Each UNIYU fragrance is designed to overstep physical, geographical and spiritual attributes. Despite the absence of rules, we believe in the power of scent and its ability to translate emotions and unique experiences. At the heart of our fragrance philosophy lies a deep respect for the beauty and complexity of botanical ingredients. These natural elements bring a unique character and depth to our creations. Yet, while the allure of nature is undeniable, we recognise that “natural” does not always equate to “safer.” In fact, certain synthetic ingredients can be less allergenic and more stable than their natural counterparts. Our commitment to sustainability shapes every decision we make—from ingredient selection to production. The process of harvesting botanicals for fine fragrances is often resource-intensive, requiring large quantities of plant material to yield small amounts of extract. This not only places pressure on ecosystems but can also endanger plant species. To mitigate this impact, we collaborate with top fragrance suppliers who share our values, ensuring that our use of natural materials remains responsible and respectful to the environment. In some cases, we turn to nature-identical synthetics - compounds that replicate the molecular structure of natural ingredients. These allow our perfumers greater creative freedom while supporting sustainable practices and reducing the ecological footprint of our fragrances. Our manufacturing partner plays a crucial role in this vision. Located in Provence, our manufacturer operates a dedicated extraction facility, allowing for the direct processing of aromatic plants from the region and across France. Their expertise in sourcing and a global network of suppliers enables them to handle both dry and exotic botanicals, producing a rich variety of high-quality extracts. All extracts are crafted in-house and undergo rigorous quality control by specialised teams, ensuring consistency, purity, and traceability from plant to final product. Longstanding partnerships with growers and suppliers further guarantee the integrity of the raw materials we use.
