Amazing concept, well thought through! Loved CDs! A slightly lower price would let me enjoy it for more days

Great way to zone out and get away. Can’t wish to go back only for longer. Process was pretty straight forward from start to finish with great communication from the unyoked team.

In this day and age of digital overload and cost of living increase it’s hard to find the balance between price and quality. You can pay less and loose out on serenity or pay more and bet the farm. Unyoked manages to meet you in the middle; price, quality and an organic return to the way thing should always be “ feel the serenity” without having to tell them they’re “dreaming”

Gorgeous cabin in a beautiful part of the world!

Loved our stay in Xanthe on antechamber bay on kangaroo island. The perfect getaway into nature. I could stare out the window for hours and never get bored of the view.

We were kindly gifted a 3 night stay as a wedding present and we loved this so much. The voucher was valid for 3 years from the date of gifting and we actually waited 2 years before using it but I’m so glad we saved it up. It was beautiful!

The whole experience, information received prior, the marketing, the branding - love. No notes!

Will be recommending to everyone I know!

I have had 2 stays with unyoked, and i expect many more. The location of the cabins, their concept, partners, and standards are honestly rare to come by these days. Their overall service is seamless and I cannot fault them with anything. The experience has been the closest thing I have felt ti being a child again, the anticipation of the stay, the lead up email with the details, and insights into the cabin and area. I recommend staying atleast 3 nights for a true unwinding experience.

I stayed at Kaia, for 3 nights and 4 days to propose to my girlfriend and Zai from Unyoked was super helpful in supporting my plan in every step of the way. They went above and beyond to help me to support my plans to bring in projectors, rose petals, electric candles etc. and gave us a free bag of firewood for campfire. Zai consulted with the broader team to check the electrical ramifications of bringing things like the projector to a solar powered location. The location was great and was everything we were expecting. The Field Guide was super helpful too. It was easy to find and campfire was great. Cannot recommend Unyoked enough (we had previous good experience from using Unyoked in New Zealand as well).

We loved our stay so much ! so many thoughtful little touches. I loved how private it felt. The view and hot chocolate were spectacular. We will absolutely be back.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Wal. So many wildflowers, couple of kangaroos coming past each morning. Laying in bed, looking outside the big windows while it was raining on and off. Since I have been working for years lots of hours with high stress level, it was the best decision to book the cabin. I finally could slow down, and breath. The cabin had everything needed, the sleep tea was amazing, and it was generally clean. Just the thousands of dog hairs (from a previous visitor) on the carpet were not enjoyable.

Super comfortable and beautiful

This was a very thoughtful gift we received from my employer. We did have to book quite far in advance to get a date that worked, but it was also nice to have something exiting on the horizon. Almost everything need you could have has been thought of by Unyoked - cassettes, negronis, pencils, note books. If you love cooking, the little kitchen is better equipped with premium cookware than most airbnb’s/holiday rentals. I would recommend for both a local and someone travelling from overseas that wants to enjoy the country, as there is very little you need to bring with you, other than food and a pair of good shoes.

We wanted a low friction, chilled, comfortable place to get away that was a bit different and this really nailed that. The cabin was clean, warm and had everything you could want for a couple of nights away. Never saw anyone when we were there (which we really liked but some might not). So quiet at night! The only blemish was not being able to have a fire in the fire pit - nobody's fault, just one of the side effects of a very dry summer in the woods. Loved the little touches from unyoked throughout the cabin, booking and guide. Comfy bed and linen and lovely scenery.

I’ve stayed at one of these locations before. So booked this as a birthday recharge for my partner. He absolutely loved everything about it. Especially the peace and quiet

Wonderful stay in this gorgeous secluded cabin in the woods. They thought of everything, from the location all the way to the pots and pans (loved the Stanley cafetière!!). It has been the calm that I’ve needed and a very special weekend was had. Thank you! Meg & Sam

We stayed at Tibor, what a great little piece of paradise. It felt a million miles away. The view, the sunsets, the sunrise and amazing fog, the wildlife, the open fire, the cosy outdoor bath for two...it was really special. We've only been back a few days and I we've told our friends about Unyoked already! We will be planning the next trip soon :)

So much provided in the cabin and all the guides made a trip away in nature so much more accessible! Brilliant

This was as good as I knew it would be. The sense of isolation, the beautiful views, the fully equipped cabin that allowed me to relax in an outside (fire warmed) tub and chill with music by the campfire under the stars. I should do this more often (but next time I need to pack less as that walk in and out was challenging!)

I was looking for an off-grid get away and Unyoked made it easy to find a tiny house stay that met my needs. There were ample options and locations to choose from and the website made it easy to find and book my preferred tiny house.

My tiny house was equipped with all the basics I needed, and I really appreciated the “field guide” for my tiny house that made it easy to understand all aspects of my tiny house stay, along with many helpful suggestions to help me disconnect!

I re-booked with Unyoked after a really awesome trip a couple years back, but our stay this year was average.
• The first section of the trail leading up to the cabin was mostly deep (20cm) tractor wheel tracks pressed into the dirt. During rains this turned into liquid and the site became almost inaccessible by foot. The wheelbarrows provided to carry things increase your instability in the mud particularly on the hills and aren’t fit for this terrain. I was notified about excessive mud on the site *after* I'd booked, telling me to bring an extra pair of shoes. Felt a bit deceptive. I don’t mind a difficult hike but trying to climb a muddy hill while it actively disintegrated under my feet with gear on my back was a safety concern.
• The composting toilet odor was overwhelming even with the exhaust fan running. We went out and bought a scented candle which had no effect. Each time you opened the bathroom door you were struck in the face with the stench of an open sewer. We had to keep the bathroom door shut at all times and put 2 towels over the toilet bowl to keep the smell at bay. We were aware of the composting toilet system because we’ve used unyoked before but this didn’t happen at our last stay. Unsure if it’s just an infrequently emptied waste bay or an issue with the ventilation in the cabin. There was also just barely enough wood shavings provided to cover 3 nights for 2 people, even though we were sparing with them.
• The tools and amenities at the cabin were tired; the knives are dull, the fire tongs are warped, bent and make it difficult to grab anything, the pepper grinder was broken and I ended up dumping a half cup of whole peppercorns into the food on our first night. The mismatched white towels provided for the shower had rips in them. There’s only 2 clothes hooks in the whole cabin, and no space for hanging clothes / towels.
• Most importantly, after using the outdoor bath, I emptied it while the fire was dying down. 5 minutes later there was a noise like a shotgun and a 6m bolt of superheated steam & water rocketed out of the hot water spout and shot across the campsite, hitting the side of the cabin. If someone had been walking in the line of fire, they would have been severely scalded, blinded or worse.

I think the overall issue here is a real lack of upkeep. I’m aware that these cabins were built several years ago and are probably nearing the time for a refresh. Given that prices have gone up since I last booked with Unyoked and that quality seems (at least from this last visit) to have gone downhill, I might not recommend or re-book.
