Recipe to FAIL!
Some of the information provided is completely wrong and a lot is missing. I tried taking practice tests on other websites (like https://lifeintheuktestweb .co.uk /exams/) and soon realised how much I didn't know and Dan's course obviously doesn't cover.
After Dan's videos, you get about 10 practice questions, which are all from the video you just saw. So you feel like you know things.
But! try practising by yourself on other websites or resources and soon you start to fail. How can you pass if you get a few questions you didn't study in the first place?

For others reading, this review is full of misrepresentations and outright lies.
I have also been in email contact with them so I know the details of their claims. Let’s go through their claims one at a time:
1. They claim there are inaccuracies.
This part is a lie. The person sent me an example of an ‘inaccuracy’. They said I say that Margaret Thatcher's prime minister term was from 1979 - 1997. He is correct that this is what is written down in the summary table I provide for conservative governments' term. I specifically leave out the other prime minister during this period as you do not need to know them. HOWEVER in the audio when watching this, I explicitly say that Margaret Thatcher’s term is from 1979 - 1990. The ironic thing about this is that it is actually totally irrelevant - all you need to know from this section for the test is that i) Margaret Thatchers was the UK’s longest-serving prime minister of the 20th century ii) She was the first female Prime Minister - these are a typical questions. You would NEVER get assessed on the dates of her tenure.
When I provided this answer to this person, when I was considering their claim, I asked for any further inaccuracies, which he was not able to provide and just replied ‘I am certainly am no expert at reviewing this material to find further inaccuracies’. To claim that there are inaccuracies and then be unable to provide any of them and then claim to others via a review of this nature is unethical.
2. They claim there are gaps missing.
Yes, there are gaps missing, and this is by design. I specifically leave out things you do not need to know. I make this very clear in my marketing that if you want to know everything about what is in the Life in the UK Test Guidebook you should purchase the book and not buy my course as I only cover what you need to pass based on what questions are actually assessed. His above issue with the Margaret Thatcher case is good example of this, where I do not provide the other prime minister and rather focus on the fact all you need to know is that she was the longest-serving prime minister.
He then references that gaps become apparent when going to other test sites and not being able to answer questions. This is not a reflection of me missing critical information you get assessed on, but rather is an issue with other testing websites where they ask questions you would never get asked. He possibly got asked what were the dates Margaret Thatcher was prime minister. You would NEVER EVER get asked this. My assessment is that this person should not have purchased my course, but should have purchased the book and read everything in it and wasted his time learning facts you don’t need to know, so he could answer poorly written questions on other testing websites that you would never get asked.
I tried my best to handle this claim with the person as professionally and seriously as possible, but he turned combative when I asked for actual evidence of inaccuracies.
This is the first 1-star review I have ever had, and the first request for a refund. I pride myself on producing a high-quality course to help those studying for the Life in the UK Test and to receive a review of this nature is upsetting.

I didn’t have much time to prepare and…
I didn’t have much time to prepare and the content seemed overwhelming at first. Then I came across UK life prep YouTube videos. I decided to pay for the full course and it was as simple, easy and organised as I thought it would be. I went through it for just one day and had my exam the next day. I completed my exam within 10 mins and passed!!
Thank you to the people who put this course together and I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!!

The UK Life Prep course helped tremendously to condense the material and save time. The practice tests were very helpful, and I am pleased to say I passed the test with only about 2 weeks of studying. This course was definitely worth the small investment!

What a brilliant course
What a brilliant course , found his course on YouTube and bought the subscription . I think it is overpriced but the course is really good. I watched the videos instead of reading the book . However , not having a set of mocks is a slight criticism as other websites offer set of mocks for as little as 1 pound per week , so you would expect mocks at almost 40 pounds for the course .
I would recommend doing mocks on top of the course . He does a brilliant job of covering everything in a limited time .
But you would need to go through his videos atleast twice as it is very knowledge dense .
But would recommend 100 percent

The course was everything I needed to pass the test on the first try. The speaker has a great voice and communicates in a clear, concise, and consistent manner. The materials were well presented and updated for the recent change in the royal family.

Your online study guide and videos are … as a body of work … immaculate!
Despite being here 20yrs, I was amazed how much I didn’t know, the Middle Ages, the monarchy mess, the exact courts structure etc.
I started studying on Monday afternoon with your guides, and passed first thing this morning (Wednesday ) … full marks .. in 7 mins.
There is genuinely no need to buy the book, and I didn’t get one questions that you hadn’t covered in your study guides.
Thank you so much for your amazing work, It would have taken 15 times longer with the book … and I probably wouldn’t even have gotten full marks ;-)

We put a lot of effort into the history section as that is the most dense part in the handbook. I am sure you loved our flowcharts and summary tables!

The best preparation package

I went through the course about 3 times and went through some practice questions as well. It has definitely made things easier by summarising all the important bits. I passed on my first attempt. It definitely is worth it to invest with this material.

Absolutely Fantastic!
Highly highly recommend this course. It is very succinct and leaves out all the unnecessary information in the book. I studied this for 2 days and did some practice questions - got 23/24 questions common. This course is such a lifesaver for someone who doesn't have/want to spend a lot of time on this test. Completely recommended! I watched all the videos and then I done around 40/50 test and I passed the exam - it took me 4 days to prepare and pass the exam! Recommended for who like me don’t really want to spend much time on it!
