Spent ages choosing quite a few products to order from Twinings website. Wanted to use PayPal: neither the express checkout or the longer route would connect to PayPal. Tried Twinings chat option, gave up after 15 mins waiting, but it had a message saying they would email you if you couldn't wait. Needless to say, I'm still waiting for the email, days later.
What has happened to this once-good company!!!

Went on this site to see the reviews just to see if it was just my taste buds but others have said how weak as p….! The Green tea is now. you deserve to go out of business with your penny pinching ways by making the tea bags so weak and tasteless. Three bags and still not a decent cup of tea .

Never buying Twinings tea again, weak as pee pee. Now have to use two tea bags to make a decent cuppa, and there are less bags in the box. How to ruin a respected brand.

We have consumed twining earl grey for many years, usually the large boxes containing 4 foil wrapped packs of tea bags. The recent shrinkflation of this packaging is a disgrace, do they think that the 4 packs now containing only 30bags each, which rattle around the large box would not be noticed?
We have had it with ever reducing pack sizes from twinings. We feel misled and ripped off.
No more, we have moved to Aldi own brand and not regretting it.

I have been buying Calm tea for a long time but suddenly it's very weak.

I used to love Twinings English Breakfast tea, but over the last few months, something has definitely changed for the worse. The flavor has become incredibly weak, flat, and bland, losing all the rich depth it used to have. No matter how long I leave it to steep, it just tastes thin and hollow. I actually thought my tastebuds were playing tricks on me until I switched to a Scottish blend and realized how much better a proper cup of tea should taste. Twinings has clearly changed the recipe or the sourcing, and it’s a massive downgrade. I won't be buying this anymore.

We have been drinking twinnings breakfast tea for years. Firstly the yellow box and then the slightly orange boxes. My husband started to complaint that the tea didn’t taste the same so I bought a large amount from twinning’s website to see if the supermarket boxes weren’t as good ( no idea why this would be same company) However to say we are disappointed is an understatement these tea bags are terrible!!! What have they changed? These are not the cheapest option but consumers will pay for a good product. Sadly Sainsbury’s own brand string tea bags taste far better at a fraction of the price. Very very disappointing after years of being a loyal customer. My advice now would be try supermarket own brand tea bags before wasting your money on what used to be a “ Premium “ product

This company has seriously started wrapping individual teabags with plastic packaging?! SERIOUSLY?!?! Shame on you, enemies of planet Earth!

For the price they charge for tea, I expect to not have to peel the outer packaging from the actual tea bag. 9 times out of 10, the tea bags either stuck to the little piece of cardboard or the packet itself, leaving tears in the tea bag and a mess in my cup. The box is stored in a dark, dry cupboard, used within the month and happens EVERY time I buy a box, not just a one off. Sort it out.

I thought there must be something wrong with me, as surely twinings english breakfast tea could not taste of nothing. I used to love a cup as a treat, I have not drunk it for a long time, but decided to splurge on a box. I was aastounded of how it tasted of absolutley nothing all I could taste was water and honey. Its shocking how awful it is, and shocking how they still charge premium prices for you can't even call it budget tea, its worse than that. Its irrelvant tea. Never trusting twinings again.

I hadn't tasted this tea for 30 years until recently, and it has completely lost its strength as a black tea and its bergamot flavor. It's probably because they've changed the formula and now it's made with bergamot flavoring instead of oil. It tastes and smells practically of nothing; it only has a faint aftertaste of bergamot, but it's as distant to the palate as a galaxy.

It's a real shame, but this is a waste of money. It used to be delicious, and now it's a poor imitation of what it once was!

I love Earl Grey with Vanilla tea. I normally purchase a quality product from Malta but it is expensive with shipping on top. So when I saw Twinings Vanilla Earl Grey and it was on offer too - I wanted to grab all the boxes on the shelf, but decided to tread with some caution and purchased just two. I know being a Vanilla connoisseur, there are a lot of bad versions out there, from food/drinks to toiletries and perfumed products.

My review of this tea, is it is DISGUSTING!!!

1. It is weak and only enough for a little teacup; not a standard mug.
2. Earl Grey? What Earl Grey? I mean, where is it? IF you concentrate... there is just a faint taste of something that minimally resembles it somewhere in the background once the shock of the the gross so-called Vanilla registers.
3. Finally, the gross so-called Vanilla: it tastes cheap, synthetic and not like natural Vanilla bean. It is more like a wannabe butter taste with a spray of cheap vanilla perfume; the type you would expect to find in a cheap shower gel. You are left with a nasty aftertaste, too.
Who on earth are these people who approve these flavourings? By the way, I drink my tea black (as E.G. really should be drunk), so the nasty flavour really stands out and does not have milk to come to the rescue by dampening down the vile taste of the tea. This is not proper flavoured black tea - it is a concoction of chemicals in a tea base.

I hope Twinings reply to me so I can arrange to get a refund. I doubt the store will refund me for the one opened box and the other sealed. In the past, I used to buy their EG tea and always enjoyed it - until I switched to the Maltese superior Eg with Vanilla.

They sent a "Standard international shipping" advertisement to my email and then refused to ship in any way other than DHL. Being asked why they don't stand by their word, they gave me a bunch of absolutely ridiculous excuses.

Item content was not as ordered, there was no mug in the uplifting wellness gift box. I've had no response from the query submitted using their online contact form, and emails sent to the contact email address bounced back as undeliverable!

I received my order last Friday it was missing my white box so they resend a replacement but the black box I did receive I give to my sister for a gift but it's a empty black box so I have paid £72 for a empty black box because the replacement box twinning tea has called dhl to send it back to them so I'm having to do a charge back to my card for the full order very disappointed and upsetting its been it shows you what kind of a company you are dealing with when they don't respond to reviews? It says it all I have had to send a letter to the ceo mr olav silden today for him to get his customer service staff to sort out my problem its like sending coal to Newcastle?

The quality of Twinings' Earl Grey tea has reached their lowest point. It's just like drinking (expensive) hot water!
I started drinking Twinings Earl Grey tea back in early 1990s: I still remember the beautiful aroma that came even from the box. The smell of bergamot from the brewing tea was strong and intoxicating. And the taste!
Since a few years, both the taste and smell of bergamot have being disappearing little by little. So much so that 2 years ago I had to find an alternative.
A few weeks ago I decided to give Twinings another try, so I bought a box, full of hope. It was even worse than 2 years ago: absolutely tasteless! Zero! Nada! Slightly coloured hot water! (I can taste and smell everything else so it’s not me). I will never throw away my money and buy this tea again.
