I had a problem with the 2.0 update!! Thanks to the quick support and detailed help, the issue was found right away and the update went through without a hitch! P.S.: It was because of the wrong USB cable :(

Tout est simple, intuitif et offre des fonctionnalités qui, mises bout à bout en font probablement l'un des meilleurs OS de ce type. Stockage, cloud perso, Timemachine, VPN... Tout est possible. J'en profites pour remercier le support et particulièrement Craig, réactif et compétent, qui se plie en 4 pour vous proposer une solution au moindre soucis.

I started off with the AI assistant, my problems were complex and worrisome so after a few exchanges I was referred to Gaile. Very professional, polite, and thorough. I was back up and running the same day. I’m extremely pleased.

Neat OS, ment for hosting applications, virtual machines etc.
I am running it in a VM on a proxmox server; And it fills a gap I have been missing for a wile.
v.2.0 is still in beta, but it works rather well.
And the one issue I had - enable trusted reverse proxy - was fixed from customer support in half a day.
Made me a custom script to quickfix it, so they can find a propper solution for full release.

I had issue connecting my Sparrow wallet to Electrs in Umbrel; I tried all the suggestions I found online through Google search and nothing was working. Once I made contact with Umbrel's support they were quick to respond and gave me step by step instructions that took care of the issue. I worked in IT for 25+ years and this was above my level but they knew exactly what to do. Great customer service; I highly recommend them.

Gailė rocks! Backstory - I have a small Raspberry 5 and run AxeBCH and AxeDGB mining nodes on it. I apply the updates as they come along to apps and OS... made the upgrade from Umbrel 1.7.4 to 2.0 and my miner nodes just flat died! After looking on line to other miners, I saw that there was some changes to 2.0 that made them non-op and there was no planned updates coming! Ugh! I was prepared to wipe it all out, reinstalll 1.7.4 and start over! Ugh! Last ditch effort before I wiped it all out, I hit up Umbrel for a bit of help with the AxeBCH app. The AI bot did fine but didn't fix it... Passed a trouble ticket on and in less than 12 hrs I had a reply! Well, that's not been my typical experience with support on other sites, so hope was slightly restored. Nice email with some stuff to do and BANG! It worked so.... reached back out about AxeDGB not working and a set of commands came along for that too and WHAM! that also worked! I'm back to mining and very very pleased with the support from Umbrel!

umbrelOS 2.0 turned my old PC into the heart of my mining setup

I run umbrelOS 2.0 on an old Xeon PC, and it's become the center of my whole home mining setup. My full Bitcoin node runs on it 24/7, and installing it was as easy as installing an app on a phone. When I wanted Mempool and Electrs, they were a click away. When I didn't need them anymore, I stopped them just as easily.

What really won me over is how open it is. I wanted my own solo mining pool, so I built one: Solo45. The community app store let me publish it, install it, and ship updates that show up with an Update button, just like any other app. Today it runs 13 miners (Bitaxes, an S21, an S19K Pro and a new Hammer Thor X1), all mining against my own node. Being able to build something yourself and have it feel like a first-class app is special.

The developer tools are excellent. The umbrel-apps repo has clear packaging and testing guides and a linter that tells you exactly what to fix. I could test my app through the real App Store on my own device before submitting it.

And the support team is fantastic( Gailė from Umbrel). They saw my app, invited me to submit it to the official App Store, and replied to my pull request within hours, thanking me for the testing notes. It's rare to see a company this responsive and this encouraging to people who build on its platform.

Rock solid, open, and fun to use. If you're into Bitcoin or self-hosting, umbrelOS 2.0 is easy to recommend. Thank you, Umbrel team!

I’m in love with umbrel. What a fantastic piece of software. So well done. So well thought out. I’m using umbrelOS 2.0 and I never had more fun setting up my nas.

The ease of use and whole and complete UX is by far, the single best I’ve seen and experienced. The SSD acceleration works wonders. Such a clever addition. Setting it up is so fast and easy, that I can wholeheartedly recommend UmbrelOS.

I can’t wait for the final iOS and android app. For a standalone photos app. An encrypted cloud backup tailored to umbrel users. It’s been a while since I rooted for a company that much. But I’m very excited to see all planned features and functionalities released. And i truly and sincerely hope, they guys never lose the drive and dedication. It must be so cool to be working something so nice. Code is reviewable. They’re doing everything right.

Really good web and mail problem support.

After figuring out from user error how to install Umbrel OS to my mini pc, I love the interface. It is sleek and beyond user friendly. The apps in the App Store are fantastic and if you have issues, the community chat plus Ai really helps you figure out the issue. One issue I had was my machine, if internet went down, I would have to manually log in using a sudo command to get the device to connect to the wifi. The Ai sent a ticket and Aiden jumped on helping all the way until the new Beta 2 resolved issue. Very knowledgeable and helpful team. Once storage starts to go back down in pricing, I will purchase an Umbrel Pro for an extension to what I am using. I would highly recommend the OS and the devices.

My wife brought me an umbrel for my birthday. It does not stay connected and therefore it's practically useless. We reached out. They trouble shot to no avail. We asked for a refund. They took forever to respond, said they sent a return package for it, which was never received then said they will not accept a return or issue a refund. Do not buy. It's a scammy, low integrity company. $1400 for this type of service??

Umbrel works well for my home self hosting stack.

For me umbrel is the best NAS system 2026 and the support is fast and great.

The analysis that the team carrried out from a few commands was espectacular. It was amazing the way the experts from Umbrel solved the updating problem for my PC. A couple of commands and everything is working. Now, I've updated twice in a row and have running the version 2.0 right now. A service 10 over 10. Congratulations to the whole team!

I had an issue swapping from Knots back to core.
The UMBREL Ai help was initially very good and solved 95% of the issues. When it could not fix an issue with my mempool explorer it set up a help ticket and within a few hours someone responded and with a few simple instructions sorted the problem. I was very impressed.

The support for my specific problem was great. With step by step guide and also the right hints and commands.

The response was fast and qualified and really helpful. I'm impressed.
