SCAM

This tv box did not work as it should every time it was turned on it has to be rebooted before it works. I have sent a number of emails explaining the problem but the response has been very vague and reply's have been taking a long time coming. If this is the way that customers are treated then this company cannot be trusted. The box was ordered in mid October the problems started around the 20/10/22.Order number 4487

I have had this tv box for a few months now. Let's clarify in detail:It did not come preloaded with all the apps and after email contact with the company (which btw is the only way they communicate) I managed to download the missing ones not via google store, but another app on the box called Aptiod TV, which confirms its a Chinese knock off, however it does work with 9nine now ch7, youtube etc and that's really all I wanted it for. The keyboard controls and pointer do work however it's not highly responsive. One big issue I had to solve myself was the 9now app losing sound which meant I had to uninstall & reinstall until I worked out that it was the auto update that was screwing it up, so turned that off, it's fine now. Clearly the software in the box is not up to spec. All in all, for me, it does what it's supposed to do, however (1) there is little to no tech support and any communication is email only (2) install instructions & lack of tells me it's definitely a "knock off" (3) Ignore the advertising on their website, the so called 5 stars and the countdown timer to the special price is a lie. (4) Foxtel apps don't work on this box however they did tell me this.
For the timebeing my tv box still works and when it stops, I will bin it and buy something else.
If you aren't tech savvy and arent willing to press buttons to fix issues yourself, I wouldn't recommend it.

A big thanks to Trustpilot - as I saved some money. Like some of the reviewers here, I thought that this "TV Box Aust" would be a trustworthy company in Aust and run by Australians - as they say on their site! All the information on the site built confidence but I emailed them (twice actually) asking if their TV box would suit my simple requirments and would they be able to load in a certain video player app for me as I was not confident with doing it myself.

I asked twice how much extra it would cost for them to do it. Well no reply! I even had one in the shopping cart ready to pay - and they had a sale on - apparently down from $199 to $139, with free shipping and a keyboard remote thrown in. They had a countdown timer for when the sale ended and "Hurry!" notices which was at 10 hours 45min when I became interested and so I spent most of that time searching for information on the company and their TV Box. Could not find anything! So with less than 30 minutes to go on their countdown timer, I did a search for TV Box Aust Review and came on to Trust Pilot. So glad I did! As my impulsive nature would have bought that bad bad cheap copy box and regretted it.

Even their site is suspicious: after a while being on the site looking over it, the page turned off and got this message: "Your connection is not private

I've been around for a while but still too trusting so I'm glad I read about so many experiences from others. But still, from being around a while, it's obvious to me now that this company is a facade - some type of scam that promises a lot to get your trust but then not deliver what is promised - the company might not even be in Australia but overseas with drop shipping used to deliver inferior $10 copies with poor performance. So I saved myself $139. Ps, the one 5 star review here may be either a fake review put up by some friend of the company or somehow one of their boxes did actually work well.

Received one off these off my girlfriend for my b'day and it's the biggest waste off money,I've not seen such a cheap nasty peace off equipment since I brought something from the market I have mine in my theatre room right next to our modem so no reason for the slow delayed picture where the voices font match up with where you up to on the screen I've unplugged mine and listed it on Facebook market place if anyone is interested it's on there for 65 dollars only 4 weeks old

From 3 weeks ago during the completing the purchase process, they charged me $15 for express shipping but they have shipped it as the normal process.
As for the product itself, they say on the website that the device has two controls (manual control and keyboard control), but in fact, it has only one control and the keyboard is behind the back. After installation (given that they said in the instructions for use to charge the control as much as just a cup of coffee), but after half an hour of charging, I still could not use the control. finally, after about 4 hours, the charge was completed. I worked with the device that night, but again the day after I was not able to use the control and it did not work at all. It is really disappointing.
I emailed them 3 times through the site, but I did not receive any response until now, and at the same time, they do not reply to messages in Facebook Messenger at all.
I will definitely follow this case through Fair Trading.

The box is a little glitchy
They also advertise Freeview FV and ABC iview
But I'm unable to find them in the playstore so can't watch those. False advertising as these were on of the reasons I bought it, I have no tv aerial.
They have a contact via email and messenger but have had no reply or response on either from them.
I wouldn't buy again.

Why all the bad reviews ?
Ordered mine despite negative posts. They all can't be bad. A little more expensive than other brands, but I ordered 13/10, received 18/10 including a weekend.
5 out of 5 for that alone. Simple instructions 1,2,3.
Using on my Blaupunkt 50 inch digital tv.
Connect to my wifi, sign in to google, sign in to you tube & Netflix. Took 10 mins. Easy as. Has almost the same home screen format as our smart tv's. works great. Very happy.
Fast, easy to navigate, great quality picture and plays any you tube video you want as good as the smarts.
No jittering, no freeze, no stutter. No worries.
Don't know what the beef is with the negatives, they must have stuffed things up or be well away from wifi.
I'm impressed with mine, can't fault it, works great.
No issue with remote or key board (got that free with the purchase).

I have had two TV Box Australia as the first one failed and could not a get a reply for assistance, stupidly enough bought another one and it stopped working after 9 months.
Again, I emailed their office twice, to no avail.
I even visited their office in the City of Sydney that's on their website, just to find out they do not exist. I would never recommend anyone to consider this company or the product. I ended up buying the Amazon Fire Stick for less than half of their price, which is superior to the TV Box Australia.

I purchased an Android TV Box so I could watch BINGE that I am subscribed to and catch up TV, paid $139 paying at least $100 above value to support Australian business but got scammed. I received it & found that the unit was faulty because the "RETURN" button on the remote did not work and I could not install the ABC iView catchup Apk. I sent them a Message via their web portal a day after receiving the unit. They claim on the web page that they are an Australian owned company, this is a lie as Aussies do not scam their mates. They also claim on their web page that they provide a 12 month warranty and will be happy to send a replacement unit if tech support doe not solve the problem. After more then a week nothing has changed, they are now ignoring me. After several further emails to their tech support they only acknowledged one and answered another by asking me to send a video of the problem. They do not have a phone contact number or an address under their company name but sent it from Dig8tal P/L, Po Box 6035, CHULLORA, NSW, 1405 ?. No such company on the web and why are they hiding their identity but they could not help them selfs with the lucky 8 giveaway. They must be some kind of a scam (lucky 8) pretending to be Australian company, operate from overseas via Australian ReShipping address. I just want a full refund as they refuse to solve my problem. I also told them that I am willing to take the unit back to their address and swap it but no replay. I just want something that they advertised on their web page and in working order.
They should be deregistered and the web site closed down as they miss-lead customers and do not support their product.
I also submitted a complaint to ACCC, they are there to protect Aussies from companies that still operate like this scammer.
DO NOT BUY IT, you can get a similar one on eBay for $30 that works, eBay will give you a full refund if paid by PayPal on faulty units.

Warning. Do not buy this product. The name alone is a total farce. There is nothing Aussie about it, just a cheap USELESS piece of Chinese rubbish. Wish I had read and took notice of the reviews. Software won't load, remote doesn't work, instructions are infantile gibberish and customer support is ZERO - no response whatsoever. I will be filing a complaint to the NSW Department of Fair Trade.

I purchased this product after viewing their website and thought that I was supporting an Australian company.
However on receiving the box and attempting to set up I found that the remote doesn't work. I then sent off numerous emails asking for help or to replace the remote but to no avail. The box and remote are very poor quality build and the product manual is just rubbish.
The alarm bells should have sounded when I couldn't find a phone number for them.

Very Disappointed. Plug and play is easy enough, The remote is difficult to use and markings on the keys in blue is impossible to read. You Tube and Spotify work, as does ABC on demand. SBS app already out of date and while you can download the update, it will not function. Anything we have tried to download via Google play will not work. SBS allows us to sign in, search and find programs and select play, but then takes you straight to the TV box menu to start again. Tried Foxtel Go and when entering username and password program reverts to TV box menu. Bluetooth in search mode will not find any of our bluetooth devices to pair it with.

Do not purchase from this business.
The TV Box doesn't work as promised, won't support more than half the apps it says it will.
Support is pretty useless too. They try and direct you to unsecure sites to download apps from when the Play Store doesn't support the product.
AVOID!!

Doesnt look like box on website, hard to navigate and poor quality. Do not buy.

Do not purchse this box, it is crap and doesnt not work.. There aftersales service is non-existent.
